Personally don t think John himself is a bad guy, talks too much, charges too much, possibly a little careless with small things but he seems to be able to get any part any tire you need. Definitely takes advantage of the area we live in by upcharging everything by an astronomical amount. He will talk you to death and I don t know if he s trying to distract you or what but I paid way too much here for something I could ve gotten done at Mavis for 50% cheaper and they aren t much further away. Not really worth the money spent, good for a quick/conveniently placed fix since I live right across the street. Wouldn t recommend, trying to find out if they stole/ mistakenly forgot to reinstall the lug nuts on a car I brought there within the last 6 months.

All mechanics and dealers are crooks. This shop is the only one in the neighborhood I trust. I am confident they will diagnose my issue properly and fix it the right way so I don't have to go back twice like some other shops in town I've used. However he is very pricey. Even an oil change is over priced. I still use him though because he's the only one in town I am confident won't screw me over with repairs I don't need. Just wish his prices were more down to earth. You go out in long island there are shops which are fair pricing and are as reliable. He takes advantage of the five towns.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair, Battery, Oil change

I've been using John for almost 30 years. He does great work and is as honest as they come! I needed a tire that was unavailable everywhere I went or a 2 week wait at other places, John had it on my car within 24 hrs!

Great experience there. Owner was very nice and professional. Brought my car in and the issue needed to be handled by a dealer instead of him so he didn't charge me for the inspecting and digging around that he did on the car and even recommended me to the best dealer of my car in the area that I would have the easiest time dealing with. Even called back for a couple questions about pricing later in the week and he answered honestly and with only my best intentions at heart.

Excellent service, one of the most honest mechanics I know. Always calls before he does anything to confirm the price and the approach. Always explains what he's going to do and why. Works extremely fast. I've never had to leave my car overnight.He's right next to the train station. So, I leave my car before I catch my train. An hour or two later, I'll get a call explaining what needs to be done and why, and by the time I'm back from work, everything is done.

John is the most knowledgeable and thorough mechanic I've ever known. He is committed to excellence and the safe driving of his loyal clients as well as their children. He is honest, direct, and open about the fact that there are cheaper shops around. That's true, but I've learned that you get what you pay for, and you don't have to come back twice to do the same job, which is a relief. I recommend John to anyone who wants a great mechanic!!!

1st. Walson has a very nasty foul mouth when in the presence of his customers. From the reviews I believe it s toward certain customers, the darker ones if you get my drift.2nd. He misdiagnosed my car, I believe to be on purpose, I basically burned my money. I ll never go back.

The service was fine however they left one of the sensors detached in my engine so my check engine light came on. I am less than impressed.

John has a very nasty attitude! I asked a simple question, and he started off by saying FIRST OF ALL, YOU CAN GO ONLINE LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. Very unprofessional and I will NEVER go to or call this place again!

Friendly service in this neighborhood shop. I only use it for maintenance, so can't talk about how good they are for repairs.
