Had four tires replaced at Hughes Motors last week.Very competent staff, Courteous, friendly and know what they are doing.Highly recommend this place for all your auto needs.

My husband and I had major car trouble driving home from his treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering today. Car died on Major Deegan under GW, great towing service from Autorama. They towed us to Hughes. Everyone was helpful, polite and although it took a while (not their fault, they seem to be ceazy busy), they took the time to fix our car. Thank you to the entire staff.

After difficult experiences with car repairs in upper Manhattan, I was looking for a trustworthy auto mechanic and turned to the internet. Based the reviews I chose Hughes Motor Corp. That was 7 years ago, and I have never been disappointed. Kevin and his staff are top notch. It has been a huge relief for me to have Kevin and his staff to turn to whenever my car needs care. Highly recommended.

I was in a dire unsafe situation while driving my shaking car on Cross. I quickly did a search for nearest mechanic and Hughes ranked highest so drove car slowly (w hazards on) to Hughes. Mickey (mechanic) drove car around the block and said it wasn't good but he'll look at it in the morning and call with a diagnosis (it was Friday at 530p; they close at 6p). Sure, enough, Dee called Sat morning and said my lugs were rotted and one broke causing a loose wheel. Not only were they pleasant from start to finish, they were so honest! Moving forward, they will be my go-to for any mechanical issues. I highly recommend them.

I came here on account of their excellent Google rating. I concur with the many great testimonials as I am extremely satisfied with their highly competent administrative and technical staff. I have not been to my Honda dealership for some time now because I can trust them with my 2017 Honda Accord. Hughes Motors is very responsive and customer oriented! I have made two emergency calls to them for service and they have not disappointed me. I highly recommend this garage!

I recently took my car to this mechanic shop for an inspection, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. They were prompt, professional, and efficient. Excellent Service Always !!!Our 1989 Firebird needed a fuel pump and fuel tank.Kevin took the best care of our Firebird and repaired it perfectly.Our experiences are always positive.All of the staff and technicians are very pleasant to work with.We are very happy with the service at Hughes Motors Corp.

I started taking my car to Hughes last year due to their great reviews, and I haven't been disappointed. The front staff and the mechanics are friendly and take the time explaining things. My impression is that they were very honest. At inspection time they've pointed out things I should be aware of, but they never push it and try to get extra work. As someone who doesn't know about cars (and is a female), I always am a bit skeptic, not wanting to get taken advantage of. Initially when they recommended a repair, I called my dad who is well-versed in this area (he used to do all maintenance and repairs, big and small, on our cars). He concurred with their evaluation. Knowing I was conscious of price, they quoted me for 1) this is serious and should be addressed ASAP, as well as 2) this is something that would be good to deal with, but isn't imperative so keep an eye on it. I'd 100% recommend them to anyone who's worried about being hoodwinked -- you'll be in good hands.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance, Oil change

My Rav4 had serious trouble with the rack and pinion. Hughes fixed the problem and also gave a great wheel alignment. My second time here and the first with a major issue. The staff is courteous, straight forward and professional. Many thanks to all who were involved. Kevin and his team treated me like family. They always are truthful and will tell you how it is. When needed work done I went and his team fixed multiple cars of my family's. Still to this day I recommend his shop to people who ask. I haven't seen respect and kindness from other shops and miss how these people have their work mindset. Miss you guys

I've been coming to Hughes Motors Auto Repair for the past six years. I came looking for a good mechanic and found the best in the business. It has been the best auto repair shop I've ever been too, and it will likely be the best I'll ever get to experience. The owner, the staff and everyone in between is professional, considerate and courteous. The quality of their service is unmatched and affordable. They're attentive, thorough and honest. Kevin operates his business with integrity. I highly recommend his services. He is the gold standard in the industry. They took my vehicle in without hesitation when we had engine issues trying to head home on a long trip, also after the fact the Ford Dealership literally a mile down the road turned us away and said it would be 5 months waiting time. This facility has the nicest, most knowledgeable workers and I highly recommend them for their work and customer service. I would rate them higher than 5 stars if I could do so. Thank you so much for helping myself and my family get home.

Great experience. Christina at the front desk was very nice and efficient. The mechanic that took my car for a ride and fixed the breaks was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. Highly recommend Hugh s. I recently moved to the area and needed to have an inspection done. In the past it always felt like a burden with other repair shops to have my vehicle inspected. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Called at 8:30am on a Monday morning and inspection was done by 9:30am. They were friendly, offered coffee, and were efficient. Top quality service. I have gone to Hughes for years and am 100% satisfied. Easy to schedule appointments, excellent work, they really listen and appreciate your patronage. They discuss recommendations and options like you re an intelligent adult. I have a high performance car with some mods and I am very particular about how it is treated. I first went when my previous car had an issue and the dealer service told me it was fine and didn t hear the noise. The mechanic from Hughes went with me on a test drive and diagnosed it quickly as a broken strut. Their prices are reasonable and I trust them - why go anywhere else? They have been a dependable and safe place to get repairs done during Covid19.

Hughes Motors Auto Repair was a lifesaver. Driving home to MD from CT, our car had two indicator lights go on. We limped to one auto shop who didn't look at the vehicle at all and told us it would be at least a full day before they could. We then really limped to Hughes and were stunned by the difference. Kind, courteous staff (even offering a free snack to our young son while we waited). The problem was diagnosed and fixed promptly and at a reasonable price. Kevin even gave us his cell phone number to call in case we had additional problems. Then, he called me to follow up the next day. I can't recommend this place enough and if I lived in the vicinity, I would only go to Hughes Motors Auto Repair. Truly good people and a great business.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I called about noon and asked to be seen for an inspection. I spoke with Eric who accommodated my request for same day service. I was informed my inspection could take up to an hour. Upon arrival everyone was polite and I was seen right away (even though) you could see they were working on other cars as well. The waiting area was clean, well ventilated, and empty. I was provided a complementary bottle of cold water. My car was done in 10 minutes and the price was much lower than I imagined. Excellent service. I am definitely going back.

Kevin and his staff are absolutely amazing! They are friendly, do great work across the board and most importantly... They're honest! It's so hard to find an honest car repair shop that does great work. These guys and gals are the best! I have recommended then to other people and will continue to bring my car here for repairs. Best Yonkers local Mechanic around. Kevin is a true gentleman honest integrity straightforward. Doesn t look to screw his customers. Caught a flat tire and a disabled Axle on a Sunday. Called Hughes Motors Auto Repair and Kevin picked up and advised to drop off vehicle at his shop and would jump on it first thing on Monday. Utmost respect for Kevin and his mechanic staff. Thank you for keeping it real.

I have taken my cars here since 2006. My neighbor, who s family had gone there for years, recommended them and Kevin and his team have never let me down.I think I have had just about every service available done on my car. There is always great communication and fair prices. They will never try to sell you something you don t need.I had an oil change at another place once and I was told the car was not safe to drive and can t be repaired (Hyundai on Central Ave). I took it straight to Hughes Motors and they took care of it. I have also just showed up there in a panic and everyone there was extremely helpful. I recommend Hughes Motors to anyone who mentions they have an issue with their car and will continue to do so.I also want to mention that during the pandemic the Hughes Motors Corp team reached out to its customers and said if we needed anything they could help.They are a great local business you can really trust.Services: Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

I have been coming here to get work done on my car for over 5 years now and have always found the service to be excellent. All of the staff are always helpful and professional. They are always very upfront and thorough with explaining all of the tests and work being done on your car. They fixed the problem that no one else could fix. Took my car to dealer, they over charged me for basically experimenting on my car. 3 other shops as well, and they were lost. Hughes repaired my vehicle, and I was treated with courtesy, and professionalism. Very positive experience, I highly recommend Hughes motors.

If you want an HONEST, amazing mechanic - look no further. I've come in with things I thought were major problems, and after looking at my car they told me straight up that it's a $10 fix, and one or two cases a $0 dollar fix! I recommended them to my spouse and he had the same experience. While waiting for an inspection, I talked to another waiting customer who told me she literally drives an hour to Hughes for car work because they are more reputable and have better service and prices than mechanics in her area - I can believe it! Very grateful to have found a local mechanic I can really trust!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been going to Hughes Motors for years and trust Kevin and his team. The same mechanics and team have been working there for as long as I have been going indicative of a good environment. My car is a Honda 2002 and I want to have it for as long as I can. Kevin understands my intentions and does everything that he can in an honest way. He even let me borrow his own car while my car was in the shop - you can t beat that type of customer service. Highly recommend!Services: Engine repair, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Oil change
