J&M are kind, gifted, skilled mechanics. Their owner and his son are kind and helpful. They will ALWAYS have my business. I feel they know their work and do not overcharge. It is almost like having the. business in my family!

They are messing mechanic for an oil change to a rebuilt engine transmission. They re very good very busy but good I reckon them them 100% but you need to be early very busy.

I don't know why this mechanic shop has a low rating I've be owning a car since 1986 these guys I experts caring for your needs etc and good price will be coming back for sure. Electric problem Only if you have an emergency. Used carsOtherwise take to the dealer. New cars only.NYC Inspection very good. Recommend.Mechanic work, like brakes, oil change. EtcMuch cheaper here..Cash only.No credit card here..Good luck..

Great service, honest mechanics. I showed up with a check engine light and a print out from AutoZone saying it was a canister purge valve issue. They confirmed the problem and fixed it within an hour for $158 while also checking the transmission to make sure everything else was okay. It was honest and quick work. Highly recommended.Service: Transmission

Honest mechanics, been going here for over 30 years. They do all types of repair work, from simple oil change to full engine rebuild. Prices are decent compared to dealer Auto service shops

I've been here 3 times in the last 2 years. Jose is the one who has helped me with brakes. Always done a great job. Timely and cheerfully. Actually this last time 3 months later the brakes were making clicking sounds. Something needed to be tightened. No charge. So I'm sold.

Shady ass mechanic. Be careful going here. They will give you a high price, you negotiate to something else and then once the job is finish they will tell you the original high price and threaten you to remove and put everything back. I went in to have a k&n cold air intake install in my Durango, a job that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. Mechanic claim it would take over 1 hour and it would cost 80 bucks. I told him no way that's too high I'll give you 60 and even then that's high. So he went ahead and installed it and it took 30 minutes and he goes to tell me it's 80 bucks I told him no way from the beginning 60. He started arguing with me threaten to put everything back and by the way there was a sign stating labor hourly rate of 60 dollars. I should have paid 30. But anyways after going back and forward to meet at 70 just so I can get the f out of there and never return. BEWARE MAKE SURE PRICE IS SET IN STONE AND WRITTEN ON PAPER BEFORE THEY BEGIN WORKING ON YOUR CAR.

Terrible... Dirty mechanics! Do not trust these guys! They give cheap prices, but they will mess up your car!! I had a great car and just went in for a tune up before a road trip. Half way through the trip I had a slipping/squeaking belt. Thinking these guys were trustworthy, I returned to have my oil changed and the squeaky belt fixed. A week later the belt was squeaking again, and 2 months later my motor just stops working for no apparent reason!?!?! After they replaced my motor, a week later a tube was leaking transmission fluid!! They fixed the tube and now my motor is making a terrible noise and there is no oil in my car!!! My motor was replaced about a month ago! Dirty, Dirty mechanics!!

THIS PLACE RUINED MY CAR SO BADLY IT TOOK TOYOTA 3 WEEKS & 4 GRAND TO FIX WHATEVER THEY DID. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. HUGE MISTAKE!

If you decide to go anywhere else you are making a terrible Mistake. These guys are the best at what they do and they do it in a Timely, professional, and humanistic way. You can tell that these guys are real people who understand and sympathise with real peoples problems. I will be using their services for however long i decide to stay in NY and would Highly Suggest you do the same!

Crooks, I brought my car here because it was overheating. I by mistake left the radiator cap lose and it caught some air. When I brought the car they painted da Vinci master pieces as to what was going to be done and how it would never happen again. Paid them$100 for what they called a check up . 2 weeks later same thing happened, car over heated. Turns out the lower radiator hose was lose and leaking anti freeze. While driving the hose completely came off the engine side. Cost me a pretty penny to tow the vehicle back to them. I m thinking they ll cover their check up and reconnect the hose back from behind the engine. Thinking I was in good hands they robbed me once again. Mechanic Jose took me to another repair shop around the corner jochy and told me that I had to give him $120 for the water pump bases cap since he had me away from his shop there was not one manager I could question about this. Then I had to pay j&m $120 to put that cap on. I found it funny and did some digging. Took my car to 3 other mechanics and turns out that cap on my vehicle doesn t exist. I went to the mechanic who he had borrowed the cap from to replace my starter and took the time to ask and he said that no such cap exist on my vehicle and that jose never went to pay him that day that he simple ran in said hi and ran out as I waited for him double parked. Crooks! Lucky god is big and I don t sue you guys... take my feedback... and avoid these people or atleast the mechanic I mentioned

Rafael is fantastic. The guys here were so proficient and kind. I cannot express enough how much this place helped me out. A genuine community establishment with good guys working. I ll only be going here from now on.

I've been coming to John Grimmet for years and he is always honest about what needs to be done or not done. Not always the best phone personality but he knows his stuff! It was originally his father's business so the knowledge isn't just learned but he grew up around it. And Tiger Lily is awesome. She's his lifelong friend, his dog, ready to visit you while you wait. Or she sleeps in the corner on her bed.
