We stopped in for a quick lunch but already planning to come back to stay at this beautiful resort.Nestled on a most breathing location overlooking Seneca lake.We were greeted warmly and offered complentary tea and coffee as soon as we entered the Cafe. I was happy to enjoy some earl grey tea! Thank you!We were excited to order drinks from the list which had select local beer and wine. They were outstanding! We devoured the burger and some tacos and continued our trip after admiring the surroundings.

Couldn t be more happier about our stay. My partner and our dog stayed in the Lake View Cabin and were absolutely blown away. The view is incredible, we could see a waterfall across the lake! The cabin was very spacious and clean, also equipped with everything we could possibly need during our stay. We were so happy to have found a dog friendly place, and the owners dog Rocky (I think that s the name) was very sweet whenever we had the chance to see him around the property. The check-in process was easy and the lady who helped us check-in was very friendly. We can t WAIT to come back, thank you for making our trip so special.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Lakeside Resort. We picked it randomly - as a place our dog could stay with us in the Finger Lakes. The owner was very nice to us AND to our German Shepherd Sarge. We loved the property, the view, the trails, the communal campfire, our room, the food at the Bistro (both nights), the entire staff AND most of all how easy it was to bring our dog on the trip (accept for the car ride of course)! Thank you to the owner and staff at Lakeside!!

Very cute place! My boyfriend and I had a romantic getaway to Watkins Glen and stayed in one of the cabins here. They were very welcoming and dog friendly, which we loved. The cabins were clean and had plenty of linen and towels. Heating was great in the room once it kicked in. The lake view from the main lobby is the best.We had breakfast in the bistro our last morning and loved the waffleini. We also loved the dog they had on site!Would definitely return to stay here again.

The staff at Lakeside are very friendly and helpful to any need that arises. Our room was very clean and comfortable. If you want a location close to wineries, breweries or distilleries, this is a perfect place to stay in the beautiful finger lakes area.Nearby activities: Watkins Glen is a very short drive away from Lakeside. It is a small, quaint town which offers great dining and evening entertainment.Walkability: The resort has paved roads for walking and there are nice views of Seneca Lake. Watkins Glen offers great shopping with easy access along its Main Street by foot.

This was our 2nd time staying here visiting the FLX. I dont understand why you would want to stay anywhere else. You can pick between a huge cabin, smaller cabin, or hotel like room. Everything is new and clean. They have an onsite bar and restaurant that is so good. They welcome dogs everywhere on property. They even suggest letting your dog off leash on their huge property. There is a falls trail and a pond for dog swimming. Plenty of parking and near watkins glenn and all the good wineries on that side of the lake. The cabins have pretty much anything you could need. Big comfy beds. Rocky is the resort family dog. He will welcome you and show you around. Hes a really good boy. At night they have fire pits lit for smores making or having a nice beverage. I just love it here. We will always stay here on our trips to FLX. Thanks to everyone who works there for being so awesome!

The place was very clean and staff seem very polite and accommodating. The beds are very soft and just over all nice. With that being said I think I just had a bad experience and mine shouldn t be the reason why you don t stay here it s not bad. I got there pretty late and once I checked into my room I noticed the lock on the inside was missing which made me feel very uncomfortable because anyone with a code can get in. That kept me up in and out of my sleep 4x. Around 8-9am they started cutting wood right outside the room which then woke me up. At 9:30-9:45 there was a knock on the door as I m walking to the door to check the door opens as I m half naked and it was the cleaning lady luckily I was close enough to the door so I could stop her from seeing everything. Again I think my experience was just one in a hundred and shouldn t be the reason why you don t stay here it was comfy and the staff seem very polite.

This place was wonderful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only thing I can nit nip on were that the rooms were smallish. You aren't going to be able to host any poker games in there, but 4 adults were able to sleep comfortably. The rooms look as if they were recently built and were very clean. If you like dogs, then you will love Rocky the roving dog host. The view is great and you are a quick drive to Watkins Glen and a quick drive to several wineries. All and all, I would stay here again.

Wife reserved this place for us weeks ago so we weren't sure what to expect. The place is amazing! Our room is located in a brand new addition. Room has a "never been used" look. Super clean and well thought out floor plans. Spacious bathroom. Our room also has a balcony facing the lake with a small table and 2 chairs. Behind the building is a fire pit that the staff build a fire in each night for those staying on ste. Adirondack chairs circle the fire pit. Also on the grounds are beautiful new cabins all facing Seneca Lake. While the property does not have lake access, the views are amazing! There is a short walking path in a woodline that has a beautiful creek that is very peaceful. We did not eat at the attached restaurant but may try the breakfast brunch tomorrow. The location is out of town about 3 miles which is very nice. If we return to Seneca Lake, we will definitely return here.

We had such a wonderful time at Lakeside Resort. The room we had was comfortable and quiet, clean and well outfitted with new appliances and TV. The views cannot be beat. Such a wonderful sight to wake up to.We also ate at the 3812 Bistro and it was delicious. I had the burger and some incredible peach bread pudding and my wife had scallops and a cheesecake with fruit for dessert, everything was great, including the service. The trail by the creek with the waterfall was charming and quiet as well as beautiful. They have a fire pit lit every night they're able. While we didn't join it did look like a lot of fun with other guests and their pets sitting around chatting. Please make sure to pet Rocky, the awesome chocolate lab living his best life at the resort. He's a good boy.Rooms: Very nice, clean, well appointed rooms.Nearby activities: Lots of vineyards and breweries around Lake Seneca, along with Watkins Glen State Park for some nice hiking. Check out Corning Museum of Glass if you get a chanceSafety: We felt completely safe.Walkability: There is a trail you can walk, and a large property to wander around, but you'll need transportation to get to townFood & drinks: Delicious. Seriously have at least one dinner here.

Resort location is beautiful, quiet , not too busy/crowded . Area is beautiful. The room was VERY CLEAN for a pet friendly resort (we don't have a dog , we picked this resort bc of location and privacy) .Some complaints at the resort ( I stayed in the lakeside cabin #31) - water pressure is terrible in the shower and bathroom sink . Seating is very uncomfortable. All the chairs in the cabin are all low backs , horrible for your lower back.First night, we checked in, we ate at the bistro, and never went back . We ordered the steak , pretzel bites, and steak stir fry for dinner and creme brule for dessert . Steak was cooked wrong twice , pretzel bites weren't anything to rave about and were very hard, steak stir fry was good , creme brule was completely burnt on top . I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in the creekside cabins, we had a great time! The rooms were clean, the view of the creek from our window was spectacular, and the view of the lake from the porch was beautiful. The trails were also very nice. The food and service were great. Their dog is very sweet and cute too! We will definitely be back!!The room was very clean, the beds were a little firm for my liking, but it wasn t a big issue. Overall, everything about this place is great!

Really enjoyed everything about the place. The staff was awesome! Had some fun conversation about pork roll and taylor ham for the Jersey folks! The bistro was clean, organized and had really good food. We had both breakfast and dinner. The cabin was clean, quaint, and the view outside was wonderful. We walked the trails on the property and sat by the mini waterfall. Location was perfect for traveling to the wineries and distilleries around the lake, as well as visiting Watkins Glen. We had company every morning for breakfast with Rocky, the owner's chocolate lab. We look forward to our next visit.

Lovely place with friendly staff and a great proximity to Watkins Glen State Park. Some small shops and local restaurants a couple miles away and the resort is located right next to a highway to continue on through NY. We didn't eat in the Bistro on site, but have heard great things about it. This is a lovely place to stay and very comfortable. The room is small but cozy and comfortable. Privacy is not perfect, but the windows have coverings and let in natural light! Overall, a great place with a great location. Do recommend!

Our third year in a row staying at Lakeside Resort with our dog in a cabin. Staff (human and Rocky) are great, attention to detail is exceptional as far as the grounds and the accommodations. Love being able to go to the restaurant and get a growler to go of local beer to enjoy on the patio or at the fire pit. Do not miss the fire pit, lots of fun and lively conversation. Food at the restaurant is very good and the outdoor deck is even dog friendly. We can t speak highly enough. Will be back again next year!

We stayed here last night. The cabin is adorable and very clean! It had everything you need for a nice little getaway. Fridge, microwave & coffee pot in the little kitchen. Bathroom complete with a hairdryer and lots of linens. The king size bed was really comfortable & beautifully made. A big TV and a loveseat finished it off. If all that isn't enough the lounge under the hotel part has more coffee, filtered water so you could refill your own bottle, a vending machine & a very welcoming vibe. The food in the bistro was both beautiful & delicious. Rocky, the resident pup, made us laugh at all his begging & following everyone around. We will absolutely be back & will be telling everyone we know to go visit if they can!

We loved the scenery, location, and rooms. We had 2 young kids with us and they enjoyed running on the big field. It was nice to be able to get a drinks to-go and have a food option nearby. The rooms were well supplied but I do wish there were kitchen soap from a bottle to wash hands or wet wipes to clean the counter after cooking. The only thing available in the kitchen was a pre-filled scrubber that didn't work without a lot of effort. Another low was the friendliness of staff. When we asked for something we received it - whether that be drinks/food at the bistro, or extra towels from the front desk - but they rarely smiled or cared to talk more than to say "sure" or "no problem". It was actually kind of awkward to approach them. They weren't personable. All other aspects were really enjoyable so I won't dock this place overall. We would stay again, but just wouldn't expect the staff to be happy to see us.

Really nice little restaurant on the west side of Seneca Lake. Easy to see and get to from Rt. 14. We had two lunch specials...grilled cheese with bacon and fish tacos, and enjoyed them both. We got a garden salad (w/creamy garlic dressing ) and sauteed seasonal vegetables as our side and they were very good, as well. Table service was friendly and quick. Lunch special is good value for the price.
