We have been trusting Thomas and Greg and all of the team at AutoTech for decades. Literally decades!! We have never been disappointed. They are courteous and professional. They always let you know up front what our vehicles need and how best to proceed. They respect the interior of our vehicles and we have never had a problem with the care they provide. If you are not happy with your current mechanic or if you re new to the area, rest assured you will be in good hands with Automotive Technology!

I was buying a used Dodge challenger at a dealership up the road and originally was supposed to have my brother in law look at it who is a mechanic. He last minute wasn't able to make it and the shop was able to fit me in that same day for a full inspection. They were very thorough and looked at everything on the car. The technician Greg pointed out a modified exhaust which I was not aware of. As well as some small things like a loose bolt that just require a quick fix but is something I would not have known about otherwise if it wasn't pointed out. They made me feel reassured and comfortable going through with the purchase. The manager, Thomas, used to work for Chrysler and even told me around how much it might cost to change out the exhaust back to factory brand when I asked. Greg was very informative and thorough. Answered all my questions, even when I called back with follow up questions. I would definitely recommend this shop!

Awesome place I needed a last minute wheel alignment. Called the morning of told me to drop it off and leave it for the day. Was done by end of day. Great work great place great employees. If you need work done to your automobile definitely go check them out

I love Automotive Technology. As a single woman, I am always concerned I would be taken advantage of when bringing in my car for repairs. Not with this place! The prices are fair, the work is excellent and I am not sold repairs I do not need. Gregg is awesome and trust worthy! I will always bring my car here when I need repairs or maintenance and will feel confident on the road with Automotive Technology's work.

I needed an oil change and my air filter had to be replaced. I went in without an appointment and Graig helped me. He promised the work would be done and ready for pick up in about 4 - 5 hrs. My car was ready in less than 2 hrs. He was very professional and polite. I highly recommend this service station.

I ve been to many different shops over the years and this one is BY FAR the best. They are the most trustworthy people you will ever meet. The owner takes pride in honesty and quality service. I wouldn t trust anyone else to work on my cars besides these guys. Not only do they tell you whats wrong with your vehicle, they actually take the time to SHOW you and explain the reasons and possible remedies. They don t try to upsell you or get you to pay for services you don t need. I usually do most of my own work on my cars because I really don t trust anyone, but this shop has changed that perception for me. I trust them 100% with my vehicles. Best service ever. Best shop ever. I cannot say enough good things about them. 100% recommend!!!!

UPDATE: From 1 to 4 stars because the owner Tom was good and personally reached out to me the next morning after this review, as did Greg the mechanic. Tom apologized and explained how there was a clerical error which I see on the receipt for the cabin air and engine air filters. They said they will fix it so no one else has this problem going forward (double charge) and genuinely seemed upset and disappointed this happened, and said they would "never charge those prices for filters." Luckily I never accepted in the first place. While I still do believe the front brake set repair is high at $912, I appreciate how he was candid about his business and explained why/how he prices. Both seems like honest family man from the area. I would consider returning now and was satisfied with their professional response and apology.----------------First and last time. Went for brakes, first wanted to charge me $127 and $90 for engine and cabin air filters respectively, which i bought on Amazon BOTH for $30 and did myself in 5 minutes lol. That should end the deal right there. So the calipers and brakes for just the front pair was over $1K, that's not criminal but is abnormally high for the area. I think they thought I was clueless since the car needed oil change and wipers bad -- but i know cars well. Just have been busy and low energy. Quote I got from another local shop (for same job I read from this receipt) was significantly less. And cherry on top, while the repairs needed for the brakes were correct, the explanations they gave over the phone made little to no sense.

I usually never post reviews but Tom, Greg and his crew are the best! I had an issue with my back brakes on my 2015 Buick Enclave. They had done the brakes about 2 years ago. At the beginning it looked like a failed brake caliper. So I was looking at rear brake calipers, rotors and brake pads. Tom called me the next day and said under further investigation it looked like a brake pad failure that he covered under warranty even though I was out of it by a few months. He could have easily just kept the original diagnosis and charged me. This is the most honest shop you can find!! We have been using them for years and is always happy!! Great Job!!!

They answer the phone, they talk to you, you are not routed through voicemail, and left out there somewhere, we schedule an appointment to resolve the issues. I can't recommend this shop enough... Finding a good auto shop is like playing the lottery. You will win if you pick this one. Professional, honest, fair price, treating the customer right. The manager Greg runs a great shop and cares about his customers. All the mechanics are top notch and take pride in their work. If you are in need of any type of mechanical work done on your vehicle, and we all do at sometime, don't hesitate to bring your auto here. You'll be glad that you did....Another great experience at A.T. This place and the techs are simple the best. I trust these guys with my car than anywhere else. Anytime I hear someone complain of service they received somewhere else, I tell them about this place. Honesty, Great work, fair pricing, good people from the front to the back. Sam here. Greg and his team are excellent at what they do. Very honest and most important they don t just fix your issues but they also recommend what your vehicle would need for a future reference. They take their time and make sure your vehicle is in good condition. overall 10/10, won t be going anywhere else!

I stoped in late when they were closing I was desperate & looking for somewhere to check my oil level as I was driving with my children in the car & it smelled like it was burning. I was turned away from 2 other local places who told me they were already closed. As soon as I got to Automotive technology they were all so willing to help & went above and beyond. They ended up seeing I had almost no oil in my Chevy Tahoe that I maintain as I should and it was 1500 miles under my next oil change. Greg added oil and explained my next steps since my truck is basically brand new. I wish I could rate them more than 5 stars they have a new customer for life & I will be recommending everyone I know there. Thank you Greg and everyone else there for all of your help, truly appreciated!!!

I passed this shop every week and wish I had checked them out sooner.From the moment I stepped in Greg was friendly and attractive to my needs. It was my first time and he made sure I got an early appointment, which was the following day.I needed an oil change and he did that and beyond. He did a full service check, (free of charge). He also went above and beyond to shed some knowledge about my tires. I was satisfied with the service, hospitality and honesty I received.Greg is the best !!! This auto shop is one I ve frequented for years, and will continue to do so. The service has always been top notch. My car always runs better after a tune up here. Personally I have very little knowledge on the mechanics of cars, but Greg and his staff always take the time to explain the services to me. Local company would highly recommend. I used to fill my bike with their air hose before family bike rides. Now I take my company car for oil change and routine maintenance. Greg and his team are A+ over there. For years this was my go to neighborhood shop. They will not price gouge you or make up issues. I moved recently to ronkonkoma and my truck had issues over in West Islip a few weeks ago- dropped it off, Greg got it diagnosed, and told me to go back to the original shop that recently replaced the throttle body bc they should warrantee the part. And they did. Trust these guys.
