I brought 2 cars within 1 week for repair. One truck for a transmission rebuild and an SUV for a valve leak and sensor issue. Both repairs were done quickly and without any issues.I highly recommend them and am glad I found a knowledgeable repair center.

Unprofessional, grossly overpriced, also threw in a 60 fee for assessment. Which was never mentioned.They told me it was in the paperwork.I signed there was no signature.They couldn't give me an idea of price.And for a simple transmission flush.They came back with eighteen hundred dollars as their quote. Female desk clerk, as well as owner / manager are both obnoxious. I wouldn't stop here for air in my tire. If you need any services provided at this facility doeals off a favor and go literally anywhere else

We originally took our Nissan Sentra to Midas for an oil change and asked them to check out the sticking shifter. Midas told us we needed an entire new transmission! We decided to drop it off at AAMCO in New Windsor on a Sunday evening, without an appointment, and the car was repaired within 24 hours, only requiring the shift assembly to be replaced. AAMCO saved us literally thousands of dollars! Lea and Ray were friendly, professional and took the time to explain everything, guaranteeing that we will be repeat customers.

We are new to the area and I feel like I lucked out! Dropped my car off and within two days this shop had found the problem, contacted my after market insurance, gave me a quote, and fixed the car. On top of that, they saved me a bit of money by looking to the future and asking if I wanted to replace a part that would have needed replacing in the near future. No complaints!

Well, it's never to late to give a review. Almost a month ago, I took my car to this place. Recommended by my Pastor. I was concerned cause of very negative past situations with Auto mechanics. Well people not this one.They did not cut corners, I was told like it is. I knew my car had a lot of issues. But not to the extent of what was really going on. Ray the owner was so honest n detailed of what I needed to do. We started doing the most important. N it really made a difference. From where we started.My goal is to fix my car completely. Cause that's the one that put food on my table with the grace and mercy of God. So we started, let's finish it. Staff, professionals n kindness. Now I know why, my Pastor Recommended me this place. Thank you.

I had a very good experience with this AAMCO they checked my entire engine than called me with the results and did what they said they were going to do. They also checked other things I needed checked gave me a list and prices of things that I need done. Plus they drove me home and picked me up when everything was done. My car runs great now this is a great place to bring your automobile for anything you need. Very nice kind and respectful people.

Had a trans rebuilt there 3 years ago. Developed a severe leak and brought it back. Had to replace 3 transmission cooler lines, luckily no damage to transmission. Any fly by could have said trans was shot, they were very honest about it. And no complaints about their work. HIGHLY recommended.

Everyone here was great. They worked with me to get my check engine light fixed and made sure I passed my state inspection within a single day as a walk in. They worked with me on pricing and I am very grateful for the service

Quick service and trustworthy, worked with Ray and Lea of New Windsor, AAMCO. We needed the transmission of my son's car repaired/replaced. They did an excellent job in a timely manner. I was recently having car trouble and brought my car to Aamco in New Windsor. I had a great experience. I was provided fast and efficient services. The office staff member Lea, helped me. She was absolutely delightful as well as knowledgeable. I will definitely be using New Windsor Aamco in the future and recommend them for their superior service!

Can't say enough, I know enough about trucks to do most repairs myself but when something bigger then I could handle popped up they stepped up and got my small business work truck back on the road faster then any other shop around. The truck runs better now than ever! Highly recommend this business

Very very unprofessional at the Aamco at 295 Windsor Highway New Windsor, NY 11553!I struggled to get over $3000 to get my transmission and other stuff fixed at Aamco, big mistake. I had my transmission rebuilt and it didn t even last me a year. I had it rebuilt this past September, it lasted me til a few days ago and as you can see, the transmission light is once again on and it s doing the same thing that I originally had come in for. All the money I spent to only have a 6 month warranty? That s ridiculous!My other guy who I normally regularly take me to even said that a 6 month warranty on a worn out rebuilt transmission for what I paid is absurd and he spoke poorly of you guys. Yes, I would ve taken it to my regular mechanic but unfortunately at the time l, he was completely booked so Aamco was my last resort. I m a single mother of two on maternity leave. It was hard enough coming up with all that cash the first time around so now this? I complained to corporate and some woman, Charlene called me back and lacked empathy. She never apologized for my experience and just reiterated to me about me having a 6 month warranty. I m livid I had to pay thousands to have this transmission not even last me a full year!!!!!Please, whoever is reading reviews, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AAMCO! And especially being a female, you ll get ripped off, please don t do it!PS- work with me is not an answer I m looking for. I used to be in retail management, I know all the key phrases and that won t work with me. I may not be knowledgeable about cars, but I have over 10 years experience in retail management and your response wasn t acceptable. You guys tricked me into this deal and I was told the transmission was supposedly rebuilt. My mechanic who was busy the day I brought it to you guys even said you guys gave me a bad transmission so why would I come back to your store? I m not wasting any more money in your company again, I ll make sure I get everyone I know on here to give the shop a negative review. I m on maternity leave, I don t have money to waste. I can t even buy myself new clothes. Thank you for making me have to sell my car :(

Best mechanical experience ever. As a senior citizen and widow, my vehicle was making a a noise I was unfamiliar with. I didn t know where to turn so I began making phone calls and asking questions. After reading reviews I called and Leah said come right in. My problem was minor and service was excellent and reasonable priced. I was never talked into any additional service which has happened at other places. I was made aware of some things that I may need to address in the future and was advised to have things checked in the fall to be safe with winter coming. Mechanic explained to me personally what was done and what to watch for in the future. This family run business will be my go to mechanic from now on and they do everything!Services: Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

My Husband & I have been Customers at AAMCO in New Windsor for a couple of years. We both have Cadillacs and appreciate the professionalism, reliable quality service. Recently, I had a problem with my Escalade not accelerating; I had it serviced, but when the probem resurfaced within 30-45 days, I took it back and the issue was resolved! Mark was great with the time frame I requested and getting the car back on the road. He was very informative and fair on pricing. Although I did end up selling this vehicle to buy a new one I would definitely use this AAMCO again. Mark was awesome! He not only identified my problem with my car but offered me multiple options. To include financing options. I took my car to have an AC compressor put in.. also thought I needed a fuel pump. After doing there search they just fixed a few wires and explained to me that I didn't need a fuel pump(thanks for being honest). Since I had a CarShield Warranty.. they made the right amount of calls to the warranty company and got the ball rolling to replace my AC Compressor. It feels good to know that I'll be cool on the inside . While it's hot on the outside.Thanks for your service.

Professional, knowledgeable and responsive. These are honest hardworking people. The price was more than reasonable our first experience and they went out of their way the second time to be sure we were not paying to have something fixed that was maybe just a malfunctioning light. No one who needs a mechanic is happy about it, but these guys made the experience as painless as possible. Will not hesitate to return.
