I was referred to Billy by a close friend nearly two decades ago. He has ALWAYS been fairly priced, honest with me AND has never spoken down to me (as a woman approaching a mechanic alone, I ve had way too many mechanics try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge). His receptionist Amanda is such a pleasure to deal with. She keeps candy, coffee, water and other snacks stocked in the waiting area along with phone chargers! As a smoker, I love their outdoor waiting area setup. Honestly I don t think I ll ever use another mechanic again as long as he s in business!

I Bought a 2009 Town and Country which had a Transmission which was rebuilt by This Shop on March 15th 2023. It wouldnt go into 3rd gear. This shop charged the previous owner 4,000 to Rebuild it. They said because i was the 2nd owner they couldnt honor the warranty with the 1st owner. This van was off the road till i bought it. i had it towed to my house. No miles were put on it between me and the original owner! I had to pay 3100.00 to a trusted shop i knew in Amityville to get it rebuilt the proper way. The Transmission Range sensor was Destroyed and the Transmission Solonoid pack wasnt replaced by East end like it shouldve been in the original Rebuild! When i called East End Amanda was a sweetheart , The man was a nasty old man who clearly let me know i wasnt covered!! Im a Plumber , If i do a Job i have Pride in my work. These People Dont! Stay away!!!!!!!

Called to get estimate on replacing a clutch on my Audi A5. East End will not give you a quote unless you bring your car there. Brought my car in and Old Nasty mechanic said I have to leave it. I said I cannot leave it just to get estimate, he then said Go take it to Audi and see what they tell you Like East End is the only Transmission Shop on LI, Complete Joke of a business!Had my car repaired elsewhere with no problems! Time for that Nasty Old mechanic to retire!Service: Transmission

East End Transmission is an amazing place with amazing people. They offer a variety of transmission work but also include oil changes and brakes and stuff like that. When you walk in, you will be greeted by Amanda who is just a down-to-earth sweetheart. Once you tell them what you need, The one good thing that they do with you is that they are honest. They will not beat around the bush and will tell you exactly what you need done. Billy and the guys have many years of experience and are awesome people to have your car worked on. My whole family has been using them for years and we can t complain at all. Definitely check them out. Fair prices and friendly staff. They know what they are doing. They rebuilt a transmission on my Subaru. Communication could be a bit better but I am very happy overall.

These people are so very nice and honest. Before bringing in car for a transmission issue two local mechanics recommended them to me. I brought in my 2005 Jaguar and they were very straightforward in diagnosing my problem and identifying other issues with my car. They recommended that I not do any repairs and go forward with replacing the car. There was no charge. It's a pleasure finding such decent and honest people. Thank you.

I arrived in New York from Ohio and my transmission blew. Any mechanic knows they have me by the short and curlys, but these folks have been entirely ethical and honest. Recommend for emergencies! Update: they called me to let me know they saved me another grand! What a stand up place!

Recently I had the pleasure to East End Transmission for work on my vehicle. I called prior spoke to a wonderful women Amanda over the phone, she kindly asked me to come down with my vehicle & they would be able to scan it for codes as well as road test my vehicle. I brought my car down there & amazed at the wonderful staff & secretary who also offered to make Rent-A-Car arrangements if I needed to leave my vehicle. If you want great service see the staff at East End Transmissions!

Wouldn t recommend. Don t believe the other reviews unless the car owners are just nieve. They rebuilt a transmission on my s550 I had to bring it back because it would randomly not go into reverse, after getting it back the transmission was leaking my mechanic told me to bring it back it s stripped from the drain plug he doesn t want to touch it and void the warranty. East end took it back and replaced the transmission pan after fixing it bill told me that it was rotted out and would be $250 I told him no problem just save the pan so I can see it when I pick it up he said he will. Picked the car up 3 business days later to hear a song and dance about how he set the Pan aside and one of his guys gave it to the black guy who collects their scrap at 8a.m because the car was there a week. Blaitent lie. Even got my mechanic on the phone who confirmed it was b.s it was leaking right out of the cross threaded drain plug. I new this was going to be his story before even coming so my father came with me and ended up yelling at the owner Bill who he told we would handle this in a different way and report his facility number to dmv. Bill than refused to give my keys over and called the police with another lie that his life was threated. Arrogant man and a complete liar long story short I payed the bill with the police present. Got robbed $244 for a $75 transmission pan because of their mistake. Claims the extra cost was for fluid and filter meanwhile the transmission was built by them 5k miles ago so I don t see the need to discard new fluid and filter when he probably just refilled it with my old fluid anyway.

They had my vehicle there and when the tow truck picked it up, my $2500 generator was missing off the back. I talked to the owner and he just yelled at me and said my generator didn't get stolen off his property. My generator was on my vehicle when I dropped it off at his facility. The tow company loaded my vehicle up and took a photo for instance purposes and sent it to me. That's when the generator was missing!This guy screamed at me and then hung up on me!

This is the best and fairest auto repair shop on the island. Bill and his staff are top notch. I would highly recommend them to whoever needs any type of work done on their vehicle
