Absolute the worst Uhaul experience ever! I picked up the truck and it only had 1/4 tank of fuel exactly with dash showing 47 miles to empty. I drove a total of 21 miles and filled the truck up before I returned ($13.08) worth, returning the truck 30 minutes early with more than 1/4 tank and the dash showing 70 miles to empty. So I returned the vehicle with MORE fuel then when I picked it up and this location had the audacity to charge me $8.08 for fuel! I called and told I would have to come in and show proof of the fuel level and mileage before they could refund me, so I did and I was never refunded. I went down there twice with proof and walked out no refund even though they said they would since my pictures proved I was correct. Absolute crooks run this location. Also the truck was disgusting inside and out. AVOID THIS UHAUL LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Tammy (Owner), and Dominique as agents for this location made my move a seamless, easy experience. I am so impressed with how well operated the Erie Boulevard, Syracuse location is. It s like watching a well oiled service operation before one s eyes, a well managed and beautifully run business. It s obvious a lot of effort goes into serving customers so seamlessly and with such care to efficiency in customer service and quality of the services and products offered. I was checked in in no time and Tammy on my second visit and rental and Dominique on my first visit and rental both within a week s time were welcoming and professional, and made me feel like I was special, like family or a special customer. The people in front of me were treated the same way. And they operate under such an extraordinarily effective business model, everything works like clockwork. Check in and reservations or special needs are accommodated at an excellent pace and with obvious care, empathy , and compassion. The professionalism they show at this location is matched by the quality and condition of the equipment they provide and goods and supplies they sell. I recommend this location highly and without any reservation. It is a wonderful place to do business with and is a great face and model for U-Haul Regional and National. Richard S. I picked up my truck and I dropped off my Vespa or motorbike and someone stole it from their property which was on camera at 12:00 midnight. So when I came the next day it was gone. Don't leave your vehicles overnight there. However, I did happen to bring my truck back a day late and he didn't charge me a late fee because of what had happened so that was kind of cool

I picked up a truck at the Erie Blvd location. It was very efficient.Tammy, the front desk gal is very friendly and helpful with great suggestions.

Sold my daughter a storage room after she said she needed it that day, after completing the purchase they informed her she could not use it that day because the elevator is turned off at 4:30pm even though the place closes at 5pm and they could not provide a refund until the next day because the guy didn't know how and the manager on the phone with him said she would do it the next day. The refund was never issued, my daughter had to go through her bank to cancel the charges because after 2 days UHaul never even started the refund. The bank is now investigating UHaul at this location because my daughter isn't the first to have problems with refunds and multiple charges.

The staff had me in and out during pick up and drop off. No lengthy processes at all. Very kind as well since I ended up unintentionally leaving an expensive dolly inside the truck upon returning it. The woman working called me and told me and held it until i returned.

The best thing about this place is the Staff, both days the staff were super helpful and informative. But the building is old and not secured properly I can definitely see an issue with spiders, pests etc. only way to move is through one elevator, that everyone shares if someone is using it, pray you re not tight on time. Again staff was wonderful, building not quite.

I went to this property on Friday afternoon, the owner Tammy Wilbur was very nasty and rude to me...Don't ever go to this place for services!!! The other two associates were very nice and respectful when I came in on Sunday afternoon

Be ready to climb 6 flights of stairs in suffocating isolated heat! They tell you the elevator is available but absolutely never is. At one point the guy working said "someone was using it" but clearly the elevator was on the ground floor and the door was just locked. I witnessed some poor kids taking a bed down the entire 6 floors. Tammy the manager is simple rude...

Great quick pick up. Return was slow, gentleman working the counter said it would be a while because I wanted a printed receipt. Waited and lady ended up helping me. Walked outside and guy who waited on me was cleaning truck. Not sure how long I would've waited if lady didn't help me.

The lady had a bit of an attitude. And when I went to drop off the U-Haul I asked for a storage unit big enough for a 1- 2 bedroom apartment and the storage unit I got was small. My stuff barely fit in it at all. Payed 133 dollars for a storage unit that was supposed to be free with truck rental just to be too small.

Positive experience overall. We hadn't used the facility before, but aside from an ancient and temperamental freight elevator (which we finally got the hang of), our experience went smoothly. Tammy and the rest of the staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. I've read elsewhere in the comments about long waits to move stuff in and out, and with a single slow-moving elevator, I can see how this can happen. That was not our experience, however. We were there at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday and had the place pretty much to ourselves.

I just closed a storage unit I had with them for 3 months. They only have 1 elevator that is single use so you sometimes wait 30+ mins for your turn. Staff are rude and not helpful. I was late paying once, paid them, returned 4 days later to access my things and they hadn't removed their lock from my late pay. I used their phone system and called down to the office and they said they would come up in a minute. They came an hr and 10 mins later. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

So I am writing this review exclusively about one of their employees, Justin. He is the best employee in New York, maybe even the entire US. Had to return a trailer, something was going wrong, exhausted after a 48hr drive and was on the phone with customer service, when this angel of a man showed up. He fixed everything in less than 10 minutes, gave us a fist bump, a pizza recomendation (by the way, Justin, if youre reading this, the chicken bacon ranch one was delicious) and welcomed us to Syracuse. Oh, and did I mention we were trying to do all of this AFTER the store was already closed???? He just so happened to be there, working extra hours. WHO IS THIS MAN?!?! Amazing, 6/5 stars. Best customer service I ever had.

The staff was fine - some nice, others quite incompetent, but this facility is shady to say the least (think: horror-movie-caliber abandoned doll factory sectioned-off to make rooms onto which you can slap locks).The facility is also rather poorly kept. It's an old building that's in disarray, is obviously never cleaned, has degrading wood beam floors that are patched with sheets of metal that are bolted down to cover goodness-knows-what and when I came to close out my storage unit account, there I found a heap of dead vermin and bugs covering a sticky pad literally right outside of my storage unit door (it had obviously been there a while, but honestly if you're catching FULL sized rodents, pick the thing up instead of leaving it out for customers to see!). Considering all of these things, the monthly cost of a standard 10' storage unit was absolutely not value-priced to reflect these things. In the end, I stored my personal items here for a few months and retrieved them without issue, so I do have to give them at least that much credit since, at the end of the day, that's all you truly need out of a storage space. Basically, it did the trick, but I'd never come back and you should know what you're getting into.

That service was good ...the people that work in the back of the store where very helpful. The front desk lady that give me the key was nice..The only thing i didnt like "which was my mistake "was i end up paying for two rents for being 2hours late i rented the truck for 4hours and it took me 6 hours to move and when i returned the truck i was charged another day for keeping the truck 2 hours over

A no-nonsense place to rent a truck and get moving supplies. People were nice, and the truck worked, but we only rented a truck for a couple of hours. Basically, we didn't interact with them enough to review their service beyond saying that everything we expected to happen did happen.

I have nothing against this specific location, but be warned - it's pretty much impossible to contact a person at any specific U-Haul store since every phone number just goes to their call center. Absolutely terrible system.

Made my reservation here before checking all these bad reviews so I had low expectations. Had a reservation for a van, was there even though I showed up early. Lady was nice. Can was clean. No issues.

Thanks for the worst moving experience ever. Katrina, the horrible portly woman who works with u-boxes, is the rudest and most incompetent person I've ever had to deal with. And Ralph is also completely useless and never answers his phone once he realizes that he's made a mistake. I had to waste hours trying to fix their mistakes. I was forced to get all their mistakes resolved at another location. It took me weeks!

Frequently long lines and slow service. This is based off of maybe half a dozen times here. Once the line was so long (about 7 people, with 1 person working)-- i decided to drive across town to a different Uhaul that had no line.In fact, it might not seem as bad if not contrasted by the fact that every other Uhaul Ive been to seems to have basically no line ever...

I have nothing but praise. Truck was reserved, and clean, and the people were friendly and very helpful. I am sure previous low ratings were for previous management over a year ago. Keep up the great work

I would NEVER use this facility again!!! They are a bunch of thieves. You pay for your belongings to be safeguarded ( you even pay for insurance) but all you get is your things destroyed and or stolen. Mike Streeter oversees this facility is the biggest crook of them all! The facility is nasty, it stinks, and all you are doing is paying for staff to have unauthorized access to your belongings. I guess they feel as if they can help themselves to your things! Don't waste the money or your belongings. If i could, i would rate this nasty thieving ass facility a negative zero!!!!

Well staff there was rude for starters. Then they over charged me for the rental. Which they didn't want to hear it. So I'll be taking it up with my credit card.

Great place when you need a TRUCK in a JAM!! Very AFFORDABLE except for the MILEAGE!! $1.00 per MILE adds up QUICKLY! But If you are using it LOCALLY it is a Good deal!!
