So where do I start? Well first and foremost Steve Loonan was amazing! When I first called about the Atlas the vehicle was pending, Steve said he will let me know if it doesn t go through . Sure enough he called and said it s available now (most sales people would just move on and not follow up) Steve did. We were looking at. Another vehicle during that time which didn t work out and we are extremely Happy we went with Steve at Bob Johnson VW! Everyone at the dealership were so nice as well we drove 2 1/2 hours to get there and it was worth every mile! All I can say it we are very happy we went with Steve Loonan at BJ Watertown and I HIGHLY recommend you go there as well and ask for Steve Loonan! You won t be disappointed !Thanks again! We will be back for our next one(s)

Had a great experience with our salesman Chris Pitkin. I bought a car from him in 2023 and then we purchased a truck in 2024. Will absolutely be going back to him for future purchases. Bob Johnson is so easy to work with, they got our payments where we wanted them, and weren't pushy at all. Best prices around!

Friends, family, coworkers and casual acquaintances ask me for help buying cars so I deal with a lot of car dealerships. Stephen was responsive, forthright and respectful when trying to find a hard to come by car for my brother. It s always a breath of fresh air when a salesman doesn t waste your time playing games. Thanks so much!

Awesome experience at this dealership. I typically DREAD buying a new car because of the drama and BS that goes along with dealing with "car salesman". I was thrilled to find that the stereotype did not hold water at Bob Johnson Volkswagen. I felt that I was treated, fairly, with respect and no pressure whatsoever. Shout out to our salesman, Danny Estal and manager Steve Hanson. I had never considered buying a Volkswagen and stopped on a whim on my way to another dealership and was sold. Highly recommend.

We are very pleased with our new Tiguan. We have been dealing with Neal Tyrrell and his team for quite a few years now. Neal is a wonderful and honest person and his team is amazing. So if you are looking for a new or used car check in with Neal at Bob Johnson's dealership in Watertown, N.Y.

Brand new Tiguan was an oil burning pos. Service dept kept pawning off issue. Then claimed it needed a $4500 repair. Seafoam treatment cleared up issue. Service dept charged me for a part covered by warranty and unapproved hour of labor. Avoid VW in general but especially BJ VW

I went in for a radiator repair and state inspection, got estimated at $800. Before I left the vehicle there, the front desk associate and mechanic tells me "I need new brakes and 4 new tires in the amount of around $2,000, including the radiator repair." I told them just to do the radiator. When I picked up my vehicle, the bill went to around $986, more than I was estimated.Suspicious, I took my car to Honda on Pamelia (off bradley st), and got a state inspection for $21. Mechanics said my 4 tires were fine and my breaks were ok. I did an emergency brake test on a hill and did not roll. I called the manager at Bob Johnson Volkswagen and told him the situation, and asked why his employees were committing fraud. He made an excuse about my two front tires looking odd and then hung up on me when I asked him additional questions. If you value your money, do not go there as they will lie and try to get you into repairs you don't need.

Chris Leone was the best salesman that I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. He was polite, friendly and honest. He helped me pick out the right vehicle and the experience was great. I would recommend Chris as a sales rep for anyone, he will make sure you are comfortable during the process. He helped get me into a vehicle that I truly wanted, he made it happen! Thank you for everything Chris!

I d give them a 0 if it was possible. Nothing but problems with the service department. They make you wait around for days without a vehicle or for a simple oil change an entire day. I ve never seen people waste more time than the mechanics that work there. They scam you with their prices and lie about things that are wrong with your vehicle just to rack up your bill and they threaten you if you don t give in to their lies. They are beyond horrible customer service wise. What business is allowed to threaten their clients. I have never had to deal with such ignorant people who would rather treat you like a piece of dirt than be helpful. Hopefully this review shows some light on the real Bob Johnson because they need to remodel their HR because the quality of their choices in employees has gone so far down the mechanic I worked with looked like he was high.

After having a bad experience at Bob Johnson Ford in Pulaski I was very hesitant about going to any Bob Johnson facility again. However, Bob Johnson Volkswagen impressed me! We worked with Todd Race & he was incredible! He was so kind, never once was pushy about anything, he even went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted! He had no problem staying late so we could test drive vehicles and help us in any way! He even helped on his day off over the weekend! The finance manager Jordan was also very nice! Called us at home to talk to us about everything before we made the drive. They even got a car from the Rochester lot for us because that was the one we REALLY wanted and got it here in a timely manner. We we definitely be a returning customer in the future!

Just greaseball mechanics. Don't get your car inspected here. They find faults that no other place will. This is the third year in a row I've taken them for inspection for a first opinion. They fabricate faults that no one else will. This year they said I needed four new tires. I took it to both Midas and Mavis and used my own eyes We all found no deficiencies. Tried to scam me out of $1000.DON'T GO HERE!

The worst service imaginable. Not sure if it s mere incompetence or they are just crooks.I live 2 hours away. I have been 4 times to have them work on the SAME FREAKING ISSUE (coolant leak). They have charged me $2000 plus and have not fixed the issue. Will be going back for the 5 th time. One time I had to leave it overnight and get a hotel.

Unless you are buying a car they don't want anything to do with you. No email or call backs from sales or service. It's been a week since my email and over 24 hours since I was told someone would call me. As someone who worked sales, there are no excuses. Under promise and over deliver, not the reverse.

Amazing experience as always. Neal took care of me and got my car right in. Had an airbag, traction control, tire pressure and abs light on. They narrowed it down to a wheel bearing and got it fixed up for me as well as an oil change. Very satisfied, will continue to bring my car there!

I love the car I bought, but ultimately received the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Upon test driving my car, the GM pointed out a few minor flaws and confirmed he would have those taken care of if I decided to purchase the car. I let them know on a Monday that I wanted the car and would be back on Thursday to complete the sale. When I arrived, and after I had signed the paperwork, we discovered none of the issues had been addressed, and the interior had not been cleaned. They ofered to take $400 off the sale (which we appreciated as a compensation for our wasted time that evening) and they offered to address the issues and deliver it to us the next day in Syracuse. At 3pm the next day the salesperson called to let us know he couldn't find another driver to help deliver the car and asked if they could deliver the car the next day.I stated this was unacceptable and asked that he find a solution and let me know what time that evening I should expect the car, as I had already been inconvenienced by their lack of preparedness.Ultimately, the BEST solution the salesperson came up with was to get another one of their customers to drive my vehicle to me. Thankfully, this couple was very nice. But I was taken aback by the absurdity of the solution to put a complete stranger to me in my car and send them to my house. Again - I am thankful the couple was nice (obviously, they are kind people, who don't mind driving out of their way to deliver a car). But this delivery should have been completed by staff from the store. This is completely unacceptable customer service, and I am very disappointed. They treated me well essentially, until the sale was complete.

I purchased a 2019 Tiguan about 4 years ago. The experience was great! I called back about 5 days ago, looking to upgrade. WITHIN that day I drove away with a 2022 Tiguan. Thank you to Steve, Jordan and the whole team for all of your help. You will continue to have our business for many years!!!

Purchased a 2020 Tiguan back in September from Bob Johnson. Purchased the vehicle on a Saturday when it was explained to me that my vehicle had a 5yr/72,000 bumper to bumper warranty. This was explained to me by Walt whom told me he had 30 years at FX/Bob Johnson. Upon picking the vehicle up that next Wednesday I was given a contract for a 50k mile warranty. When I questioned this I was told I must have made a mistake telling you that. In addition this vehicle was parked out front for my pickup but was filthy. This vehicle hasn t even been driven through a car wash, much less a detail. The interior leather had grease spots, tacky, sticky spots all along the door frames and wheels that were caked in filth. This salesman, Walt had 5 days to prepare my vehicle and not one thing was done. After questioning the cleanliness of my new vehicle Walt agreed to take it to the detailers to be detailed again. The vehicle was still dirty but much better than previous. Never once did I receive a follow up from the salesman, Walt or any other employee for that matter. To me if you care about my business and subsequent return business, you d reach out to assure I was happy with the process and product. I would never buy another vehicle there. This salesman couldn t have sold more than a vehicle a day thus having plenty of time to properly prepare my vehicle for pickup. On top of the blatant deceit about the warranty. This is man that works with VW every single day. He knows which years have applicable warranties. In hindsight I wish I had walked out on a purchase, strictly on that lie alone.

I came into Bob Johnson s maintenance facility to inquire about my friend s vehicle that had been in the shop for 5 months. My friend had been in the field at this point and said the vehicle should almost be done. So I come in and I m greeted by one of the mechanics who was nice, friendly, and even offered to show me the literal progress on the vehicle. However, I was then pulled aside by the supervisor who was hostile and stand offish when I asked him about it. The way he talked just sounded like he wanted me out of there as soon as possible before I could get the correct information to relay to my buddy. Mind you, he knew I would be coming to ask about the car and had my contact info before my buddy went to the field. I even had my buddy s method of payment to pay for him on any fee s. But alas, I was pushed out of there quite rudely it felt. Overall, I wouldn t recommend going to this facility for any maintenance on your vehicle.

Not worth the drive. Came for an oil change and there was a huge wait from when my appointment was to actually getting in. There wasn t even enough sitting for everyone.Salesman also lowballed the estimate of my car for trade in. Brought to another dealership and was offered 8k more.It s Watertown so not shocked.

I worked with this dealership from Florida. My salesman was Stephen Loonan. I have never bought a car out of state or handled the entire process without going through another dealership. This was the easiest and most pleasant experience I have ever had buying a car. Everything that was promised to be taken care of was taken care of promptly. Stepehen worked with me so that I was comfortable trusting them. My car was driven from New York to Florida to save the extra cost of shipping. It arrived when it was supposed to and the car was exactly what I expected. I would not hesitate dealing with the dealership again.

Excellent customer service! Neal and his staff are extremely professional! They were great to work with and even brought me in my dream car from out of state. I couldn't have asked for a better experience buying my 2018 Atlas R Line and I highly recommend making the short trip from the Syracuse area to FX Caprara VW as they will make it worth your drive!

Steve and Jordan were AMAZING!!!! Not pushy, no nonsense and not like your typical annoying car sales people at all. They definitely make you want to do business with them. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and were very pleasantly surprised that there is still a car dealership like this! 100% recommended to friends and family!

I found the salesman I worked with (Walt) to be dishonest. A trip to the auto dealership is already a stressful and annoying prospect, but when they have a shady and dishonest salesman it makes it a real problem. I ended up with the deal that I had agreed to in the end, but it took an angry trip back to the dealership, and the real threat of me canceling the sale, to get them to hold up their side of the bargain. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. Hopefully the rest of their sales team are better.

Your better off going somewhere else. Got a vehicle through them in May and had to buy brand new tires and put an exhaust in. This vehicle was inspected twice and they missed those two major parts of the inspection and passed it both times. Regardless of it being a 2017 they sell garbage fix things before selling and you'll get better reviews.

Bought a jeep here. The salesperson AJ Solis was very nice, not pushy. Everything else about this dealership is a nightmare. I told them constantly about the noise and issues with the front end and they ignored me or charged me to 'assess' the issue which they claim they never found. I gave up and took it to a reliable mechanic that was highly recommended and almost $2k later, the struts, shocks, ball joints bad and been bad for a good while. The dealership just kept taking my money for 'assessing' the problem at $100 a visit, gave awful awful customer service and never addressed the problem. Just kept telling me there was nothing wrong.
