I brought my over 100 year old brass door knob hardware to Metal Man to be cleaned and polished. Because of the age and condition of the pieces I really wasn't expecting too much. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The pieces looked brand new. Everyone was wonderful to deal with and the price was more than reasonable considering the outcome. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to use them again or recommend them to friends.

Excellent job every step of the way from start to finish! I researched having my vintage steam radiator restored and decided to use Metal Man Restoration based on their great reputation. Anthony was a pleasure to work with, and a great communicator answering all of my questions. I knew I made a wise decision selecting this company. Manny did a wonderful and careful job moving the very large and heavy radiator paying special attention to protecting the floors. Their prices are competitive and very reasonable for the high-quality work they do. The radiator looks amazing and exceeded my expectations. I went from having a rusty old eyesore to a gorgeous antique. Highly recommend!

These after and before photos don t do justice to how spectacular our 3 brass lamps and table look after Anthony performed his magic. My mom bought them in Iran 70 years ago, and now that they are restored to their original beauty, I m sure they will be in our family another 70 years. Thanks also to Marguerita who was a delight to with with.

We moved into a very old house with radiators that were in bad shape, to say the least! I found Anthony from Metal Man and wow, amazing transformation as you can see in the before pic... Truly we were astonished when they were returned to us. Pick up and delivery by Manny was seamless, with great care taken to not bump walls or furniture. My understanding is that Anthony stripped the radiators by putting them into large dipping tanks, then sandblasted them to a like-new finish, then pressure test and prime and paint with a marine primer and paint color of our choice. We wanted a cast iron look. We didn't want to hide our ratty radiators behind ugly boxes and now there are works of art in every room of our house!

I wanted to restore a pair of radiators in an NYC apt that I bought. Desired to remove the radiator box/cover to create more space and to have beautiful radiators to display. I searched around NYC for restorators but could only find shops that spray coat radiators, which would make them look ordinary. Metal Man was a bit farther away, but restoring radiators the right way is what they do best. (Actually, the delivery cost to move the radiators from my apt and back was only slightly more expensive than a shop in the Bronx. And Manny was very organized, courteous, and the painted radiators came back well wrapped and protected; he moved them right inside my apt). The result was truly transformational, and the color matched my selected Farrow & Ball Off-Black perfectly. Margarita, the paint specialist, was great to work with. The end product exceeded my expectations for a price comparable to the powder spray paint guys.

Metal Man Restoration is the best! We had our beautiful antique brass towel bars nickel plated. The brass color made them look dated and the nickel plating recommended by Anthony and his team brought them back to life. In a time where everything is made to be thrown away it was nice to have something refurbished and look new again. I wish there were more services like his. I cannot recommend their services enough.

I live in Southern California, and chose Metal Man Restoration in New York instead of local places on the basis of Yelp reviews, and have to confirm them - the results we got were spectacular.We received a brass Stiffel lamp 40 years ago as a wedding gift, and it was a corroded mess by the time I sent the pieces off to Anthony. I'd tried to clean it up, and only made it worse, polishing through the brass to the underlying casting in places.The quoting process was a snap - I took a couple of photos of the pieces, provided approx. diameters and total weight, and got back an estimate that was reasonable.Communication during the refinishing process wasn't so good; I had to e-mail a couple of times to get status, estimated completion dates, and information about the payment process.At the end, I filled out a credit charge authorization form, and got back a charge $20 higher than the estimate and authorized amount (you should clarify whether the estimate includes return shipping; next time I will).The pieces came back, beautifully refinished, polished, and laquered. I reassembled the lamp, and it's back in service, much better than it has been for the past 35 years!

Fantastic job - Anthony, Margarita and Manny were all excellent. Helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. We had three 100 year old radiator covers dipped, stripped and painted and they came out like new. Also had a shower curtain rod re-chromed and looks new. HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys.

My husband and I purchased a copper base coffee table over 18 years ago. Over the years, the base began to darken and the beautiful patina took on a blotchy brown appearance with some obvious corrosion. I did some research and found the Metal Man Restoration in Mt. Vernon, New York. I called and spoke with Anthony Guglielmo, President of the company. I sent a photo of the base and he immediately provided a quote to refinish the copper table base. Fast forward, my base looks just like it did when I first purchased it. We are so grateful to Anthony for the restoration and the level of communication during the process. The initial quote was accurate and our table is brand new. We would like to recommend this company to everyone, great results and great customer service.

I had a 43 year old brass bed that was in terrible shape. Anthony and his team restored it to a beautiful bed again. Anthony and Manny are professional, knowledgeable and responsive. It was easy to get this done. I highly recommend him and his company if you have a restoration project. I m grateful that my bed was restored

Had a brass horse head rack refinished. It was solid black and needed to be brought back to life. We could not be happier with the results. The brass turned out gorgeous. Truly professional and A+ experience all around.

So amazing! I had two unbelievably tarnished items for polishing. They were items that I deeply treasured but that I truly thought were beyond saving. But Metal Man Restoration came to the rescue! They polished my items so wonderfully that they look better than when I originally got them. I am extremely pleased with this service. Metal Man did a fabulous job restoring my antique fireplace tool set. This brass-plated set was worn and partly rusted. Now, it look like new, fully restored and I am proud to display this family heirloom in my home. The price was very reasonable too and customer service was great. I highly recommend Metal Man.

I recently had a rare late 19th century American brass table restored at Metal Man. The table had not been polished or cleaned in 140 years.Anthony and his staff completely disassembled the table, and over the next 4 months completely restored and polished it to its original finish. The result was spectacular. The table is now destined for a museum collection.I cannot recommend Metal Man highly enough for the restoration of antique metal work. The staff was courteous and professional,and the price was extremely reasonable considering the amount of time and labor involved.

This restoration service is an incredible find. Anthony perfectly renovated our brass coffee table for a very fair price with friendly, professional service. Highly recommend this small business! We also had him replace an antique fish service which is once again beautiful!

Being an interior designer in NYC for the past 10 years we have used metal man for all of our plating, finishing and metal restoration work.They have performed amazing work on light fixtures/door hardware/plumbing fixtures (changing fixtures from brass to either chrome or nickel finishes).We just finished up some beautiful Victorian radiators for a show house which is being featured in Architectural Digest.The staff is extremely professional and Anthony is on top of all the projects.They do experience some delays (since they are always so busy) but always pull through with A+ service and the final results.I have worked with of metal refinishing companies but none like Metal Man Restoration and with all the services they provide.

I can't say enough for Metal Man Restoration and Anthony, the owner. We had an antique dresser we were refurbishing and sent the old tarnished brass hardware here to be refinished in a satin nickel. The finished product was nothing short of amazing. Their work is first class and their prices are extremely fair and competitive. This is a first class organization with extremely high customer service.

Great job by Metal Man Restoration. Anthony along with his team helped me to restore an antique wall unit. He was able to copper plate all of the hardware and also advised me on the type of sheen and finish. Extremely satisfied with his work and would definitely recommend his services to my friends and family.

We used Metal Man to restore a large, restaurant hood rescued from an old diner. We loved the curved shape but it had sat in a garage for 20 years before we decided to put it in our kitchen remodel. Metal Man did and EXCELLENT job! They even helped us configure the commercial grade exhausts in it. At our request, the small dents and imperfections were left in the piece as we realized many a chef had probably knocked on it and we wanted to leave a little visible history!

We purchased Kohler Brockway sinks for a new house we were building but the finishes and faucets for this sink are exclusive and only come in a polished chrome finish. We are doing uncoated polished brass so they will patina over time. We worked with Anthony at Metal Man who was fantastic in explaining the approach but more importantly kept us posted throughout the process including sending us photos of the progress and did an incredible job on the faucets, drains and soap dish. Being new to this, even though it was a small job, having someone who patiently helped us through this process was reassuring. We were so happy with the outcome, we re going to have Metal Man do another small faucet for us. Lastly, I have to say we compared prices - and not only was the quality right, we had the confidence they would do the job right, Metal Man s prices were completely reasonable.

Very happy with Metal Man Restoration. Needed several parts brass plated for a restoration project. They gave us an estimate and did the plating work very quickly and at a very fair price. The parts came out beautifully and look great on our restored item. Highly recommend.

Metal Man Restoration just finished replating and lacquering six hairy paw feet from an old Phyfe dining table. The feet that I sent were in miserable condition, particularly the castors. The old brass finish hadworn through in many places, revealing the base metal. After Metal Man's work, the feet are absolutely beautiful, probably better than when they were new. The cost was quite reasonable and the work was done in a very timely manner. Even better, the company kept me informed about the process. Having worked with other platers over the years, I can say absolutely that this was the best experience I have ever had with this type of work.

The owner, Anthony, is a master Craftsman who really knows how to deliver top notch quality. I highly suggest gettGettysng to know him, because his advice, knowledge and dedicating n can save you time, grief and money. Here's a photo of my last project, some 1940s sconces. Great job!

I took my all aluminum mountain bike frame to Metal Man Restorations---my beautiful bike was left out on the terrace over the winter. I got heavy oxidation all over--it was basically ruined.I called Metal Man Restorations--spoke to Ms. Margarita, she said drop off frame give us 2 months.They polish my frame so beautifully I couldn't believe it was actually my frame I dropped off. My mouth just stayed open in disbelief. Kind a like that GMC Sierra commercial with that new tail gate. I was so impressed I also took my aluminum racing rims for them to polish. Metal Man Restorations are something out of this world. True professionals & the nicest people you will ever meet..Thank you very much Margarita--Anthony & polishers

Anthony worked with me to restore a table which had the irreplaceable cast legs broken in a move. He helped me select some replacements and then made the new legs a near perfect match for the table with plating and "distressed" painting; not an easy job. Price was very fair. I would certainly engage him again.
