I bought a set of floor-mat for my car on April 15 for $19.99+tax and brought it back to the store on April 17 for return. It was intact, box/pack was not open at all. I lost the receipt, but I had the credit card with me that I have used for the purchase. I have logged in to my credit card account and showed the associate the total charges.The person (and elderly person) who was helping me was very non-cooperative and rude. He could not issue a refund, but he said he can issue a store credit, I was okay with it. Then he said he was not able to issue the credit and I have to buy something to adjust. Whereas I paid $19.99+tax for the good, he allow me to buy only $16.99+tax worth of goods. The product was still hanging on their shelf for $19.99 and I have shown him the transaction on my credit card.It was a bitter experience, the store associate was rude. If you are looking for a better customer service, helpful staff, professional service, this is not the place to go. I will never go there again.

Very rude and disrespectful I was never greated when I came in I waiting 20 min for help when I said something they engorged me like I was not there. After I said something to them and started recording now they want to help and I have to go in the back when they could have just said that from the beginning. After servicing a walk in customer before me never even asked me if I needed help I do not recommend going here if you are a woman and don t be a black woman they will not even service you.

Please don t go this store they are looking your face and talk to you, if you ask question forget about, it s terrible customer service and they told you cheap price of tire after that they add everything without asking you, they make your bills $12-$1500 , terrible, terrible terrible

The best auto parts store if you have a humiliation fetish.When I picked up the OBD2 scanner I purchased online, the employee looked me straight in the eye and said, Just so you know, we don t take returns on electronics. You ll have to go through the manufacturer s warranty if anything goes wrong. When I got home, I opened the box to find the display covered in scuff marks, and when I powered it on, nothing but a white screen riddled with scan lines.While traveling to Maryland, I stopped by another Advance Auto and told them what happened, then asked if I could exchange the tool for a new one. They happily obliged and even switched the same batteries over from the defective unit. Works like a charm, no thanks to this location in Queens.Take your money elsewhere.

If you are an elderly person, STAY AWAY!You WILL certainly be taken advantage of if you don't know what you are doing.My father made a recent visit to this place and was told that for a particular service, he would be receiving $147 refunded back to him. My dad went through with all the protocols and they assured him he would be refunded.My dad is 74 years old and he asked again and again for his promised refund, several times, and he was finally told that he would not be receiving it.This is what they do to the elderly, they pretend and re-assure you that you'll receive your refund, but when the day comes, they find an excuse to keep your money cause they never intended to give it back. Beware of these gimmicks!I suggest you stay away if you want to 'keep' your hard earned income, cause they will certainly give you a run-about. In addition, if you value your elderly, don't send them to this place 'alone'; they will be taken advantage of!

Except for my own Bengali brother (who was ok) all the staff were very helpful and genuine. Not just interested in making unnecessary sales nor were they lazy or impatient.Knew better than the mechanic what was needed

Today at 12:00pm On 09/19/2022 l had an appointment made for my vehicle at Pep boys,remind you it wasn't no walk-in, it was scheduled way out of an advance to be treated as a last minute solution for them to have oil change inspection sticker replace and a diagnostic check for squeaky noise on my vehicle. I had call numerous times to see if my vehicle was done. On the second call one of the maintenance told me the car would be done by 430 pm . I call again before the store closed and the car was not even complete at all. Nothing was done to the vehicle. I spoke to the manager and told me that to leave the car for tomorrow. Which I did not request for that, because I work with the vehicle. I requested the manager what was his proposition and gave me a vague answer. I came in person and had them conduct the oil change because they said they couldn't do the diagnostic and inspection on my vehicle, I am disappointed by the auto shop especially as a military veteran and a first time customer for Pep boys. I want a better proposition for this disappointment. Leaving my car for 6 hours so that nothing was done to the vehicle. I lost a whole entire day of jobs work.

I stopped by to purchase some parts. First of all there was only 1 person attending consumers at the register. I waited very long to be attended. The part I was looking for wasn t on the shelve. When I asked if she could look up the item to see if it could be ordered or was available at a different store. The cashiers response was I m not going to waste my time I asked to speak to a manager and immediately she responded she was the assistant manager! What horrible costumer service. This is no way to talk to costumers. Will not be returning. Learn to provide good costumer service!

The Indian guy have attitude and rude to customer. I went there to buy jump starter for vehicle and they don t have the one I was looking for and the one they have hasn t that much information on the label so I asked the Indian guy in register if that product will fit my vehicle and he said it will definitely fit my car so I bought it and saw on receipt he stamped NON RETURNABLE, I asked him why can t I return it then he said it was on sale and they don t do return on sale item but there wasn t any sale label on it. He said the product gonna work on my car so I don t have to return it so I just bought it went home and when I tried on my car it doesn t fit so I went back to store told the guy and he said it can t return and keep ignoring me. It s waste of money, don t bother to shop here. Auto zone is way better, they have knowledgeable and nice customer service, they do return or exchange and they have stocked up.

Have mixed experience, most of them negative. There is a old man that works there and he has a terrible attitude, everyone in general seems to be depressed. But there are occasions when its completely dead and they will ring you up quickly. ( edit, 4/4/2021 looks like they hired a new guy, looks like in his 50s or 60s his name is Pal, really nice guy when I went to get some micro fiber towels, he actually had his mask on and was ringing people up while others were standing around on their phone )

The worst experience when going to buy, you ask for help and they ignore you, they treat you badly. I was going to pay with a 20 bill and they checked it so much that I said I'll pay with my card, very bad attention, lousy service

Worst customer service I ve ever received in my entire life. I contacted them to ensure that they had my side view mirror in stock and they told me they did have two different versions of my mirror available. I drove 20 minutes without a side view mirror to have them tell me that it was not available. When I expressed some frustration one of the workers was extremely rude to me and dismissed me. He tried to tell me how many years he had worked there, which did nothing to address concern that I had to get back on road without side mirror. He dismissed me to section of the store where they sold replacement mirrors, yet offered zero assistance and gave no customer service whatsoever so I walked out of the store. I tried to give the store another chance given that my part was needed and did not feel comfortable driving much without it. Went back they ordered the wrong one despite showing pictures and giving exact information on my car. Went back in and ordered another one which I had to wait for a week to come in, wrong piece again. When I called back got the same guy that was completely rude to me and rather than hear my concerns he was telling me how it wasn t his fault (never said it was) and I wasn t the one he spoke with. When in the history of customer service do you argue with your customers. When I had audacity to tell him how rude his service was and how dare he speak to customers that way he hung up on me. Went back to try to get correct mirror AGAIN and they tried to tell me I would have to wait a whole other week and some change. What company does not expedite a part knowing their customer has had this type of experience???? This is the worse customer service I ve had in the history of my 30 years and not only will I never be back to this store again, I will be contacting corporate to inform them of how their workers placed my safety in jeopardy by giving incorrect information and not having correct part multiple times.

Stocks are limited. so they have to order parts and tell you it will be ready to pick up on xxx time. No. it never arrive on time, sometimes it comes the next day. When you waited long time in line and they tell you oh its not coming in today it comes very hassle. Making plp come the store back and forth to findout you cant get it. I should of ordered it from amazon cause they faster than the store. 3 Stars only because they do have some tools and cleaning supplies but bad on parts

I first called to find out if they had the battery for my vehicle. The man who answered was very rude when I asked him the price. When I went to the location to pick up the battery the store was empty. An older man was in the back. He saw me standing on line but made no effort to help me. I waited 3 minutes before he came to the counter with an attitude. I have read several reviews about this miserable old man. Please address this person and fix his nasty attitude. There are many other auto stores. You are loosing business because of this person!!!

This auto parts store- which is next to another auto parts store, would seem to have every reason to have a highly competitive price. They were friendly, masked & the place seemed pretty well run. Hey- you can always walk next door to check prices,so if you need something? May as well check there

The guys that worked here the night i went was outstanding. One of them was so incredibly knowledgeable about cars. My antifreeze kept leaking and I scurried there as my car overheated. I called and they waited for me. Then one of them came out to help me and was able to pinpoint where the leak was and what was causing it. He was phenomenal. One day I need to go back there and give him a gift. I didn't know a single thing about where the anti freeze was supposed to go. I owe him so much. I got home safely that night! Awesome shop with amazing people!

Very bad service. Went for a battery change, asked the Asian kid if there s anyone who can check the battery life , the man replied - nope. Then I asked if I buy the battery can someone check and change then he said ya of course ( even though there s a big sign in the store free battery check, free battery change etc etc ). The long haired indian/Guyanese sales person, who claims to be the store manager, very rude and offensive towards customers. He thinks he knows too much and offensively replying to all the customers. Very bad manners. I wouldn t recommend this store to anybody. Stay away and save your energy .

I actually gave 4stars review for the parts that i got and for the online customer service .Parts are good and i m satisfied.Thebad thing that i had was the bad attitude from the staff,most of them were not helpful and i got charged extra on my credit card by mistake while i placed an order online.I asked the manager to help me and she answers saying: i have no time for this, you need to call the customer service, lolI did call the costumer service and they helped me.(Just be carful when you place an order, make sure you get the receipt and you are charged for the right amount, if you also cancel any order you have to ask for a proof of cancellation. )

I have gone to this Advanced Auto Parts multiple times before, but never had asked for assistance or taken advantage of their installation services. I had a battery suddenly die on me and instead of going to the dealership I decided to take a shot with Advanced. I ordered the battery online and when I got to the store he took all my information and brought me the battery. Though never once did he ask or mention about installation or his soon lack of. So when we wrapped up I had commented about the installation. His response was it was too late. Though when you read the post from the website no where does it say that there is a cutoff time. I told him to not offer services they can not do and he then stated I come tomorrow. Keep in mind my battery was completely dead, I had to jump start it to get to the store. He also refers to himself as "Fred" as I asked for his name. But on the receipt it is Fereydoon. He was also extremely disrespectful to a customer ahead of me who was asking about window washer fluid and about the rebate he could do. Fred simply told the customer "everything is on the receipt" how one does the rebate. He is rude and in my honest opinion should not be in retail (especially do it yourself) if that is the way he treats customers.

Excellent experience. There were 2 young gentlemen behind the counter that went above and beyond to find me a car battery that would fit my import. They had to think outside the box and it worked out Excellent. Thanks

Michael was very accommodating on my return/exchange transaction. But the Indian guy was very rude and Bossy. All I was asking was the time of delivery, but he told me to get my phone and check on autozone at northern blvd if the item is available. So he refered me to a rival company. As I was reasoning to him that my phone is not with me that i left it in the car, he told me sarcastically that yeah its really far, like in florida . Bottomline is, all i wanted to find out was the time my order will be delivered, but why he has to complicate things up? Maybe my wife is using my phone on an overseas call or maybe my daughter is playing on it. It does not matter! I just want the time it will be delivered, thats all. But I appreciate his sarcasm of telling me that he just wanted for my family s safety especially that a storm is coming. (IDK he is also a weatherman). Point of the matter is that, he just wanted to boss around people and wanted to do things his way. He cant be talking that way if he is in customer service/sales. I ended up refunding my item instead of exchanging it. 5 star for Michael and Thumbs down for the Rude guy.

Yeah. Another one of them places where the main salesperson just doesn't want to work here anymore. Almost walked out satisfied, but the [I do not wish to do this, I have to] attitude slipped out. No thank you. Buy parts in 'advance,' walk in, pick 'em up, pay, leave. The people clearly don't drive cars at this place. They don't know.

Ordered online 40 mins before I got there.When I arrived order was not ready, told me to wait few mins.(It wasn t a big order just a gallon of coolant & air filter)I stood there waiting for 15 mins. I see 3 people standing at the register but nobody wanted to go get me a gallon of coolant and an air filter which I ordered 45 mins ago for online pick up.I couldn t wait any longer so I found coolant myself (which was 5 steps away from the counter) brought it to the guy who told to wait.Told him I will just take this coolant I cannot wait for your guys to get my order it s taking way too long. He turns around , went to the back without saying anything . Now I waiting again... wasn t sure if he went to get my order or he just ignored me and went out to take a break..I mean.. he could have said sorry or please wait let me go to the back and see what s going on .After standing there another 5 mins, he finally brought me air filter.I don t know how long I would have waited there if I didn t bring him the coolant.Maybe he forgot about me?? Maybe.. but I was standing in front of him for 15mins...It was horrible experience... I will never shop here anymore or order online for pick up from advanced autopart.

Got a new car battery but they said they were too busy to install it, even though they advertise installation included with purchase. Not a big deal but I had to come back and return the old battery since I did not have tools with me to do the replacement on the spot.

The worst advanced auto parts in all of NY. Dhiraj M. (The old man in all the other reviews) Was extremely rude (and smelled foul) from the get go acting like it was a hassle to do any work. Such carelessness for his job led to him selling me the wrong part despite me giving him the exact details of my vehicle. Had to come in later for store credit- already contacting corporate to put in a formal complaint since these guys don t know how to do the easiest job in the world right (typing details into a computer). Stay away, these guys know nothing about cars
