I am beyond furious with the South Shore Hyundai dealership! Their irresponsibility reached new heights as they callously abandoned my car in a Macy's parking lot, resulting in vandalism and theft. Shattered windows, stolen belongings, and a missing radio are the aftermath of their gross negligence.To exacerbate the situation, their response has been nothing short of infuriating. They ignored my inquiries for weeks and shamelessly attempted to shift the blame onto me, insinuating that the issue was my responsibility to fix. This complete lack of communication and accountability is not only unprofessional but also a gross violation of basic customer service standards.This appalling experience has left me with emotional distress and significant financial loss. I implore anyone considering the South Shore Hyundai dealership to think twice and explore alternatives. Their disregard for my property and well-being is inexcusable, and I am left with an overwhelming sense of betrayal and anger. Avoid this dealership at all costs!

Took them 3 hours just to change 4 tires, sales person kept trying to get me to buy into additional services. Just do what I requested and leave it at that!The service is absolutely horrendous!Making an appointment is completely useless if changing tires will take them 4 hours.Customers Lounge is decent.I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK HERE!!!

Do not come here !!!I have a brand new Sonata with 3,000 miles, they call me to do a complimentary service which includes oil change, tire rotation and some check ups. After getting a car I noticed that they didn t do a tire rotation but they said they did which is a lie ! I know you dont do a tire rotation in 3,000 mile car but still they lie !After driving a 2-3 day the I had a oil leak, all of the oil was gone. They messed up everything and check engine light with other light was on. So please ppl dont come here, they know anything about cars and they will mess ur car upHorrible experience!!!Do not come here!!!Brand new car is messed up!!!

Made a service appointment online over a week in advance. They call me 24hrs before my appt to tell me theyre over booked and under staffed and couldnt tell me sooner bc they dont check the schedule until the day prior.

Dishonest service advisorsBrough a car in for oil consumption extended warranty. They take my car in, then call me telling me that the car has an existing oil leak so they cannot start the oil consumption test. But stick me with a bill for an oil change anyway. So if they know the car does not qualify for the test, then why perform an oil change.

This dealership took my car in for recalls, 5 days later they called me to tell me that my car was stolen off their lot. I later on received red light tickets for that car that was dated only 24 hours after I dropped my car off to them!! They did not report the car stolen to the police. They have refused to give me information from their liability insurance so that I can put a claim in as my car insurance company refuses to pay for this as Hyundai is liable. I have been stuck paying a car note for a car that I do not even have. I have called numerous times, recently whas told I would be called back in a day and nothing! DO NOT bring your car here for any reason. DO NOT buy a car from them! Go to another dealer!

Be CAREFUL! Karl gave us a price yesterday on a tuscon hybrid limited for lease. We went today to settle on a deal. Karl was not there so we were told to speak to Ralph. Ralph emailed me the sticker so we knew it was correct car. At the end when finalizing the manager came to us and announced he gave us the price of a different car and even though a deal was in the works, he raised it $100 a month. South Shore Hyundai is very sneaky and not reputable.

Made a service appointment with a representative from this service dept in advance. Was given a date and time. Arrived for my appointment and the service rep who met me to check in tells me my appointment is not on the schedule. This was for my first service and a New York State inspection. Since i was not on the schedule the service tech said i could stay but because they are short staffed, it may be 2-3 hours or more before i can be done. I left disgusted and annoyed. I would not recommend this dealership for service.

How hard is it to be a decent person? Apparently it's very hard for these people. They don't truly care about the customer. This was hands-down the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. I thought I was the only person but it seems many other people feel the same way about this place. Scum of the earth work here. It took 2 months of my car being there to tell me they don't want the responsibility of repairing it. Nothing but made-up excuses before that.

Where do I begin. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THE FRIENDLY STAFF TO MISLEAD YOU. I mistakenly put my trust as well as safety in the hands of the employees at this location. And time after time, I have been let down. The carelessness of those responsible for doing maintenance work on the vehicles is sickening. My safety as well as my families safety has been put at risk due to individuals who care more about rushing to the next vehicle rather than ensuring that the vehicles leaving the shop are in good condition.I am very specific with issues or concerns I have with my vehicle, and I am very realistic and understanding that not everything can be caught. But having spoken to other mechanics who have to work on my car a day after I leave hyundai's service department; they inform me that there is no way this could have been missed and hyundai's service employees are more focused with rushing my car along when things are not okay.A car inspection was performed on my car. However, a thorough, systematic, point-to-point check of major aspects of my car structure was not conducted. One day after my inspection was approved, my car continued to experience the issue I addressed and left me and my newborn stranded in the middle of the road because my car shut off as I was driving. I am disappointed, but more than anything, I fear for other who place their care with the service department at Valley Stream because if they can do this to me, it must be happening to others.

Popped my hood today after noticing the car was retaining water and I found a food invoice and rib bones, plus a work glove. Carelessness like this makes me wonder what else they might have neglected. And I'm left concerned about what damage bones in my engine might have done.

Other than the young man (Randy) who greeted me in the service garage, the service was terrible. The service writer was void of any personality and tried to up sell me into ridiculously priced services. Had an appointment for recalls, estimated with 90mins work, which apparently means nothing as they informed me it wouldn't be ready until end of day. Screwed up my plans for staying there and waiting for it to be done and required two rides now. Didn't have an after hour pickup protocol and was expected to be there when they closed at 430pm. I guess they don't accommodate people who work later than 430pm, even when their sales department is open until 8pm. Trying to get it setup up for them to leave the keys with their sales team for an after close pickup was like getting an act of congress. The woman I dealt with couldn't have been more incompetent, but she had the word "no" down pretty good...as in:"no" to every suggestions I made"no" solutions of her own"no" return calls"no" customer service instictsSo there is "No" chance that will returning to this terrible dealership!

My experience with South Shore Hyundai Service was great! I'm a long time customer who is a happy customer. Definitely would recommend them to anyone who drives a Hyundai or would love to drive one.

If I could give it zero stars I would. My mother's navigation system stopped working. It took her three weeks to get an appointment. Then the kept the car for four days, just to tell her they needed to install a new SD card. Two weeks later she went back for the card and they told her it did not work, and she needs a whole new radio system. Three weeks later, they cancelled her new appointment and told her to come back in September. This place is the worst! Never buy a Hyundai!!!Service: Electrical

2019 hyundai ioniq plug in. 19 000 miles. Bought mid april 2023 certified pre owned. Drove 2069 miles. Exhaust falls off.Apparently not covered. 4months for an Exhaust to rot out. Ummm. Fishy. . Great inspection before i bought it. Paid the extra for everything to be covered. Dont do it its a scam.

Its not bad i have a 2019 santa fe been doing oil changes for 45.00 with tax plus free coffe and bagels if you there before 11am lol....coffee is not from strbks but its descent anyway. I am including a pic of how to clean these damn plastic trims on tje hyundai ..they look ugly if not cleaned ..car wash makes them look worse..dont clean at car wash places

So far this place is the worst dealer repair shop I have ever been to. Dropped my car off a week ago and have received one call back in a week. They said they are checking the vehicle and will call me. I have called them straight for a week and have no clue what is happening. Service manager Joe never calls back. Isiah Washington never calls back.My car is basically a hostage there.Tomorrow have to go to work late just to check on the status. Honestly you can't make this up.Hope this helps someone out. Never go to this dealer repair shop. Btw, the repair was due to a factory recall.Be safe!

Absoltely the worst service. Looks like their technicians don't know anything. They completely ruined the car. Absolutely horrific. I would rather go to Atlantic Hyundai in West Islip. I went here because my Tuscon was not accelerating when I press gas and they charged me $800 for servicing without even fixing the problem. The problem is still there. Its a shame that they don't have mechanic to attend the vehicle. There is a transmission problem with only 60k( Under Warranty) miles on the vehicle. My livelihood depends on this vehicle but it's unfortunate they don't have enough mechanic and will have to wait for a weeks for vehicle to get fixed.

Do not take your car here. Took mu car to them and said there was a problem. They kept it for days and came back saying it was the transmission. 4K later we have them do the work. Once we get the car back we notice that there is still something wrong and the left side shorted out electrically. We take it back and they say, opps we did not connect a wire and that just the battery needs replacement. We replace the battery, receive the car back and yet the problem persists. Now they call us saying that it needs a new engine that is worth 10k but that they will see what they can do about the price. Problem is, had I known it was more than 5k worth of problems I would have not had them fix it. Instead I spent 4 k and now they want more and I have no choice because now I m already invested. This is not the first time we have had issues with this place. Buyer beware, they just want to ale your money. Do not waste your money on so much incompetence.

Won't be returning to this location for service (Thanks Hunter!). Not only was I 30 minutes late for work, my questions were never answered. I did not receive a rundown or follow-up, in other words, details about my car like I would in Virginia. I only wanted to know WHY the radio shut off during my drive and WHY the car didn't start when I turned the key in the ignition. POSSIBLY my battery was changed in the remote, I don't know for sure. 2 stars because the gentleman in the garage where you'd pull up acknowledged me and did a car battery test (although I told him it was new as of July/Aug). He stated that it was very good, doh! Maybe his hood got in the way of my words that were uttered just moments before. Anyway, not the worst experience, but felt like there wasn't much care either. Hopefully, my car won't shut off in the parking lot at work again or in the middle of the highway (L.I.E) getting there. Thanks.

I bought a car from here less than 2 years ago and the engine failed. Luckily, it was still under warranty. However, I was later informed I had to pay $767 for maintenance of belt fuel injectors etc. Despite the fact these things were all related to the engine failure. When I told them I would take it to my mechanic I was advised it needed to get done there. Ian and Anthony were extremely unhelpful and couldn't care less. This place just wants to shake you down for money. They are complete rip offs. I will never do business here again let alone buy another Hundai, its a terrible car.Service: Engine repair

They misdiagnosed my cars problem. Made me pay for and order parts that weren't needed totaling $550.00 dollars, plus the $150.00 for misdiagnosing the problem. Called 10 Minutes later to cancel parts. Was told they couldn't cancel them. Told them I would dispute the charges on my account. Their reply was you gotta do what you gotta do. I called my credit card company and disputed the charges. Called back and asked to speak with service manager. Was told he would call me back. Never heard from him. My advice is to steer clear and as far away from this dealership / service dept as far as possible. Also filed a complaint against them with consumer affairs.What a bunch of disgraceful human beings they have working here .

Amazing. Peter is the best. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I switched from Altantic Hyundai to South Shore Hyundai because of his top notch customer service. He went above and beyond and answered all of my questions. I waited at the dealership for my vehicle and he kept me updated throughout my time there. Very minimal wait time and I am always extremely satisfied with my experience here.Services: Tires, Tire rotations, Oil change
