I went to these folks based on a recommendation from my mechanic I've used for over 15 years. John quoted me a fair price on a rebuild. When I brought the vehicle in, John hooked it to his computer and informed me my issue was not with the transmission but another area . I appreciate his honesty and transparency. If I do end up in the future needing work, I can count on John and citywide transmission being the shop for me .

Not knowing much or really anything at all about transmissions, I gave these guys a shot to rebuild my 2013 rav4. What sold me was two things: I knew they'd been around for a long time and that they guaranteed their work for 2 years. Most places, I spoke to said only 3 months so the 2 years spoke volumes to me. This is the 1st major problem I had w my car and figured it to be the lower cost route than replacing it. I'm hoping to never have to come back, which would be a great thing so we'll see in time.

After several weeks of having problems selecting gears, I went out today to find the cause of the problem. I made appointments at an chain transmission location and the dealer's service center but they couldn't take the car until later in the week. I called Citywide and they said to bring it down whenever I could. They inspected the car and told me the issue was a corroded shift cable. After less than hour and a bill that was a fraction of what I expected to pay, I had my car back and it shifted like new. The service was fast, thorough, and affordable. They saved me frustration and lots of money. I highly recommend dealing with them.

I came in because I had a check engine light for my transmission and John told me I needed to replace the transmission without even looking at the car and he wants $3,000 To rebuild it when another transmission shop wanted $1600
