The shop is sensational, starting with the customer service, the shop's appearance, and the quality of work (top notch) performed. I was so fortunate to have found this shop. Matt & John are so professional and do an amazing job. I highly recommend them if you're seeking superior service of your vehicle. Just roll in and see for yourself, you'll definitely be overly satisfied.

Terrible customer service and attitude from the employee. I went there to do oil change and mistakenly went to the wrong side of the store . Instead of letting me that I am in the wrong area, the disrespect employee came at me like he wanted to beat me, scolded me and asked me to get out the his property . If this is how these employees treat customers for the first time, you can only imagine their normal treatment. I wish I knew the employee s name but he had long curly hair with terrible attitude.

I have been coming here for years. I take all my cars here for service and modifications. They are great people and do amazing work. It's hard to find a nice auto shop with honest people that are friendly and willing to work with you. I have been to shops all over Nassau County even the city area and NJ. I still keep coming back to Andy and Terry. I don't trust many mechanics with my cars because most of the time they will take it for a joy ride around the block or bring it home etc, but after being a loyal customer for many years I trust them and know that they're honest people. I have a C63AMG and a 335xi they've been doing the services on both my cars for years. When I decided to modify my C63 with full exhaust and tune I had them installed here. Ran into some complications with the exhaust because the system was a bit complicated and there were no instructions for the wiring and valves, but they did their job and figured it out. They did an amazing job! I recommend all my friends and family to go there. A lot of my friends go to them as well with their cars. Give them a chance and I promise you won't regret it!

This was my first time going to South Shore Tire Service & Repair. I was looking for an automotive shop to plug or replace a tire on my vehicle due to a nail in the sidewall. I had heard good things about this shop so decided to try it. John was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He took a look at the tire and was able to plug the tire rather than me having to purchase a brand new tire for a car that is only a year old. I m very happy with the service I received. Will be coming back for other services and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I purchased my own APR cat-back exhaust and a dog-bone mount insert and was looking for a place to have it installed while also not trying to get ripped off. I was referred here by a friend that had work done to his GTI a couple years ago and he was referred here by one of our friends that used to be a mechanic at this location.When I arrived today, I didn t have an appointment and I thought it was going to be a long-shot to have them provide the service I wanted. I was met with John, Bob, and Mat and they were all fantastic to work with. They originally had quoted me a 4+ hour wait and that I needed to leave the car. My house is a 30min drive from there so that really wasn t an option for me at the time. John offered to get my car on the lift to get an idea of what the install process would look like and allowed me to guide them into what I wanted to be done. They got the exhaust out of my trunk and out of its box and they immediately offered the service on the spot. I waited about an hour and a half and everything was installed professionally and they were even open to allowing me to be present at certain times before they brought the car back down from the lift. Awesome customer service, super courteous and reasonable price even without an appointment and just walking in. Thank you John, Bob, and Mat. You guys were all amazing.Highly recommend Andy & Terry Automotive if anyone has any installation needs!

John is an absolute legend, I came in for a state inspection and he went above beyond. My first time coming here and im absolutely impressed on their customer service. Guys like them are really hard to come by and I would definitely recommend them to anyone

Terrible first experience. Went there for a simple oil change. Young man in the front that actually does the work was courteous and nice. Older guy that seemed like he was the manager wasn t great, constantly went back on his word and had a terrible attitude. I had brought my own oil and filter and he initially told me they wouldn t use it, and then said we ll use it but charge you the same price as if I used their oil and filter. I agreed as I had come all the way there and about halfway through they told me they d give me a discount for bringing in my oil and filter, but not to do it next time. I was thankful but I still should ve been given a discount in the first place for bringing in my own parts. I then remembered that I wanted a tire rotation, a very simple job, which includes just moving my wheels around. The older guy refused, didn t provide an explanation. It would ve taken less than 5 minutes and my car was already on the jacks with oil still dripping out. They also put the oil change sticker on my windshield. I have tints on my windshield. Dark tints, there s no way they could ve missed it. Why would you put a sticker on tints without asking? All in all, terrible customer service, good job on oil change- but that s literally any mechanic shop. Do yourself a favor, somewhere else.Service: Oil change

Went to get a flat tire checked out. They did nothing, but just check the tire for an air leak and charged $21 for that. It's not like they even had to take off or put the tire on the car. What a rip off! Tire shops don't even charge that much for a tire repair! Never go to people trying to take advantage and rip people off.Response Reply:I see that you responded to my review. First of all, I was the one who took the tire off of the vehicle and brought it to your shop. Second, it definitely wasn't 20 minutes you spent checking the tire. $21 just to put a tire in water, that's ridiculous! I already had the tire replaced by a respectable tire shop. Thank you, but no thank you.

John was the best , he was more helpful than the people I actually purchased my car from! Also their prices are the best, and they make sure that they get the job done. When Vince and Shawn ran this company It was phenomenal, I was a ten plus year customer. John the new owner is terrible. You ll pay twice as much for any tire. They quoted me $215 for a tire that was $93 dollars. But don t just take my word. Just ask john s price then look at any other retailer. They generally over charge for ALL parts. I was charged $14 for $4 dollar lugg nut. The mechanical service is also sub par. They left an oil filter wrench under the hood of my car, I had a rack and pinion changed on my car, they disengaged my traction control and told me it was the rack I bough. Took it to another mechanic and they engaged the traction control again.(it obviously wasn t the rack I bought) .On top of all that John is just plain rude. It s such a shame, that place used to be great. You ll notice now the shop lot is pretty much empty . Everyone I know that used to go there as also left. I was a very loyal customer but I ll never return to that shop again.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

As some people experience, reliable and knowledgeable mechanics with good customer service Can be very hard to find. As a rotary owner even more so! Recently, I have taken my Mazda RX8 here to do major repairs. Expecting (especially with COVID!!) to have to wait for parts or the work to be done, I was extremely excited to get a call the very next day from John that my car was ready. John even followed up with me the next day to make sure I was not experiencing any issues!! I couldn t believe the turn around and even thought that something might have been wrong when he called because I wasn t used to having a mechanic follow up!!! Great customer service goes a long way. I have brought a couple of other cars there over the last two years and I am extremely happy with the service. I m excited to have someone to work on my rotary and my Toyota! All of the guys at Andy and Terry s have always been experienced, friendly and helpful. And John is great to work with if you have a rotary or you just need someone dependable and fast without sacrificing quality!!

Let me just say, I would recommend Andy and Terry Automotive in a heartbeat! I went to Andy and Terry Auntomotive in need of an inspection. I was greeted my John who inquired what I needed I explained, " I need an inspection." He was professional, respected my time constraints, and to ensure that I understood what repairs were needed on my vehicle, he requested I ask my husband to come to the shop. He thoroughly explained everything to me over the phone and then walked through repair needs step by step with my husband and I.I am so happy that I brought my vehicle to this shop and will have all future repairs and or maintenance done here. The service, attention to details, and the quality work work will keep me coming back.

I was looking for a place after relocating back to NY and Andy & Terry s was highly recommended by my very good friends. My car s AC needed some work and they did not disappoint. John and Bob were very professional and so very helpful. They were also able to find a way to fix the issue without going directly into the expensive option. I m grateful for their integrity.

Have been coming to the shop for a few years. They work on all of my cars, everything from my corvette stingray to my Honda. They are incredibly honest and one of the few shops around that not only have great prices but the quality of their work is impeccable. I never take the time to write reviews but these guys deserve it. The only shop in long island that I'll ever take my cars to. You guys rock!!!

I have been getting my car serviced at Andy and Terry for as long as I have been driving. The mechanics are fantastic! They help explain what you need now, what you may need in the future, and they are super accommodating about dropping off and picking up your vehicle. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and have already done so. When my car has an issue, they are the only ones I trust to tell me the truth and actually fix my car. Also, they provide some fun banter while you wait! 5 STARS for sure!

Vince and his team is an absolute GOD SEND! They're professional, efficient and they absolutely know what they're doing! As a young lady, purchasing my first car, I was nervous about finding an honest and integral mechanic that I can depend on and wouldn't take advantage of me. Andy and Terry Automotives is everything I imagined and more! I love you guys!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I dropped my car off thinking that it was a place affiliated with my insurance company so I could get my gas tank fixed. The environment was very nice and I read nice reviews so I was sure that I could trust this place. I spoke with the insurance company and there was an error; I had to move my car from one shop to the next. I still planned on using this place for my own personal repairs that I had to get done aside from the gas tank as they are 4 min from my house. The insurance company spoke with the manager there (I think his name is mike he is the brown guy (he joked around with me asking if there was any good reviews about the brown guy there I hope he sees this review on his nasty attitude)) and he lied and said he WAS NOT the manager and he couldn't do anything to authorize the car leaving while his manager wasn't there and not verbally over the phone. I drove there with the insurance company over the phone and he did confirm he spoke with them. Yesterday he told me he was the manager who runs things while the owner isn't there and all of a sudden he isn't? He tried to make it seem like he didn't know what the insurance company was talking about and then he throws my keys at me like "you can take your car. " I informed him the tow was coming for it and he goes "well the keys can stay there" with a flick of his wrist. How crazy it is that when I was dropping my car to be worked on it was all good and from the moment I walked in to get the authorization to get the car towed he was rude as hell. I'm happy I am moving my car from that shop and they definitely lost a future customer. If you can act like that and only want to act professional when your getting something out of it I definitely don't trust you with my car.

I brought my Audi SQ5 in for a good amount of APR performance mods; Vince and his team are absolute professionals that kept me informed at every stage of the project. Not only was the communication excellent but the work performed was outstanding. I have a smile on my face from ear to ear every time I drive the car :) I will absolutely be back for any other modifications that I want done to the car - I wish I knew of them years ago as i would ve brought all of my past German rocket sleds to Vince and his team. Honesty, professionalism and workmanship are hard things to find all in one shop and Vince s shop represents all of the above.

Andy and Terry's is an A class mechanic shop! They are professional,clean and knowledgeable! I had an apr exhaust installed on my audi a6 by a knuckle head mechanic, I had issues from the beginning. I had a great experience with these guys. From the minute I stepped into the shop until the day I walked out with my car. They took care of everything I had asked for and followed up with me every step of the way until my car was finished. Vince even waited for me even after shop had closed just so I could pick up my car because i was running late after I left work. These guys are absolute professionals and i would recommend them to everyone, My mk6 Gli is running as good as new if not better. Thanks Vince and you'll definitely be seeing me again

These guys are the best mechanics in Long Island! No job is too big or complex. Here's my story: I purchased a car with a rebuilt title as I was trying to save a couple bucks. At the time of the purchase, the check SRS system light was on but the guy I bought from told me it's probably just a sensor so I went for it. I took it to the dealer and come to find out, the wiring harness was cut and repairing would be well over $2,000. I did some research and found this amazing mechanic They had to re-wire the entire front end of the car and did the work at a fair price. If you're looking for an honest fair mechanic, go see Vince at Andy and Terry.

Hands down the best Autoshop i've ever experienced.I Could not recommend these guys enough. Vince and his team are fantastic, they explain everything clearly along with the reasons behind what they are doing and make it their mission to ensure you leave happy and satisfied.Shop is clean, well organised and there is a healthy mix of models and ages of cars outside from classics to new cars which is always an encouraging sign.Case and point, my 2010 VW GTI has had a persistent knocking coming from the front right for the last 2 years, during this time i have visited sunrise vw stealership on 6 separate occasions for warranty work.... after replacing everything in my suspension they could not find the source and tried to charge me $1100 dollars to replace the strut mounts and bearings ...i walked out,I came to andy and terry's after finding them online and they went over the whole car and recommended the replacement of the same parts but charged half. During the replacement vince called me and told me that they discovered another problem with the control arm mounts which he wanted to fix at the time but did not have parts in stock. He then offered to do the job afterwards at part only price (no labor)This partially solved the problem i was having but unfortunately there was still a noise coming from the car, again they stepped up and told me to bring the car in and for no charge he was going to get to the bottom of it. 3 hours later i get a call that he's found the source (poorly seated front crossmember and subframe fasteners due to a poor previous job at sunrise vw) and the car feels like new again.It is very rare to find honest, hardworking individuals in this industry and these guys are a testament to their profession.Thank you Vince and the team for giving me my car back as it should be, you have a customer for life.James

First time paying a visit after passing by this place for over 15 years. I purchased a new set of tires from tire rack for my 2015 Lexus gs and tire rack suggested andy and terrys. Noticed the mostly great reviews. I spoke with Shawn one of the service managers and were set a time i showed up and in 5 minutes my car was on a lift. Shawn pleasant and professional took the time to explain the process and other options available to me ie; nitrous tire fill and explained the benefits. Great service and I will be back. Thanks Shawn
