Stay away!! Bad business here. Manager or whoever the big belly person is a rude and insufferable person..wastes time and tries to lie.

Not even 1 star!!!! Stay away from these scammers terrible business and owner!!!! Establishment worker gave me a price for a wheel alignment of $70 and then once the job was done the owner changed the price to $100 and told me they will not give my car back unless I pay the new price. Even his worker told him it's $70 and the owner said No it's $100 or she will not get her car back. Even the worker was disgusted with his scam robbery!!!! Then owner proceeded to say he will charge an extra $30 on top of that for any credit card charge. Stay away from this establishment!Service: Wheel alignment

Came here a while ago and it was a horrible experience, felt like I should warn people. Please stay away. There s better auto shops in the Barrio with honest people. It s really the owner . He will rip you off and lie to you about problems with your car. I should ve gotten a second opinion but it was emergency.An employee gave me my keys and copy of receipt, looked at it and shook his head. Said how I shouldn t have paid this much and he was sorry because this was wrong and they lose customers because the owner rips people off. :(

So incredibly nasty over the phone when I called to inquire about an inspection I never went. If their level of service is anything like the attitude of the people who answer the phone, I would steer clear.

This place is a rip off. Truck was leaking anti freeze so I take it in and they tell me the water pump is leaking. After they quote me he calls me and says needs another part. $800 and a month later it is leaking again. Will see tomorrow if he honors the warranty he gave me. I don't expect much.

Probably the best gas and auto service station in the whole city. Recently been there with my Accord that was troubling me since long time and the professional staff supervised under Mr. Billy and Mr. Musahid were on to the problem and cleared it like they were having 'a piece of cake'. Later got the due inspection process done and that was smooth too.Professional staff, Friendly interaction, affordable charges, quick and affective service were the impressive quality that i experienced.Highly recommended!!!!

These guys are good, and fairly priced. They found pre-existing issues in my car, that i didnt need them to find, and offered a complete and affordable solution to a 5 year problem that no one, more than 5 other mechanics offered. Including the dealership.

I came to East Side Auto to repair a rear spring on my VW that I knew was broken. Instead of listening to me, Syed (boss/manager: 2/5 stars) said that only the rear struts needed to be done. It was only after the work had started that Edwin (one of the mechanics and a very nice gentleman: 5/5 stars) noticed that the spring was in fact broken. It was then added to the estimate/to do list (which was frustrating). To be fair, the struts did need replacement as well but I did not appreciate Syed ignoring my input.Overall, the work was reasonably priced but Syed also refused to show me the cost of the parts they purchased to redo my rear struts/spring. I found this shady and unprofessional as I would like to know what I am paying for. I understand there is markup, but they should be more transparent.Additionally, when I came to pick up the vehicle I found that the rear seat/seatbelts had been improperly reinstalled and my wheel lock had been misplaced. They fixed it free of charge and found the lock but be warned: GIVE YOUR VEHICLE A GOOD LOOK OVER BEFORE LEAVING.Service: Steering & suspension repair

THEY ARE MAKING FAKE REVIEWS ON THIS PAGE THAT SAY 5 STARS TO COVER UP THEIR THIEVERY. SKIP THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. READ below and believe the real local guides when they say this place is full of CROOKS:Don t go here. Went to them to fix my brakes, came out thinking everything was fine. Then I continue to hear rattling whistling and grinding from the brakes so I come back to them only for them to tell me nothing is wrong with the car. Then it takes me almost getting into an accident no help from my faulty breaks when I had to service the car elsewhere only to find out they never fixed my brakes to begin with !! Legal action will now be taken. Don t go here. Save yourself the money and time.

I agree with the last review...These guys are a bunch of crooks. I think they may have changed ownership or management as I used to take my car here for inspection. I took my car in yesterday and did not recognize any of the people working there. They took my car in, immediately put it on the lift and said my differential was leaking and that I needed new brake pads and rotors. Well first of all, I just had the brakes done 2 months ago, so I knew he was full of it. Then he showed me where there was some moistness by the axle. Could have been grease etc...But he said that he would not pass me on test based on the above things. Not for nothing, I know a bit about cars, but even if differential was leaking a bit, that is no reason to fail a car for inspection. Moreover, the whole thing with the brakes was a criminal. Does the State of New York ever check on these inspection stations? At the end of the so called "inspection", he told me to get an estimate and bring back to his shop and he would do the job cheaper...What a bunch of scammers. I will never go back here.

Basically straight crooks. I pulled in for an inspection. They put my car up on the lift and five minutes later told me I needed $1200 in repairs before I'd pass inspection. I had them print their estimate up and took it to another station (Auto Care East). My car passed inspection there with NO work.The reputable station couldn't even read the print out - it indicated I needed over $500 in parts. Especially if you're naive avoid this place - they made a big show of bringing me under the car and showing me who knows what - all fake.Bring your car to Anthony Zacharias at Auto Care East a few blocks away instead (243 East 94th).I discovered them the same day - they are honest and l felt I could trust them within the first few minutes and I've never felt that way in Manhattan before - (I usually get my car serviced in Vermont and I live on 90th Street)!

DO NOT GO HERE. As the other two reviews say, THEY ARE CROOKS. Same exact experience here in taking my car in for an inspection. They put it up on the lift and gave me some BS about the entire rack and pinion steering mechanism being shot and leaking and also needing to replace right and left tie rods. About $2,000 worth of work. The same number as the woman reports. I guess that is there go to number. After I said no, it went to $1,500. To add insult to injury, as I was walking out, they gave me a lecture on how they are concerned with my safety. Good grief.Subsequently, I took it to my car dealing and he told me that in his 20+ years he has never had to replace anything like that on this model car. It was fine and they did not recommend any work. Does NYS DMV inspections inspect these shops?

Research the work that is required before committing to letting this business fix your car. They are over priced by triple what you should be paying and Syead (manager/owner) over charges for EVERYTHING. Beware of this place. Never again. I ve learned my lesson. Believe the other reviews when they say these people are crooks. I took my car in for overheating. They charged me 125 to see the problem only if i didnt get the repairs needed done there and told me i needed a new radiator hose and fan sensor and charged me 450 dollars for it! Being that i didnt want to keep driving my car overheated and blowing out the engine after i told them do the work and took it as a loss. I proceeded to get my car after the work was finished n about 5 minutes in my car it overheated again! I had to basically force them to tow my car back to the shop where they told me my head gasket was blown and melted and wanted to charge me 2,700. I took a chance and drove it to my uncle whos a mechanic and in 30 minutes he fixed the problem... Which was a leak and now my car runs good as new. These ppl are crooked to the extreme. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give this place no stars I would! Do not go here they tried to rip me off for $450 They told me my axle was broken and I could not get my car inspected until I fixed it. Took it someplace else and was told my axle was fine and getting the axle fixed is not a required thing that is needed to pass an inspection. The guy is a thief and liar go someplace else!!!

I had my car inspection done here. It was an easy process and I was pleased at the fact that they're open on a Saturday so I didn't have to rush from work on a weekday! Great service!

This is a place that I have been dealing with for years. every time I go, it is always a pleasure. As for Billy when you go. He will go out of his way to take care of you. I do not write reviews but I do give credit where credit is due.

dont take your car here for auto repairs. shop owner tried to rob my girlfriend. said he fixed her axle on her car and never did. all he did was spray paint the axle. hes lucky he gave the money back for axle and for labor. she could have called the police for and had him arrested for robbery

The front desk attendant is very unprofessional and their will charge you even for a blink of an eye.. went to do my vehicle inspection and just for taking my temporary plates off and install the new ones he wanted to charge me $10.00 and to attach my inspection sticker on my windshield an additional $2.00

Skip this place. It's just a waste of time. I came for an emissions test and was told the brakes were bad and he won't do the emissions test until the brakes were fixed. Went somewhere else and the brakes checked out fine and so did emissions.

I've been coming here for years. The staff is friendly and courteous and the mechanics are experienced. They inform you about your car and upcoming maintenance and repairs.
