I started coming to this location when I moved to the area over a year ago. As I am not knowledgeable with car repairs I needed to find a place I could not only rely on but trust. I ve been in contact with management and the on-site team. Hospitality level is always high, I ve always felt welcomed, and Management has been upfront with me regarding the repairs I ve needed. I ve seen them on different occasions simply because I bought an older car and many things have been needed. I appreciate the level on honesty I have experienced. If a part or certain labor wasn t needed management has been upfront with me. Never have I felt I was being scammed for more money. In fact, management has provided proposals prior in case I wanted to get a second quote (although they wanted the business :) ). Not many companies would do that. It s their transparency that will always win them clientele. And if the consumer is not happy, for whatever the reason, management will make it right. It s surprising to see the negative reviews as I myself have been there enough times to witness the interactions management and staff have with their consumers.Don t believe everything you read. Give this place an opportunity to service you. I definitely will come here for all of my car needs, no questions asked. My car, which is 15 years old, has been running the best it has ever, all thanks to this team!

I recently had a fantastic experience at this auto clinic. The staff was highly professional, and the service was prompt and thorough. They fixed my car issues efficiently, and the pricing was fair. I appreciated their transparency and communication throughout the process. I highly recommend this auto clinic for their expertise and exceptional customer service.

Mount Vernon auto clinic is a very professional establishment. They took care of me with no problem. I appreciate how they gave me their full attention and took a look at my car to inform me of the diagnostic. The service was fast and precise. Total Scam! I went in for inspection next thing i know i needed brakes, the mechanic is deaf and i noticed blind in the left eye poor guy i tipped him well and got out of there (that has to be a liability) I was very concerned and went to my mechanic who 2 months ago did them an i was told these are all low end parts and wont last very long and really he said they should not be on this car that id been scammed for work not needed they were all new. I am no expert so i went along and got scammed out of hundreds plus inspection wont be going back there!

I went there for inspection last August, with my check engine light on. I knew it would fail but I needed to know what was wrong. She said the axles were bad and replacing them would remove the check engine light. She showed me a comparison list and made me pay $2,500. smh The car was repaired (Lexus GS 350 AWD) and the check engine light was off. She said to drive it for 100 miles because it won't pass emissions currently, based on the work that was done. I drove, and within 10 miles, my check engine light was back on. I brought it back, and she said it could be the engine. I told her that she said paying the $2,500 for the axles would fix the problem. She completely denied ever saying that. Why would I voluntarily pay that much for repairs, knowing the check engine light would remain on? So we got into it, and I ended up passing inspection elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs. They're scammers and ripoff artists. I filed a Ripoff Report as well.

Unfortunately for me, my car broke down. However, I had the pleasure of visiting Mount Vernon Auto Clinic for some repairs. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They took the time to explain the issues with my vehicle in a way that I could understand, and they provided a detailed estimate of the costs. These guys really stand by their work. I had a complete tune up and brakes and rotors done. One of the coils was defective, I brought it back in and they fixed the issue in a timely manor they got my car running great again. Thanks MV auto clinic for getting it done. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!!

Best shop in town. The management is amazing. Ignore the negative reviews, its a very friendly shop. Been coming to them for my vehicle services for over 5 years now.

Be careful of this place. I went there for a inspection he told me the car fail. No check light came on nor anything and wanted to charged me $37. I got really mad. I went to another place and my car pass the inspection, these people are ripped off BE CAREFUL OF THEM.

I Stopped in this afternoon for a NYS car inspection after being turned away from multiple shops in the area because it was too late in the day. They were both very nice and had me in and out of there quickly. Suki and her mechanic were extremely thorough and informative during the inspection. I would highly recommend this shop to anybody looking for an honest mechanic.Service: Auto emissions testing

Definitely be careful when coming to this place. I went Wednesday or Thursday don t remember exactly which day for an inspection. The lady that works there acts like coming in for service is a bother to her. No customer service skills and very abrasive. After telling her what I was there for she left me standing there for over 15 minutes just to hand her the keys to my car and told me it ll take 3 hours. Okay great no problem. They called me back and immediately said I needed new tires, new rotors, new breaks, my suspension was bad and quoted me a price of $1200 for the repairs . I know my car and I had never had any issues with it. She goes so can you pay or do you want me to fail the car? As I was asking what about those thing need repair, she literally said okay I ll fail it then and immediately hung up the phone on me. I went back paid the $37 and left. Went to the place my partner goes to and they told me all I need was ONE new tire. Went from $1200 to $280. This place is a scam and in the business of roping people off.

I went in for a routine car inspection. The employees told me to go into a sketchy room where the bathroom was located. When the owner or manager, I assume, called me and told me to step out. I saw my car lifted and my tires were removed. She immediately told me that I needed to get new brakes and a rotor in order to pass inspection. I informed her that I already had an appointment with my car manufacturer and she confronted my statement by questioning why would I pay them when the cost of the manufacturers labor is pricier and hers was cheaper. I have experiences with driving and maintaining a car for the last 23 years and just because I m a female does not mean I do not know about cars. I told her that during my 23 years of owning a car and having prior inspections, no one has ever used this method. She rebutted with oh well this is how we do it in a condescending tone. By then, I already knew that she just wanted to manipulate me for my money which is absolutely sad since she is a female as well. I simply replied to her that I will go to another location and to bring my car down. Her aggressive response was to tell her employee to bring my car down and fail me without even finishing the inspection. She must have known that my car was going to pass the inspection and she just wanted to rob me of my money. If you decide to go here just make sure that your car is straight out of the dealership because I overheard her bragging to her employees how she failed several people in the past few days and how she didn t have enough inspection stickers. When I went to a different location to get my inspection done, they passed me and were even appalled by this woman s bizarre business practices.

Wish I d read all the negative reviews before I went and wasted $37 on failed inspection. My experience was similar to several others posted here with rude woman manager who tried to sell me on needing new rotors/brakes. And said prices and labor charge would be better than dealer s. THIS IS A DIFFERENT OWNER from last time I was here. Maybe a year ago? Will not go back, even for gas.March 2023 UPDATE: took my car in to garage across from Fleetwood train station. It did NOT need new rotors or brakes and passed inspection. I will be using this garage from now on.Service: Vehicle Inspection

As posted in other reviews - SCAM. Noticed bad tires and called me right away. I asked to not do the inspection until I change the tires elsewhere. However, they continued the inspection, failed it, and charged full price, including emissions. Supposedly did the oil change but didn't check or added fluids, like everyone else does. My wiper fluid is still on empty. When I mentioned it, the owner said to go buy a bottle from her and they will charge me to pour it in. Charged $120 for the oil change and didn't even reset the computer. It still said that the car needed an oil change. Makes me wonder if they did it at all. And what's really disappointing is that the owner is a woman who is taking advantage of other women. SHAME!

Scam artists. Took my car there for an inspection since it was expiring soon and couldn t get an appointment on time with Audi. The deaf mechanic there lifts my car up, spins the wheels a couple of times and tells me I need to change all my brake pads and rotors. Woman that works there is nasty also shady, I m guessing she s the manager. I take my car to Audi a week later and they tell me everything is fine. Glad I only lost $37 from this place for the inspection, which the guy failed for safety. Meanwhile, I bet they pass a bunch of junk cars and let them on the road. BEWARE THESE CROOKS.

My car broke down on the way to Brooklyn, and I just made it off the highway and found this place. They took great care of me. Everyone was so nice and they did a great job. They went the extra mile on service by driving me to get a rental and picking me back up later that day. Thanks so much, guys! I highly recommend them!
