I was experiencing vibrations at high speeds while driving my car. It was a painful experience that affected my driving and confidence behind the wheel. Derek who worked on my wheels was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He understood the problem and offered a solution that not only fixed it but exceeded my expectations. His attention to detail and precision in his work is insurmountable. I stayed in the garage and watched him. All I can say is that I was witnessing a master at work. And I would highly recommend his services to anyone experiencing wheel issues of any kind. He is highly skilled and knows how to get the job done right. I'm very happy with the results and will continue to go to him for all my wheel repair needs. Thank you for eliminating the vibrations and reviving my confidence in driving at high speeds! I have never received such a high level of service at a repair shop of any kind before. He was kind, professional, extremely knowledgeable and super patient. He took time to explain and even show me the problem in person, laid out all the options and pricing, and answered any questions I had. This NEVER happens at repair shops!And when the repair was completed, he even sent an email detailing all that was done. I mean come on! Where else do you get that kind of service?! Absolutely amazing. Honestly 5 stars isn t enough.Not to mention, I was and have been floored by the difference in the ride since then. I honestly had no idea the difference it would make. I was actually at the point where I was getting ready to sell or trade in the car because I figured that the ride was just naturally that rough. Now it feels amazing!!!!I can t thank you enough! And I will not go anywhere else for tire/rim service.

Bent two wheels because of a huge rock while driving on the highway (glad I didn t blow out a tire). One shop told me to just buy pre-owned wheels online. But I considered just getting them fixed since it will be cheaper. The Wheel Doctor is a phenomenal place to get your broken wheel fixed. The reviews speak for themselves. Quality work for a fair price. Derrick was very thorough with explaining everything and he takes pride in his work. This shop is a hidden gem where someone takes care of your car like it was their own. So if you re looking around for a shop, please consider going here first and talking to him. It ll be worth your while.

I don t even know if I could put my experience with Derek into words. I am very skeptical about shops ,,especially tires and wheels. I ve been to my dealer twice in past two weeks. Had 2 new tires replaced , and left with a vibration. Lovely, went back to dealer and now they say I have a bent wheel, which was not told to me on my previous visit, and I asked. Brought it back, nothing resolved. Was told to come back and they will take care of it. Did a little research and found Derek. Man, let me tell you. I have never experienced anyone like him. He explains EVERYTHING, he does, and answers any and all questions. Long story short, I left his shop, did over 100 on way home. Car never rode so nice. I HIGHLY recommend his shop. Yes, he s a bit more , but well worth every cent. Derek, you have found a new customer for life. Thank you!!Service: Tires

Working with Derrick the Wheel Doctor was unlike any experience I have had working directly with a new shop. From start to finish, you have full confidence that you are working with a true expert. Regardless if my issue was fixed or not, I was compelled to leave him the review he deserves. There aren't many "Derricks" left in this world and it's important to let the everyone know how awesome he is!I arrived 15 mins early for my appointment which I made a few weeks ago. I drove from New Jersey because I had struck out with my local installers. He was ready to go. While you are in the shop, you are his priority and have his full attention. I have a curious mind and asked questions along every step of the process. He was happy to explain it to me verbally, but also showed me how that applied to what we were seeing on the machine as well. I explained thoroughly my history with 3, yes THREE, previous shops that could not sort out my vibration issue. I expressed I wanted to have 4 wheels checked out, and He explained to me his pricing before we got started. His pricing is going to higher than you are used to paying. Do not let that make you think twice. I agreed to his pricing and he moved right along. He explained the process takes about 2 hours for the 4 wheels. My last tire shop I was in and out in 30 mins for "balancing" - guess what? It was unacceptable as my whole vehicle was shaking at highway speeds.After watching the whole process go down, I know understand way more about road force balancing. I understand why Derrick needs to charge the prices he does. The whole thing is very methodical. Thats why you get the proper results. He takes extra care when dealing with the wheels and tires. Everything he does is taken with that extra level of care. Yes you have to make an appointment, yes you will pay extra, but this is a set it and forget it tire installer option. I have wasted so much time with the 3 previous installers I was left embarrassed and frustrated. I was literally ready to sell these expensive wheels!Derrick, thank you again sir. Few months ago, I ran over something at night on the bronx river(no clue what it was) and had both my right side rims and 1 tire damaged. After much research i gave the Wheel Doctor a call and spoke to him about my issue, after which we made an appointment to come in. I went to his shop and worked on my laptop while he went to work on my tires. A bit after he was working on my rims, he noticed some cracks. He eventually told me that it didnt make sense for him to fix(which he was very up front about during our initial call) them as he noticed one had a crack and figured the other would too, although not visible and the problem may persist again in the future which was dangerous. He didnt charge me for labor, but i left feeling like he truly cared for my well being and i appreciated how straight up and honest he was. He ended up mounting the wheels back and even replaced the tire with a bubble. I highly recommend him and while no cheap, he will charge you appropriately for his time.

Derrick is a beast! You get what you pay for, and in all honesty, he's the best in Yonkers. Very thorough, while tediously handling the tires and wheels like he purchased it for his own car. Go support the one-man show along with his wife Natasha. Awesome people.I will be back for more work for sure!

Took my Tesla Performance Model Y to the wheel doctor to get the rim fixed. The owner Derrick was very knowledgeable, Professional and prompt. Would recommend his services and would use again as needed.

The Wheel Doctor is quite a unique experience. Just like a doctor's appointment (and you will need an appointment), you are one-on-one with the doctor. There is only one lift. He really knows his stuff and was able to correct the tire balancing I had gotten elsewhere a couple weeks prior. Road force balancing really does make a difference. My ride is as smooth as silk. It is more $ than a regular balance but you can't argue with results.

Wheel doctor is extremely amazing. At some point, I was experiencing bumpy rides and got recommended to him by a friend. I was sceptical at first but I trusted my friend and went ahead to him. He took a couple of hours to get the job done but he absolutely nailed it. Almost 3 months after his work and my car now drives smoothly. Great work wheel doctor. Keep up the good work boss

If you want good/ honest work on your wheels/tires, this is the place to go!Derrick walked me through his full inspection process and was transparent about why I had a slow leak and what needs to be to fix it. He also provided an example of what would happen if I used other methods of repair.His road force assistance machine is incredible and provides superior ride quality.The end result was a customer so satisfied, I referred the wheel doctor to my friends and you. Fantastic and friendly service, definitely above and beyond! Had a chance to discuss all things related to automotive and chalk full of knowledge and experience. I had 35 series tires mounted on 20 inch wheels and it took longer than I was use to, but that's because it's the first time my tires were properly mounted. Will not go anywhere else.

I've used Derek a few times over the years and he's the best. I trust him completely with my wheels. He's extremely knowledgeable.... and even more important, he's honest. He found ways to save me money when he could have easily "ripped me off" like so many other shops try to do.I've had low profile rims on my last two cars, and with all the pot holes, it's been a relief knowing I can count on him if I have an issues.He fixes the problems and gets the cars rolling better than ever.

I have a tesla 3 that always had a slight vibration from day 1. Not bad but was always there even after future services. Alignments tire replacement and always the same response everything is in spec it s just how an EV is then one day I hit a big pothole on the FDR and immediately the vibration felt like riding a motorcycle. Any case I figured my rim was bent on how bad it was and researched rim services. I can across the wheel doctor and read reviews. Read many happy positive tesla owner reviews and decided to give them a shot. It was one of my better life decisions. Explained every issue I had with my rims (charts etc) and what needed to be corrected. Repaired my rims in 4 hours and I m serious when I say it was the smoothest ride home. Zero vibration. The car drives even smoother than when I first picked it up from the dealer. I highly recommend the shop.Service: Tires

I have a infiniti q60 that had a vibration issue between 55-80. Have taken car to multiple shops to rebalance and fix the issue but I would still have the same problem in the end. I ended up finding out about the wheel doctor shop in Yonkers thru a quick search on google and took my last final attempt at trying to get the problem fixed. Derrick the owner of wheel doctor had my car good to go. No more vibrations. He found a slightly bent rim and all four brand new tires were very off in terms of balance in which he corrected and explained the process to me while doing so. Definitely will come back to him for anything having to deal with rims/tires in the future.Service: Tires

While at the Audi dealer to replace a blown out tire, the service manager advises me one of my rims is bent and recommends replacement- I smirk and reply no need, I got a guy . Made an appointment with Derek to bring in the car and learned not 1 but 3 rims were bent. A few hours later, I m back on the road and the car riding smoother than it was brand new. Derek is an artist!Highest of recommendations given.

Awesome experience. Service felt exclusive and not generic. Derek is a professional who earns your respect through is very detailed-oriented approach to his mastery. I felt less of a bystander/customer and more like a student learning a new craft.Everything is explained to you. The source of the problem, the reason for the problem and all that needs to be done to fix the problem.Had my tires change recently and had been having wheel issues ever since. I was able to see that the balancing was horribly done and my two front rims where bent in various places.Thanks to Derek all these issues are now resolved and my car drives and feels so smoothly. Definately worth the price!

Truly exceptional service, craftsmanship and honesty. I brought my car to Derrick after trying my luck with BMW service and mavis...He diagnosed my problem on the spot, explained to me what he would do to address it, cheaper options I may have available elsewhere if I chose to go that route. He did an exceptional job and can t be happier. Not many business owners like Derrick are around anymore.

I had four wheels with varying degrees of damage on my Volvo causing severe vibrations at highway speeds. Called the Wheel Doctor and was immediately impressed by Derrick and his willingness to spend time on the phone describing his process. I dropped my car off two days later, Derrick knew who I was, greeted me, went over his plans, pricing, etc... Several hours later I picked up my car and he meticulously went over the details of what he did, the condition of each wheel and tire and what he did to resolve. The price was fair, considering what new replacement wheels cost. The car drove exceptionally well, like the day I picked it up from the dealer. Every aspect of the experience was top-notch and worthwhile.

Derek is phenomenal. I ve brought two cars to him now several years apart (NY roads have caused multiple of my wheels to bend) and the car drove 10x better than brand new after he was done. He is very professional (an absolute master at what he does), quick, and reasonable. He clearly explained how to see what was wrong and then solved it. 10/10 would recommend to anyone I know who has any issues with their wheels and tires.

Do not recomend this place wanted to charge me 350 to weld a cracked rim that wasn t even bent had inch crack said would take 3.5 hours and couldn t get a new rim for that price like he basing his price on a new rim . Rip offs shop around . Shop looked very slow like nothing going on. Place sucks

Been to wheel doctor for 7 years now for all my wheel / tire needs. I will be upfront, it is not going to be the cheapest shop you will find but if you want the best care and services this is the place to go. Derek is a car enthusiast himself and he has genuine passion in his craft and always put his customers interest first. To plug a tire i will go to some random cheapo place but if I need new tires mounted or straightening some bent rims this is where I go.

Very professional and very transparent. Made an appointment for a wheel repair, and Derek thoroughly checked all four wheels and tires for defects. Found all of the spots where the wheels were bent and straightened them out, and properly balanced them as well. My car rides perfectly smooth compared to before. He might be pricier than other shops but I believe you get what you pay for, and you can't substitute knowledge and passion for your craft.

Took my truck to a couple of shops to get my wheels balanced with no luck. Finally found this shop and Derrick fixed the vibration I was getting when riding 60+ mph. Derrick is true professional with extensive knowledge and experience. I recommend this shop 100%

Had a great experience with Derrick mounting and balancing my wheels and tires. Incredibly detail focused, prompt, responsive and a super nice guy. Unlike every other tire shop you go to your wheels and tires are not going to get the meticulous attention to detail The Wheel Doctor will provides. In all my years of getting tires mounted and balanced no one has ever removed the residue from the old weights nor scrubbed the crud from the edge of the wheels. His procedure is very exacting and the proof is in the ride quality after you drive away completely satisfied. I felt the difference immediately, the suspension didn't feel jumpy but it was well planted and smooth rolling, I can feel it in the steering wheel since it no longer has a subtle vibration. You get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it, it's quality you can feel at the steering wheel.

Got tires and had a local shop mount and balance. The shop was reluctant to install the TPM sensors. The Wheel Doctor was a recommended shop to have the issue resolved. Met with Derrick, very professional. He explained the process and informed me of any potential additional charges. Told me he would need about 2 hours to complete and sure enough he kept to his word. Good to know there are shops like his. I will recommend his business.

After years of using Google reviews, this is the first company that has compelled me to write a review. I would write a much more lengthy review if google didn't have a character limit!The road force machine Derek uses at his shop, WOW!!! My car is a completely different car!!! It's like I'm driving on air!!! It was worth every penny!!! The amazing customer service and attention to detail is just icing on the cake. The proof is in the pudding is what they say! All the reviews on this shop are legit. I hope Derek, Natasha, and The Wheel Doctor stays open for a very long time. This is the place I'll go to to get any sort of balancing/mounting from here on and out and would highly recommend them to anyone who requires such service in the NY area.The automotive industry is filled with a lot of sleaze balls. The Wheel Doctor is one of those rare gems that is run by wonderful people who want to make an honest dollar and are willing to go the extra mile to educate customers and then ultimately get the job done right!

I was a lost soul in the world of custom wheels. I tried the neighborhood tire shop, which damaged the wheel and the tire. I searched for the shop that had the knowledge, and found the wheel doctor. The reviews and the ratings demonstrated how others LOVE his work. I brought my sad wheel show to him, and he showed me the light!! This man was professional, honest and went the extra mile. in a word, amazing. You can try the rest, but if you want the best service for anything wheel related, The wheel doctor is THE place to go.
