I have a 1941 Pickup and are very picky on who touches this car and let's say this shop did extremely well on all levels of work. they were honest. they were productive competitive trustworthy bigtime with this very expensive hot rod it's hard to find good clean respectful and reasonable shops to work on your car and this is the shop bring your car there you will gain a shop for life great people

My wife and I have been using Alexander Brothers for all of our cars for over 25 years.... don't know why we never thought of writing an on-line review before! Was talking with our son and he suggested we write one and showed us how to go about it. Through the years, the Brothers and their crew have proven themselves to be both knowledgable and competent, and most importantly, as honest as the day is long! Several times we have found ourselves in an emergency situation ... an accident ... flat tire... dead battery, etc. and each time, one phone call to them and help was there within a very short time! They're always helpful in answering questions and making suggestions, and always accommodating in setting appointments. It's not an overstatement to say that this is one of the most honest businesses I have dealt with in my 80 years!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto tire replacement, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement, Battery, Oil change

I stopped into Alexander Brothers Automotive repair shop earlier today because I had questions about the misaligned headlights on my car. To be honest, I fully expected simply to make an appointment and come back at a later date. But not only did they answer my questions, they pulled my car in and made some much needed adjustments while I waited. The mechanics were friendly and professional and I am very happy with Alexander Brothers! Thank you guys. I will most certainly go back and I highly recommend Alexander Brothers to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic.Service: Electrical

I had posted five years ago stating on how pleased I was with my experience with this business. Now I'm compelled to state that this is truly a family business and they treat you as such. Frank, Al, Tyler, Kevin, and Jose always greet you as an old friend and are very cordial. I recently had work done and have nothing but praises for the fine work that was performed on my car. The staff went above and beyond something I'm not familiar with. All I can say is exceptional service and automotive knowledge. Alexander Brothers Automotive are not only super professional but extremely knowledgeable. My last experience at the shop was great. They get you in and out fast. Frank is very nice and always sets the right expectations. Never any surprises. And the guys working on the cars in my opinion are the best around. Albert the owner is hands on and always very friendly.

You cannot get better than Alexander Brothers . They are truly the best. Excellent workmanship, honest and reliable. They are family owmed and treat their customers like family too. Their work is meticulous making sure your car is safe on the roads. Thank you Al, Frank & Tyler and all of the staff at Alexander Brothers for keeping my family safe on the roads. They were able to squeeze my car in to fix a tire issue, and it was done sooner than we even expected! They really saved a family trip with this last minute fix. They service is great, they're very professional, and incredibly accommodating. I'll be back for sure!Service: TiresService: Tires

From the initial call to the moment that we arrived to drop off our Jeep for an alignment, they were very friendly and professional. They described the alignment machine and the training involved behind it, which made us feel confident that the job would be done right. Upon arrival to pick up the Jeep, the mechanics and owner conversed about it, confirming our Jeep was in good care. As expected, the alignment was spot on. The Jeep handles like a new one. Alexander Brothers are the best! Great staff, very skilled and trustworthy. They are also very accommodating to busy professionals to make sure your car is completed when you need to pick it up. We have been using them for many years now and will continue do so for many more!

Alexander Brothers were amazing. My car broke down on the thruway. Through a recommendation from a friend who lives the area, I was advised to go to Alexander brothers. They took their time to take a look at the car but unfortunately the engine needed to be replaced. They refused to take any payment for their time, which is almost unheard of these days. They also recommended I contact the manufacturer for any recalls (my car mileage is out of warranty so I couldn t go that route). I contacted the manufacturer and it turns out that my year, make and model had a recall that could lead to engine failure. Long story short my engine was replaced free of charge. If it weren t for them, I would have junked a 2013 car and now this will last for years to come (hopefully). I just wish I lived closer to use them on a regular basis. Everything from their customer service to mechanical knowledge is top notch. Highly recommended.

I have used Frank and Al for over 20 years. The service is excellent as well as caring. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful! Recently we dealt with Tyler, Al s son who was in charge. He was so articulate and clear about the repairs that needed to be done. His father and uncle can be proud of his following the family tradition in terms of quality work, honesty and prompt service!

Go and check out The Alexander Brothers shop for your automotive needs. Amazing people over there. Honest, friendly, amicable, just amazing energy over there. Great experience from my end and definitely will continue to bring business over there for sure.

I had my car towed to 2 different mechanic shops in Orange County and did not receive any guidance on what was wrong with my car When I got a recommendation for Alexander Brothers they gave me the correct diagnosis within an hour of having the car They called the maker of the car and confirmed that my repairs were covered under warranty They go above and beyond any other mechanics shop I know Honest and experts on what they do.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Amazing people! I was visiting from Buffalo and on the day I was traveling home my explorer lost all power do to dry rot of my alternator belt and a bad battery. They never serviced my vehicle before and it was obvious they were busy but they still fixed everything within 2 hours of dropping my vehicle off. They were very honest considering I am not mechanically inclined and was desperate to get home and many would have taken advantage of that. Little did they know I also had to get bask to attend a funeral that i would have hated myself for missing. Thank you for the help!!!

I've been bringing my cars to Alexander Bros for 20 years and am always treated fairly and given a good price. When Frank quotes you a number for repair, it's an accurate ballpark number, no surprises. I think they can fix anything-- they're really good!

We ve been using Alexander Brothers for years and nothing but praise!!!! Frank, Al,Tyler and staff are amazing!!! No problem too big or small, from major repairs to inspections. You name it! Last week stopped in for an issue with my tire. Tyler repaired it in the time it took me to walk across the street and buy a soda!!! Thanks!!!

Good day! As many of you may know, Continental Automotive Repair went out of business. I had been going to them for YEARS! I was in need of a standard routine oil change and an upcoming brake job. A very good friend of mine who is a bonafide car guy, one of the types who doesn't let anyone lay hands on his vehicle, told me about Alexander Brothers. He said he uses Alexander Brothers' and there aren't many shops in town I would let touch my vehicle. I knew there was something to be said about this shop coming from him. I scheduled my appointment in the midst of COVID. Not only did they do an excellent job on my oil change in a timely manner, they found a screw in my back tire. Frank thanked me over and over for my patience, though they did not take too long. I guess in light of COVID many have become impatient. Thank you FRANK for excellent service! I will be seeing you for my upcoming brake job.I highly recommend Alexander Brothers services for anyone who formerly used Continental Auto.

One of the best repair shops around, have been coming to them for quite some time, their services are professional, the dont inflate their prices and on 3 separate occasions they even refuse for me to pay them, stating that it wasn't really a tough job. These guys are definitely one of the best around, plus they have connections with other mechanics such as an auto body shop in valley cottage. Definitely see my self coming here for years to come.

My family has been customers of the Alexander brothers for 6+ years. We wouldn't trust our vehicles with anyone else. All members of their crew are professional, courteous, thorough and, most importantly, HONEST!It would be silly to take your cars anywhere else!

Being new to the area, I tripped across this shop when looking for a NYS inspection. I have had multiple vehicles in for different services. The service is prompt, done right and at a fair price. I stopped by on my way home in the pouring rain because my tire was losing air rapidly and the owner offered to fill it up with air, for no charge, right away. He did it himself. I am so grateful for this kind act. These guys are great... I ve never used them before, but I had a door lock issue and was stuck outside my car near by... I called them up and someone dropped by super fast and helped me out. Really good customer service!

The lads down at Alexander Brothers in West Nyack are AWESOME!! My poor car limped into their mechanic shop after over heating on Route 59. Frank checked me in while Albert and his team got to work on my car right away. Not only was the repair fast and extremely reasonable in price, but I left there with a big smile on my face after a belly full of laughs.Thanks Fellas.R

The dreaded Check Engine light came on. The error code showed a catalytic converter malfunction. Not a cheap fix. Your mechanic might not suggest running high test fuel through the system to see if the error code reappears. Frank Alexander at Alexander Brothers in West Nyack, gave me that very suggestion. It worked. Saved me what might have become a $1300+ catalytic converter replacement.Next time you re looking for an auto mechanic, remember Alexander Brothers in West Nyack.
