Why is the pharmacy closed at 5pm on a Sunday? Where do they think they are, like some end of the world small town? The new hours are posted at the front door, very small and easy to miss. The hours on line have not been updated and what kind of business doesn t update this? Why is this place closing so early, so they can save money of the pharmacist pay?

There are very rude and unprofessional staff at this pharmacy. Every time I went to pick up my prescription, they talked to me like I was a drug dealer or something. They told me that I had to come to pick up my medication on a specific day, and when I went to get my prescribed medications, they told me they did not have it. They could have said to me that they could not do my prescribed medication when I went there days before, so I had my doctor send it to a different pharmacy. Still, they choose not to provide information to their clients, and the way the pharmacists respond to their questions is unprofessional and with attitude.Moreover, when you call the pharmacy to have a prescription ready, they keep you on hold for at least one hour

Only come here to pick up medicine at the pharmacy. The young lady at the counter gave slightly annoyed vibes when I tried to sign for my prescription. Not used to having to go through so many steps just to get my medicine. Extremely high prices and long lines after 5PM. I also had to SHOW ID just to purchase a bottle of Tylenol liquid cough medicine.

Came for a vaccine appointment 15 minutes early per their website, checked in, and was told to take a seat and wait to be called. I waited for over an hour (including asking someone at the 30 minute mark and being told I would be called soon), when another staff member asked me why I was waiting. Why did you sign me in if you weren t going to put me in the queue?? When I was finally added to the list, they put me at the end of the queue. About half a dozen people who arrived after me, including someone who was an hour early for their appointment, all got their vaccines while I waited. Another person who arrived after me was being called when I straight up begged for my vaccine as I had been waiting for nearly an hour and a half and needed to go home. The vaccine took 15 seconds. I waited an hour and 20 minutes for a shot that took less than one minute. I feel like there is no good excuse for this.

Because it's the only "store" on this end of our narrow island this branch has a wider grocery component than most chain drug stores. It's busy.

This pharmacy accidentally deleted one of my prescriptions and being that I have experience as a pharmacist and pharmacy assistant and MD, I tried to patiently walk them through where they could check for it knowing for a fact that it had at some point been processed and dispensed (because I had come to the pharmacy to pick it up and had the actual pill bottle in my hands).The pharmacy assistant was flippant and snide, and said do you want to speak to the pharmacist like that was a threat. It took a little navigating but we found that my prescription did in fact exist and that it was cancelled into non-existence instead of being cancelled and placed back on file to be filled another day. Getting that explanation was like pulling teeth, which has me questioning their transparency, but I had to be clear about who was at fault and frankly the amount of time and effort it took to get that answer was disappointing.Not a life or death situation, but poor customer service and unprofessional conduct.

Wherher you fill out the paperwork online or wait to complete physical paperwork, whether there are.three people in line or thirty, and whether you arrive early, on time, or late for your vaccination The wait is over 90 minutes! Go anywhere else but here.

The black women and the Indian women works there are rude af!! They definitely don't like working there and they act like they hate everyone. No smile, not even a natural face. Their faces drop to the floor, their tones are impatient and annoyed. Love the store but hate the women working there!!

The worst experience I ve ever seen, the medicine takes ages to be prepared, the pediatrician sent my daughter antibiotics and when I went after one hour for pick up they asked me to call after another one hour, and now four hours no one picked up the phone.My daughter s pediatrician is closed now and she is sick. And they don t care.And when I went to talk with the nurse she spoke very rude to me and asked me to go to another place to find the prescription in another pharmacy.So if you really care about your health don t even think of this place.

Pharmacy service is painfully slow, and the staff is very unfriendly. The store is always low on stock and is not very clean. Often, aisles are blocked by boxes or racks so you have a hard time moving down. If you can manage to go to another location, I highly recommend doing so.

Very poor staff. I live really close and I use to frequent the store until I was treated so poorly by the staff. I think they need an overhaul of staff even though they change them frequently. They always seem bothered by actually having to work. One cashier refused to return my items after he rang them up incorrectly. When asked why he said he didn't have to and proceeded to argue with me while changing his register to serve other customers. I get a nasty feeling every time I go in there or even pass it now. I only go to get my medicine in there now.

Like any other Duane Reade, fortunately for me I went on a day when the place was pretty empty. Got my items, paid immediately, and left.

My local convenience store, absolutely love it! The hours are great (except Sunday early closing is always a surprise) and as long as you buy everything on sale, always get awesome deals :) the staff are all nice and polite, the shelves are usually stocked well, and the pharmacy section has everything you would need. It's even dog friendly! My only issues are: stop giving the homeless people reason to hang out outside your entrance, and bring back the big, durable bags instead of cheap plastic! Otherwise perfect.

Zero star.Service slow and inefficient. Pharmacist incompetent, it takes forever to prepare the pick up. Every time there is a problem. Wasting timeMilk is already Sold out

They want people to stand apart, but the cashier encouraged a dog, that had already been licking the candy under the counter, to put its legs and head on the counter so she could pat it. She didn't even wash her hands afterwards. I made an online complaint, but the only message I received back was that, yes, they allow dogs in the store. I now avoid this store, & if I do go in, I make sure I don't buy anything that's close to the floor. Hygiene is important, now more than ever, and I don't want to shop somewhere where they don't understand this.

On August 8th, I had a very negative experience with one of your cashiers, located at the Roosevelt Island store. I attempted to return a box of Atkins Roll Nut bars. Unfortunately, these bars were stale. Upon receiving the return, she shouted "YOU OPENED THE BOX!" This was not a question, but a statement to illicit shame and embarrassment. When I questioned her actions, she became very agitated and rude. Please note that I had to speak with the manager, Eddie, to resolve this matter. (He was very attentive and apologized for her rude behavior.) However, the cashier became even more hostile and nasty. Please note that all she had to do was accept the return and provide the refund. I provided her with the reason for the refund, along with a receipt. No other commentary was necessary. I have been a customer for many years and don't understand why this employee was not trained to provide the best in customer service? I have provided the cashier's name to corporate as she must be re-trained in the virtues of providing the utmost in customer service.

They are don't have coupon books anymore customers now must download their app to get digital coupon in order to purchase sale items. This isn't fair in so many ways. If customers come in let them purchase sale items, that's why they come in. WG very expensive. I only shop there if its a sale otherwise forget it! WG fix this please!!

Very rude, inefficient staff. They pick and choose what policies they implant and on who. Very discriminatory practice. Even something very simple as picking up a package is very complicated for no apparent reason.

I hate this Duane Reade. The manager likes to assert authority- she wouldn t sell me Advil Cold and Sinus with an expired drivers license and was obviously pleased with herself. I can t stand people like that. I was obviously suffering from a terrible cold and other pharmacies have sold it with an expired license.They never have enough people on staff during rush hour when they get the highest volume of customers. The cashiers they do have are incredibally slow, although I have to say they are kind. Not like the manager.

Customer service is practically non existent. Limited options, plenty of stuff is usually out of stock. Understaffed. Too bad is the only choice close to the tram.

Went here for a vaccine shot. Service was mediocre, and staff were rude and inefficient. One of the worst experiences I ever had with a pharmacy.

I like this store but they've been out of a lot of products since the Great Shutdown and COVID-19 pandemic.. Luckily l was able to buy vitamins because Vitamin Shoppe & GNC are close.

For some reason this store is always out of milk and never carries diet soda. Frequently out of cleaning products. Usually long lines. In other words, not very convenient
