Before coming to this shop, I went to 2 mechanics, and they weren't able to help me because of the type of transmission i had. They kept referring me to someone else. I started my search, and I came across H & S Auto Transmission. I brought my car into the shop because I was experiencing issues. It was lagging, whenever I pressed the gas pedal, the car would delay before moving forward and among other issues my car had.Now, as young woman, I don t know much about cars, so image being refer twice and no help.I was so happy that I found someone who knew about transmissions and the different kinds.The owner explained my transmission type and why it was experiencing such issues. He gave me a better understand of what my car issues were. The owner definitely did his due diligence, in ensuring everything was running perfectly before returning the car. When I arrived to pick up my car, he provided photos and a detail log explaining everything what he found while working on my car.Their pricings are so affordable. I ended up getting a new transmission at an amazing price along with 1 year warranty.Unfortunately, I can only give a 5 star but if I could, I would have given more because I am truly satisfied with their business and how they handled everything. They are so professional, fast and honestly cares about their customers.

Absolutely love coming to this shop, I have brought 2 of my cars here for mechanical work and each time I leave satisfied. The work is done quickly, efficiently and also for a great price. Being that there are only 2 men in the shop Hafeez & Chris will try work with your budget and they actually care about getting your vehicle fixed and back on the road.Definitely recommend getting your car repaired at this family-friendly business they deserve the highest star ratings.

I took my car there as l assumed that there was something wrong with my transmission, they ran a diagnostic test and told that my transmission was fine, took the car for a test drive and was able pinpoint that my wheel bearing was bad. Very honest and will not hesitate to take my car there if l ever needed any future repair done. BTW l did ended up replacing both bearing. My car now feels so much better, whining sound is now gone. Pricing was very reasonable.

The mechanic staff goes above and beyond for their clients. Very good prices and take the time and let you know everything that needs to be fix and repaired. They work with you. If I could give them 10 stars instead of 5 I would and also referral them to people that need good car service. If you need any repairs and work to be done I recommend H & S Auto Transmission and Repair. I been a client for many years and wouldn t go to any other mechanic shop. I would give H&S Auto Transmission a 10 star review but google only goes up to 5! Hafeez and Chris took the time to accurately diagnose my Chevy Suburban transmission problem on a Thursday and they rebuilt the entire 4x4 transmission by Saturday!! That was half the time anyone else said that they could and my truck is purring. Their price was also great and they guarantee the work for a year. They did a great job, going over and above to replace parts they did not know would need to be replaced until they had the transmission apart and NO hidden or extra charges. This is an individually owned shop and Hafeez the owner explained everything to me in detail and then took videos and showed me the parts he had to replace confirming to me what I felt which was both that this shop is extremely experienced technically and, perhaps just as importantly, honest and trustworthy. Both Hafeez and Chris are really nice people too. They also do all kinds of auto repairs and I will definitely use them in the future!!! Thank you Hafeez and Chris!!!!

Hafeez Found an issue in my car AC that 2 other mechanics couldn't in a span of 2 year in less than 24 hrs. Had my car the next day plus a few extra things that they took care off at an extremely reasonable cost, 5 stars isn't enough 10 would be more appropriate.There is a reason why this guys are highly rated, professional, friendly, efficient, at a fair cost , unlike other mechanics you do not feel you are at their mercy , but you feel they actually care about how your vehicle will run, this is a place I highly recommend it is very clear as a customer "YOU WILL DRIVE AWAY SATISFIED"Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Oil change

Awesome mechanic the owner told me I did not need a transmission after Toyota told me mine was slipping he drove it with me and told me I was perfectly fine and I asked him to change the transmission fluid and he said it was perfectly good I didn't even need that and he showed it to me and showed me the dirty one so I would know the difference I will be definitely making him my usual mechanic for now on very hard to find a honest mechanic

Honest place! I came in thinking it was my transmission and the owner instead of taking an unsuspecting customer for a ride actually test drove it and discovered it wasn't. The alternator, belt and ignition coil, saving me thousands of dollars! I found my new mechanic... anything I need I will go to him for. Hafeez* hopefully I didn't misspell his name too bad but it's not often you get honest mechanics.

After I canceled the payment of $4,300 to H&S Auto Shop from my credit card company, I eventually filed a complaint to the DMV, and they found him 5 violations!Since I had solid evidence of his scam, the credit card company got every cent of my money back! So when the DMV officer called me, I told the officer that I got all the money back from the help of credit card company, so I would like to withdraw my complaint; but the officer said he had found H&S Auto Shop many violations and the owner of H&S Auto Shop already got fines.Few months ago he changed the brakes for me, he told me the cost was $375, when I paid I saw the price was raised to $394. I didn t say anything, I though he raised $19, never mind, I paid without questioning him. Then he repaired the transmission for my the other car, he said his fee was $3,500, but when I picked up the car this morning, he suddenly raised the price up to $4,300! And he talked in a very mean tone, saying that he did this and that extra, but he never asked me if I could afford the extra charge of $800!Also, after I picked up my car, the gas was low. I found that he drove my car for 54 miles. If this was a test drive, this test was unacceptable. Also, there was an EZ pass charge by him! I actually took pictures of the mileage when I dropped off my car to his shop. He just tried everything he could to take advantage of me!The first time when I visited his shop, he was a lot of nicer, now he suddenly add an extra $800 without asking me if I agreed or not, or if I could afford it. If he wanted to replace any parts, and cost me more money, he was supposed to call me and let me know. I m surprise that he changed his attitude from nice to rude and mean!On the second visit to his shop for repairing the brake, he told me he was 55, and asked me about my age. I just told him that I was older than him. Then when I dropped off the other car for repairing the transmission, because my daughter was with me, he asked me if I had a husband. I made a mistake by answering him no, just two of us. Then when I picked up the car, he asked me again how old I was. It was very inappropriate and unprofessional to check out customer s age, background and their marital status. I know in some cultures, women without a husband for protection, some people would brother them and try to take advantage of those women. Maybe that s why he try everything he can to check out my age and martial status to see how much he can take advantage of me.After few days of driving the car, I found: 1) The engine is very loud and vibrates when I accelerate. 2) I can smell engine fumes in the cabin when driving. 3)The cover for the base of my shifter is missing.I drove my car to his shop and tried to explain to him hoping he could find the problem and fix the problems. He was extremely rude and mean and refused to even take a look!I had no choice but canceled the payment of $4,300 and file a complaint to the DMV.

I searched on google and realized this shop got great reviews so I decided to take my car there for service, chris is a great mechanic and very patient. I am very pleased and their prices are reasonable.. 10/10 recommend

I couldn't trust this shop(1) Mechanic says he is not responsible if Transmission shows damage soon after work is done..(2) Doesn't initiate that trans flush is not needed, Only agrees after I made a decision to not have trans flush done.(3) I verify online that I'm being charged more than avg cost for trans flush.(4) Maintenance work seemed like a foreign concept. They're more like transmission swap shop.I'll never go back...About your response... If I was price shopping, that would have been my 1st question. If I was bent on having flush . I would have left car there andnot have waited for car to be checked out . I didn't check price until I got bad gut feeling about service. Your side of things don't add up.That happens when not truthful. To me you're making your business look worse.

My experience with H & S Auto Transmission was great. They did excellent work on my Mercedes Benz S600, my Mercedes 560SL, and my Mercedes 550SL. Their staff and workers were very professional and courteous. Thanks again H and S for great work done . Old school experience, and professionalism. Hafeez cares about the car and the customer. Glad I found him. I needed transmission sensors on my '07 Honda replaced. My transmission specialist and regular mechanic both recently retired and I found my way to H&S from its excellent Google reviews. I appreciate the clear explanations, the knowledge, the desire to do things the right way and to fix what needs to be fixed. The man is trustworthy. The prices fair and reasonable. I brought my 2007 Ford 500 in for a transmission diagnostic. Hafeez drove car with me, performed diagnostic, and told me transmission was fine. Previously, a person told me there was a transmission slip. Then, he saw front and rear bumper damage. He immediately started to pop back in the bumpers and added bolts, etc, with nephew Chris. Car looked very good after his work. He was amazing!! Best guy I've seen in this business. Very fair and honest. I will DEFINATELY be back!!RichardService: Transmission

Travelled from Toronto, Canada to visit some family. Our van started to over heat. This shop was recommended to us and did not fail. Hafeez and his team was able to diagnose and fix the problem, quickly and effectively. Not only do they do great work, the are very humble and fairly priced.Made it back home - no issues and haven't had any problems since. Thanks again for your help!HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Its a family owned business. Guys were extremely fast and professional. I went there for belt and alternator. Guys gave me all the options and explained the differences. We ended up changing my break pads and topped up the oila and the antifreeze. Last two were a gift by the way. Respect! Will recommend if youre in bronx and have an emergency.Service: Brakes

He recommended I buy a new transmission from the dealer for a car that has over 180,000 miles. He said my toyota has a CVT transmission which was also false, confirmed by another mechanic and 2014 non- hybrid camrys don't even have come with CVT's only automatic.He also said I should replace the air intake sensor which it doesn't have any either. If you don't want to service a particular person for whatever reason, just say "I apologize, I cannot perform this job" instead of making ridiculous suggestions as well as give false information. He even slammed my hood because I questioned him when he was saying complete nonsense so I made him aware of my knowledge, since he thought I was some illiterate that cannot tell between a CVT and automatic transmission. I'll see if I can find the dashcam footage of the interaction and post

Awesome guys. I had a cracked coolant line and it was fixed very quickly. Between diagnosing, sourcing replacement parts, and repair my car was ready in a few hours. I took my 05 Acura TL to H & S after discovering that my Timing Belt Tensioner was going bad. Originally I wanted to service my transmission but they had assured me that it was fine. I took my car to them to get the tensioner fixed. I didn t know if I would ve gotten the car back in a timely manner using a different shop, but rest assured Hafee took care of me. Had my car for a day and was done around the same time the next day! I d highly recommend taking your car here. Very honest work for a very good price. I ll definitely be taking my car back here whenever I run into more issues!Service: General repairs

This review is well overdue. I got my first car last year and needed to pass my inspection. The owner was truthful about my car's condition but managed to help my car pass the inspection in order for me to drive it. He ran tests, fixed it up etc. The prices are reasonable. Thank you!

Hafeez has to be the most professional, honest, and genuine mechanic i ve ever been to!I had a number of issues with my car from the tire rod, to the axle, a worn out tire, and it was in need of an alignment! I went in to the shop and showed him a previous estimate i got which i just couldnt afford! We spoke and he gave me a very fair price noone could beat! I explained to him that i had to take a trip to Atlanta Georgia the next day and the car was fixed in a very timely manner! Thank god for this business. I made it to Atlanta safe with no issues. I am VERY grateful to have found them. Highly reccomended mechanic. You will not be dissapointed!Service: Tires

I heard noise coming from my car for about a week, so Saturday morning I stopped at a mechanic, only to be told my car was dangerous to drive and he mentioned transmission. He also stated that he doesn t deal with transmissions. The word transmission sounded scary to me.Nervous and upset, I drove a little bit, and I saw H&S Transmissions. I started not to go in because it was Saturday around 10:30am, and I might be told to come back another day. I went inside and met the owner Hafeez, and explained to him the noise I heard from my car. I was so thankful that he gave immediate attention to my car. He drove it around the block, came back, put my car on the lift, and told me exactly what was wrong with it. He then proceeded to show me, what was broken, what needed to be done, and why it needed to be done. As he explained everything to me, all I could think about is what this is going to cost. He checked on the parts and price, and the price was reasonable!! When he finished with my car, he showed me and explained every new part put in my car. He also showed me the old broken parts taken out. My car is now safe to drive, thanks to Hafeez! I recommend H&S Transmissions for anyone in need of a knowledgeable mechanic!Service: Transmission

H&S were the best. All my problems were fixed , all of my needs were met.The problems that I had came to H&S with were problems I discovered that I previously paid another mechanic for and turns out I was ripped off. He fixed amd replaced all of the dealers mistakes. He provided great customer service by being very concerning , professional . understanding of my needs when it came to listening, meeting , and fulfilling the needs of my car. He was honest and not at one point of discussing the needs of the car did he seem frustrated or uninterested about the service requirements. I would recommend this mechanic to anyone .No.longer do I have to worry about and search around for a reliable mechanic who provides auality work and meets expectations. H&S not only saved me money , time , but they also saved me worry.

I was visiting New York about a month ago and experienced some car trouble. I was referred to H and S auto through a family friend. I was a little skeptical at first to send my car (2010 Toyota Venza) to a shop I did not know about, but decided to give it a try. My AC had stopped working in my car, the driver side window power button for the window was broken and my front brakes needed to be changed. After taking my car in and speaking with Hafeez (the owner) I felt more confident in my decision to take my car there. The price was very reasonable for all the work that had to be done. I especially liked how knowledgeable Hafeez was about cars. My overall experience with H and S auto was excellent and I am pleased to recommend them to anyone. Honest, reliable and great pricing/customer care what more could you ask for?
