Never had a problem with this company until recently. I ordered propane, had it delivered. Bill came a week later, higher than what was on the ticket. I called and asked about it, was told the ticket had the wrong price on it. Now I understand mistakes happen but I had an issue with paying more than what I was ticketed. Not saying they would but how was I to know they didn't raise the price on the bill just because? I truly felt like I was punished because their driver messed up. When I told this to them, i was pretty much told pay it or they will come take back their tanks. Its the middle of winter with a snow storm going on. So that's how they handle disputes, by threatening their customers? Needless to say they have lost a customer and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.

For 3 years we have had the best service and personal care from Mountain Propane. When we moved to the area, the service provider (another large gas company in the area) left us without service during one of the coldest days of that year. And we'd run out of propane because they hadn't filled us up enough.We called Mountain Propane and they had someone out to give us whatever was available in a truck nearby and since then have always provided wonderful service.

This place is absolutely despicable.Run by Craig and Barbra Bates, white trash extraordinaire.DO NOT do business with them:They will LIE to you, CHEAT you, then attempt to strong arm you.Stand against their collective bulls**t, and keep your dignity intact by going somewhere else.

Always good service. I thought I had no fuel and they sent a truck right away and the driver tried to help me with the problem.

Bad prices worst service and a sneaky snake in the grass for an owner. Worst in the Catskills. I do not recommend!
