Our stay at Hotel Mountain Brook was nothing short of wonderful. My husband and I just wanted a quick relaxing getaway. We were able to bring our dog which was a plus. The rooms were cozy with their own gas fireplace. It unfortunately was cold the weekend we went but the rooms were always great with the heat. Free breakfast was amazing. It s only one hot food option however each day it was a different dish and they tasted amazing. The lounge had games, books, DVDs with a coffee and tea bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel because it had everything we needed for a quick getaway.

I was very surprised at how nice the rooms were, since the outside needs a little work. We were in the superior rooms and we loved them. The beds were so comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They gave us ideas for restaurants and places to go. Since we were there during off season. The breakfast was amazing, one hot food option a day, one day was French toast and the other day ham and egg sandwiches made to order, they were delicious, they also had cereal, yogurt, fruit etc. They had a fire going on in the evening and we were able to make smores, which my granddaughter loved. They had a small game room with snacks out all the time with coffee, soda and water Would definitely recommend coming here.Rooms: Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable

The lodge is such a beautiful place to stay and they really thought of everything. Even down to the smell of the lobby and the water jugs you could take to your room to have filtered water. Free snacks, great breakfast and a fire place. The DVD nostalgia was a nice touch. I loved that we could bring our dog and he was welcomed onto the property. This stay was so lovely and we would absolutely come again.

Recommending Hotel Mountain Brook as it s close to all the attractions and being a pet-friendly place is a big plus! The staff has been really friendly and accommodating. Though the walls are thin as you can hear your neighbors next door, the room is really cozy (we booked premium east lodge room). Wouldn t mind coming back and try the superior room next time.

This was one of - if not THE - best hotels i have ever stayed in! The staff was so welcoming and sweet and were always around to help or answer questions. The rooms were SO cute, the beds were SO comfy and the choose your own adventure game room is AMAZING!!! We didn't want to leave! They really make you feel at home here. Also the complimentary breakfast is a REAL breakfast made by a chef! I have a gluten allergy and they were extremely careful and accommodating. I could have cried i was so happy. It's definitely a little pricey but it is seriously so worth it for the experience you get. We literally barely left the hotel to go do things because everything we needed was right there in the hotel! We will 100% be back :,) It's honestly a magical place. We stayed in the standard room and at first thought it seemed a bit tight but it was actually so cozy and the perfect size. And they gave us a complimentary candle and mug !!!Stay Here!!! You will not regret it <3Rooms: Even their standard room is beautiful !Food & drinks: The complimentary breakfast is freshly made to order by a chef!

So Thankful for Hotel Mountain Brook- can't wait to return!Review of Mountain BrookPending reviewI truly don't have enough good things to say about Hotel Mountain Brook! I stayed for 2 nights over Thanksgiving and was absolutely blown away by the cozy, charming, absolutely idyll inn. The hotel itself is spotless, the staff could not be more friendly and welcoming, and the amenities and little touches are endless! We loved the game room, the complimentary snacks, and the DVD collection where you could pick out a film to take to your room each night. The rooms are homey, yet upscale, and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and restaurant quality- French toast, breakfast sandwiches, amazing pastries. The staff went above and beyond to make recommendations in the area and accommodate every need of the guests. After a Thanksgiving hike (Kaaterskill Falls is only a 10 minute drive, but there are many others in the area), we relaxed with Scrabble and a glass of wine, enjoyed the multiple fire pits, and went for a walk around the grounds before dinner at Julia's local (around 20 minute drive away). The night we arrived we walked into town (5 minute walk) for dinner at Pancho Villa. The whole trip we talked about our next visit! Thanks so much Hotel Mountain Brook for making this a home away from home on Thanksgiving!Rooms: So clean! Homey and comfortable, yet upscale. The shower had great water pressure and stayed HOT! Important after chilly winter hikes.Nearby activities: We loved Pancho Villa for dinner on the Wednesday evening before Thankgiving- most things were closed because of the holiday but very cute downtown! Lots of hikes in the area and only a 30 minute drive to Woodstock.

We stayed here for our 4yr. Anniversary. It was everything we hoped it would be. The ambience is romantic, cozy ,peaceful. They have fireplaces in the main lobby and outside . There is a jetted tub and fireplace in the room. The breakfast was delicious met and spoke to one of the owners then. They were very welcoming and hospitable. The staff is nice . I like that they have old movies you can take to your room and games u can play. We will definitely go back again.

We stayed at Hotel Mountain Brook this past June for our 1 year anniversary. The staff was very welcoming and attentive and made our celebratory weekend that much more special. The room was very clean and spacious. The grounds were beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the fire pit outside which was prepared for us by staff. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and was included with the stay. It was all around a wonderful stay and we will be back.

Very nice hotel, had everything we needed for a quiet but active (great hiking options nearby in addition to skiing) family stay. The rooms are nice, comfortable and well designed. The breakfast was amazing. Game room is also another great feature, we found so many things we can do together to relax and pass time in between hikes. The staff is very attentive and the hotel has everything you would need (one such example is the water filter in the game room, we loved being able to refill our bottles).Special shout out to LeAnn, as she made us feel very welcome, and took great care of the hotel guests on the Thanksgiving day!

This hotel really overdelivered in what it offers, it's the ambiance and vibe that really does it. It felt like the best mixture of the care and thoughtfulness of being in someone's home along with all the standards and professionalism from a chain hotel.I almost don't want to tell anyone because I'd love to go back to just relax.Went just as a place to stay the night before skiing, but the hotel was a great place to start everything on a perfect trip. Felt like it was a secret treasure.Hope it stays at this level!

Hotel Mountain Brook in Tannersville, NY provided us with the perfect setting for a romantic weekend getaway. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions that deterred our hiking plans, the hotel made up for it with its warm and welcoming staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and a friendly smile. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any requests made us feel truly valued as guests. The rooms at Hotel Mountain Brook were clean and well-maintained. The combination of a ski lodge, hotel, and bed and breakfast created a unique and cozy atmosphere. We appreciated the attention to detail in the room decor, which added to the overall charm of the hotel.Although we couldn't explore the nearby hiking trails due to the weather, the picturesque backdrop of Tannersville during our stay was more than enough to create a romantic ambiance. The hotel's location amidst nature's beauty provided us with the tranquility and serenity we were seeking.Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Hotel Mountain Brook and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. The warm and friendly staff, clean rooms, and the perfect blend of ski lodge, hotel, and bed and breakfast make it a top choice in Tannersville, NY. We look forward to returning in the future.

Way beyond what we expected! From the moment we arrived we felt instantly charmed and nostalgic. Every detail was met, from the cozy breakfast to the gas burning fireplace in our room. There was no limit to snacks, games, and cozy spaces to kick back in the main lodge. The staff even suggested a local florist prior to our visit, and delivered flowers to our room on our anniversary. Book this place you ll remember it forever.Rooms: Despite being 8 degrees outside, our room was quickly warmed by the gas fireplace, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with luxurious sheets and pillows. The only down side was the lack of closet storage and places for muddy wet boots. I recommend taking off wet items right away to avoid salty tracks through the entire room.Nearby activities: The hotel is conveniently located in the center of everything walkable to downtown Tannersville, a 30 min. drive from Hunter Mountain, and south of the restaurant we made reservations for, The Deer Mountain Inn.Walkability: Downtown Tannersville is a quick 5 minute walk from the hotel, approx .2 miles.Food & drinks: The most wonderful breakfast spread! Definitely opt for the hot breakfast offering.Noteworthy details: The staff goes above and beyond to make the grounds safe during winter. Our entire stay the paths were sanded and rock salted in the early morning, and at night beautiful string lights illuminate all the paths and parking area. One detail I was impressed by was the land acknowledgment plaque at multiple places on the grounds. As a NYC park designer this warmed my heart.

My partner and I were looking for a quintessential New England fall trip for our anniversary weekend. Hotel Mountain Brook did not disappoint. The hotel gives a perfect blend of that rustic mountain feel mixed with retro modern amenities. We brought our dog so we stayed in the pet friendly Premium East Lodge Room and it was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and sitting by the fire at night with the dog, a local beer, and other guests was very relaxing. The smores kits were a nice added touch. There are so many hiking options nearby and the iconic Kaaterskill falls is a short drive from the hotel. Plenty of options for dining or cocktails in Tannersville and the next town over, Hunter, which was only about 8-10 mins away. Shout out to Jen and Nicole who were so friendly and provided great service and recommendations. The younger girl who served breakfast was also amazing, but we didn't catch her name. Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return!

My family and I have been to Hotel Mountain Brook many times in the past couple of years, both in the winter and the summer. We have had nothing but positive experiences each time. The hosts, Sandra and Ryan, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They have made us feel like part of the family every time we have stayed. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. We love the delicious breakfasts that are served each morning. There is always a variety of options to choose from, and everything is made fresh to order. We also enjoy sitting on the front porch with the beautiful mountain view, making s'mores by the campfire at night, and playing games in the lounge area and outside. We have met so many other lovely people visiting the area sharing stories of our experiences.Hotel Mountain Brook is a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Catskills. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

Just came back from a fantastic stay at Hotel Mountain Brook. My husband and I loved how close it was to the popular hiking trails. The view of the mountains from the hotel was lovely. Close to arboretum as well.Food & drinks: Breakfast cannot be missed. In addition to staple breakfast items (i.e. cereal, yogurt, muffins, coffee and tea) they had hot breakfast prepared to order.

Hotel Mountain Brook is the perfect stay for a relaxing mountain getaway. They are located a short walk away from the main street in Tannersville, where there are great restaurants and shops to explore. The grounds at the hotel are beautiful and there is always something fun to do or explore from the fires for s'mores making to admiring the towering trees. The common rooms are trendy and cool where you can relax and play one of the many games they provide or have some free snacks or borrow some DVD's to watch in your room. Breakfast was delicious and easy and the staff are some of the friendliest people around. The rooms are nicely decorated and have very comfortable beds and bedding (that blanket was so soft!) and the fireplaces in each room are a nice romantic touch!I highly recommend Hotel Mountain Brook. Can't wait to return.

Our first time at Hotel Mountain Brook. We were looking for a quaint, cozy Hotel in the Catskills where we can go from time to time to just 'kick back." The place is as comfortable and welcoming as we hoped. We will be back.I gave them 5***** s with one caveat which I will explain later. The staff is warm and friendly.(all of the time.) You are genuinely welcomeit was November so we spent time indoors and outdoors. The Library with its fireplace and snacks is comfortable and welcoming. DVDs are provided for your in room movies. We would go into the breakfast dining area which is more like a living room for drinks later in the day before dinner. Some great local beers. Cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Tensions melt away. Our room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. At 3:00 each day two fires are lighted outside. The one in front of the hotel has great views of the mountains. Both are great for making S'mores. All materials found in the lobby. The porches are well laid out with individual comfortable seating or in living room style grouping's.Breakfast is a treat. Various items to select including a special item each day. The omelettes were superb and the French toast with bacon a real treat. I also had the locally sourced yogurt with fresh fruit. It was Delicious. Much of the produce is locally sourced and is wonderful. We like hiking. Usually once in the morning and then in the afternoon. There are plenty of trails within very short rides. Here is where I took a Star away. In reading the information on the Hotel site which says:'Take a midday nap in our wildflower field. We have acres of mountain land with incredible views" and "travel up our road to the Mountain Top Arboretum."We were under the impression that there was hiking on their acres of land. There is none. The Arboretum is two miles up a public road Hill Street not Their road. While I was not looking to take a nap in the field of wildflowers I did not see one at the Hotel. The Arboretum has a great field for wildflowers.Once we realized that our impressions of the above were mistaken we adjusted our activities and had an enjoyable time. As I said just what we were looking for. A place we can go to whenever we want to kick back and enjoy a friendly comfortable environment with a variety of nearby activities.Lots of skiing in winter . We could see snow on some of the Hunter Mountain trails on November 13th.Just a note of caution if you go in November. Monday to Wednesday.Tannersville pulls in the sidewalks at night and there are very few dine in options available. We found only one.Thursday to Sunday no problem. However we did get take out which you are welcome to eat in the Hotel dining area.We do a lot of traveling all over the USA and overseas. The Hotel Mountain Brook is a winner for a welcoming, friendly comfortable environment to take a break in the beautiful Catskills.

We had an amazing time at this rustic yet luxury inn nestled in the mountains. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed on the first floor of the main lodge. This was important to us. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times from the moment we arrived. Thank you, Sandra and Ryan, for the hospitality. Breakfast was outstanding and the location was perfect for exploring the area and enjoying the views. We especially enjoyed mingling with other guests on the porch and in the evening at the fire pit. It had the feel of a quaint bed and breakfast with the amenities of a small hotel. We will definitely return!

This was our second time to Hotel Mountain Brook and it was just as amazing as our first time! Our family stayed in the Three-Bedroom Suite which was very clean, comfy and roomy. We also booked one of the Superior Rooms as our daughter was traveling with her dog. They were so welcoming to him as well. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The beds were so comfortable and the suite was delightful. Our daughter enjoyed her room as well and said it was very comfortable and inviting. We will definitely be back!!

Great snacks were also a draw.Fire pit and s mores that night was wonderful. Breakfast both days was delicious and so well executed. We were so sad to leave, but look forward to coming back soon. Definitely a 5 star experience all around!!Rooms: Our room was small, yet cozy and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable.
