The folks who performed my oil change were quick, efficient, and communicated all the charges I was going to have before adding them to my tab. Radiator fluid was not something I d ever been made aware of and apparently mine was like a dark sludge that was clogging up my system (I ve had the car for almost 7 years and it hasn t been changed). They explained the purpose of this fluid, the benefits of replacing it, and showed me the old versus new fluid to show that it really was old and needed swapping out. I immediately noticed that my heaters were pushing out much warmer air, which will be very nice for the next couple of months. My car also sounded quieter than it had in some time. They swapped out my back wiper as well for a couple extra bucks. Will definitely be going back and appreciate their friendly service!

Love that you get to stay seated in your car AND they call out all the maintenance they are preforming so not only can you SEE what they are doing you can HEAR it too. If your not glued to your cell phone that is. The workers here are very Knowledgeable and Friendly!P.s. they also preform New York State inspections!

I went to valvoline for an oil change And then all of a sudden, they say will, we don't have the kind of oil that goes in your car so I said. OK so what do I do now? I said? Did you guys already taken the oil out? Did you start draining it? They said no, so I left and went to another Valvoline. The same thing they didn't have my oil. Now it's 5W20I don't understand how an oil Changing place doesn't have that oil but whatever but I asked him. I said you didn't drain anything and they said no. But something told me to check my oil when I was empty. Thank God I checked it. That was my experience with Valvoline.

A woefully careless and unprofessional staff. The first time I went here (a few weeks ago) was for an oil change, which itself was fine enough, until I got home and discovered that they had forgotten to replace one of the caps on my tire valve stem. Obviously, that s a small thing but still annoying and a symptom of carelessness.Then, this past Friday, I stopped in to schedule a vehicle inspection. Later that day, I got a call back to reschedule because they had scheduled me (and apparently several other people) for Memorial Day (for which they were closed). We rescheduled for Tuesday at 9 (today).I showed up a little before 9 today, only to be informed that they had no inspector on-site and inspections wouldn t start until 10. This, despite the fact that I was told by the person who called me that they could do the inspection at 9 AND that my name and number were printed right on their schedule at 9.The staff was incredibly rude and made no effort to apologize or take responsibility for the mistake of their business.As I type this, I m at a Jiffy Lube in Latham that is 100% more friendly and professional not to mention can get inspections in same-day.Every Jiffy Lube location I ve ever been to has always been fantastic. I should ve never made the mistake of going elsewhere for the sake of a more convenient location.

As someone who:1) doesn't know jack about cars2) gets very nervous with going to new places3) hates looking like an idiot,the professionals at this Valvoline location are FANTASTIC! I drove up outside the location and a friendly face walked over and asked what I was looking for help with. He then guided me into the bay and kindly explained everything to me. I wasn't pressured into getting any extra services that I didn't need, I wasn't expected to know when to turn the car on and off, and I was gently reminded to turn the lights off to conserve battery. Nobody gave me a hard time for having waited longer than I should have to get my oil changed, which is something I was worried about. The experience overall was great and I recommend these great guys 100%

A pleasure to see the energetic and enthusiastic employees here. I brought my car in for an oil change as I'd done with my previous vehicles, and the work was performed adequately and quickly. The staff seemed knowledgeable and was courteous.

Bill is excellent! He was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. I went with a flat tire asking to buy air. He saw me from the road, waited for me to pull in, took me immediately & filled the tire then offered to fill all of them for me. When I asked the price of service, he said we don t charge for air, we breathe it every day! How awesome for a worker to be joyful even in the freezing cold working. You can tell he takes pride in his job. Very nice to experience!Excellent customer service! Highly recommended!

I just stopped in to get air for my tires. They were very courteous, pulled my car inside, checked the inside of the door for instructions for pressure. Topped off all four tires, and cleaned the pine needles out of the vents on top of my hood. There was absolutely no charge.. I've gone there before, for inspection and oil changes. Note, you'll need to make an appointment for those services because of CoViD. Nice crew over there! I'll be back for an oil change soon!

Normally change my own oil so I was a bit nervous about quick stop places like this. But Nevin and the team were awesome. Notified me of all work while they were doing it and asked along each step of the process (even trying to evenly center my inspection sticker incase I had OCD loll). Got my oil changed, air filter changed, and an inspection out in an hour and roughly $100. Not bad in my opinion. Highly recommend these guys if you re in a pinch like I was!

I was impressed with this business. They were SO busy, yet the young man assisting the customers kept his cool, was able to direct the traffic well, was friendly, energetic, professional, and did not flinch when I asked him to please move my car into the bay because I was nervous about the close quarters. I really, really appreciate that!Service: Oil change

Got my oil changed, they checked my tire pressure and never put the caps back on, (the passenger side) didn't realize till I got home, check them before you leave.

This place is terrible!! I made a appointment for 5/22/21 11 am At the troy Valvoline for a ny state inspection on my wife's car. I took time off of work to be there when I arrived I was told that they couldn't do the inspection because the manager got hurt and could not be there and they should have called me but they didn't. So because I already had an appointment I feel they should have scheduled me on the next business day. He became VERY RUDE and told me it would be two weeks before they could do it. the inspection runs out in one Week I had an Appointment nobody called to advise me they couldn't do it and on top of that they were rude and making me wait two weeks for an appointment is just plain wrong being I already had one. I have been going here for years for oil changes etc but not anymore and I will be sure let everyone know of the way customers are treated. VERY BAD Business practice !

The Customer service is Awesome!I Have always Got An oil change on A Ford Freestyle here,Always a Reasonable PriceI took my Ford Escape for oil change,1st Time @Valvoline Since owning vehicle yesterday Never asked my name so previous owner name on the car &PaperworkIt was 102.00 it only came down to 86.00 after coupon was scannedwhat kind of Premium platinum Deluxe oil change did I get?Never Again I'll Go back to Dealership for same oil change, Reasonably priced

Took my car in for an oil change. It cost me $112 to have the oil changed on my 2009 Honda Fit. Every time I've had my oil changed at the Honda dealership it's never been more than $70. I thought I Valvoline offered good deals but it seems to be the opposite.

I pulled in knowing that being the first week of the new year that a majority of places would be slammed, I pulled up and an employee came out and told me it s be maybe an hour wait because at the time all the bays were in use. I graciously said I d wait even though I had work. About 20 mins later the same employee, I believe his name was Jack, told me to bring my car towards the bay door but then to park it by the entrance door to the waiting area and in the meanwhile I would say between 6-8 cars that didn t have an appointment either were taken before me and as if I didn t exist just walked passed me and worked on other vehicles. Again I personally understand that garages are busy especially with it being the first week of the new year but no updates, no acknowledgement of my car sitting there I got fed up and left. I do not recommend going there for anything which is sad because you wanna see business flourish but with this customer service it s tough.

I was treated well during my oil change and everything was done professionally. Unfortunately, my oil is now leaking, after I've already added more oil on my own. My tire caps were not screwed on all the way and I lost two of them on the road which I then had to go buy. I do not believe that they finish their duties well. Waste of money and I now have to get their work fixed at my dealership.

I have used this Valvoline for years, today I went and got a full synthetic oil change and the young man that took me in talked to me, and took my payment was what I can t even describe as rude. His name on his shirt said Naquan Manager. He could not explain anything to me, was so short with me he basically acted like he had better things to do and somewhere better to be and I was inconveniencing him. At the end he handed the sticker to me that goes on the inside of windshield and did not say one word not thank you, have a nice day, happy holidays nothing. I ve never had this problem here before and he definitely made me not want to come back!!!Service: Oil change

I would like to say to the owner, manager or Valvoline who ever is running this particular business need to hire more people. I stopped in this establishment recently and it was only two employees working they was doing the best the could to keep up with the cars coming but it was to overwhelming for the staff. They handled the cars to the best speed. So the issue was with my car I have an older car and it was giving the employee a little trouble and he was so back up now with cars, the employee worked diligent to accommodate me and thinking about all these other cars. Please give the gentleman a team that he can lead more than 3 people!! We are heading to stage 4 or in stage 4 that means more cars on the road. More oil changes inspection and all.

Last time I was here they didn t close my hood all the way. Today I spent over $100 just to get home and realize one of my tire valve caps were missing. I checked the rest of them and they were barely even on, I could ve lost all of them! They were barely screwed on. I had to completely tighten all three that didn t fall off. Now it s just an inconvenience because I have to go buy more so I don t continue to lose air from my tire! Annoying! I ll go somewhere else from now on. I took this 21.99 oil change coupon for an oil change. They told me I had to do a synthetic oil change which did not qualify this coupon. It was my first time doing oil change, I did not know all those types at all. The cost is nearly 80 which is higher than the dealership's price 62(including free car wash). I said I do not want to do it here since I could get a much better deal at the dealership. I apologized for that, however that guy still got really mad and said "you are really wasting my time", " thank you for wasting my time!" in a terrible tone. They kept me waiting 40 minutes for this oil change and I just took them 2 minutes. They have the RUDEST ALTITUDE I have ever seen. Your time has absolutely NO VALUE to them. I would NEVER EVER go there and ask ALL my friends to AVOID this place.

Usually fast service, nice employees. EDIT: During a later experience they closed the hood onto the oil filter wrench denting the underside. Brought it back once i saw hood was crooked. They didn t seem like it was a big deal- haven't been back

I came in for an oil change. My ignition switch was damaged at the time due to an electrical problem, so the starter would keep going whenever it was in park with the keys in the on position. This also made a loud and awful screeching noise.These guys took it upon themselves to try and fix it, thinking it was an issue with a belt. Ignoring the noise, they let the starter screech for minutes at a time and completely fried id and my vehicle had to be towed. I had warned them of this issue and asked them not to leave it.Over 800 dollars of damage. The electrical issue took 15 minutes to fix but the fried starter is what cost me 800 dollars.I called them to ask for some money buy they said the prior damage absolved them of responsibility.Never go here. Go to Monro down the street.

Have been going here for a couple years for oil changes. Guys are always very friendly, check in with me for every step of the process, never pushy or try to upsell me. Sometimes a bit of a wait, but great service
