I was looking for a new car repair garage since I moved from the area I previously lived. I passed by John's Auto Care every day coming home from work and finally decided to give them a try. I am very happy with everything this garage has to offer. From the very pleasant and helpful staff to the cost of what needed to be done to my vehicle. Overall experience A+. If you live in the Solvay/Camillus or surrounding areas and need excellent service for your car, I highly suggest John's Auto Care.

Professional staff and the mechanics are top notch. They explained all that needed to be done and why. Told me up front the cost , no extra hidden fees. They even gave me a ride home so I didn't have to wait in the shop. It's so great to have a shop that cares about you and your vehicle. Definitely will get my vehicle serviced only by them and recommend them to everybody else also.

Only place I ll bring my BMW M4. Matt Halliwell and the crew over at John s deserve all the high end cars they can get. With the best machines and equipment, I ll pick John s everytime.

After a month of driving my truck around after having a heater core and evaporator replacement. I can hear plastic behind my dash moving around. I was also told I m getting a new dash piece but it s missing a piece. I was told it had a coolant flush and new coolant put back in green. It s still my orange I put in. This is not the first time this shop has done this. Will not be coming back.

Absolutely amazing service. All of the staff were informative, welcoming, and accommodating. The work was done quickly neatly and we were involved every step of the way. This was our first time at John's. We will never go anywhere else. Thanks to everyone there.

They used to be good but not now. We brought our vehicle there for inspection. It failed inspection due to some rusted parts. We were quoted $2800 to fix it, which we declined. We thought how can two small rusted parts cost that much to repair?We later had the job done at the dealer. Total $220. Parts were only $100 plus labor to install parts, and inspection. Shameful!

I was more than happy with John s work. I found myself in a family emergency and while trying to get to the location, I was upset and took a turn incorrectly, leaving me with 3 flat tires and other related damage. I had the car towed to John s and they fixed it quickly and their price was more than reasonable. I am now a fan of John s and would highly recommend them.

My experiences at John's Auto Care have always been excellent! Everyone is very professional, trustworthy, and friendly and the work is impeccable! We have been fortunate to have our vehicles serviced at John's for several years and plan to continue for many years. Highly recommend their business!

I brought my car in for an oil change and to get checked out before my trip. I was given detailed analysis of my car s status, along with suggestions for what should and shouldn t be done. John s is always transparent about what s necessary and what s not, and I always trust their service and expertise.

John s takes the time to listen to why my truck is there. I m happy to talk directly with my mechanic, Bill! He always follows up with me in case more needs to be done. I m very happy with their service. I recommend John s to anyone who asks!

John s Auto is great place to get your vehicle worked on. I ve been going to them for years. They got me in on short notice. They got the repairs done quickly and I had my truck back same day. My favorite place to get my car worked on. It s family-owned and you can tell the folks actually care about you and your car. You ll get honest recommendations with quality work. Plus it doesn t hurt that most days there s a little pup to say hello to in the waiting room.

The entire team at John's Auto Care is friendly, honest, and hard-working. I started coming here about a year ago after my last mechanic retired, and I've been so pleased to find a place I can trust as much as I used to trust him.I drive older cars and am meticulous about maintaining them so they can last a long time. Mark, Bill, and the rest of the guys working in the shop have always been straightforward with me, helped me when I needed it, and explained things well.Their prices are not the cheapest in Syracuse, but their prices reflect the quality of work that one can expect when coming here.I considered not writing this review because I don't want them to get too busy to take my car in, but that would be doing them a disservice. Nice people, asked about my complications, great communication. I told them I like to know if they see anything coming down the road that might be a problem, which they did. For ex,.rear differential fluid needed to be changed. I laughed because my oil change place also told me this, but said they couldn't do it because of lack of expertise. First time customer, I like them.

Phenomenal !! My check engine light was on and my van was running terrible . They were able to diagnose and repair the issue quickly and efficiently. I found the staff to be very courteous and they kept me informed of the progress and cost, which was very reasonable !

First time at John s was perfect. Just had to drop the car for inspection, but everyone was extremely polite and friendly. Didn t feel pressured to do any work to my car that I wasn t willing to do.

We are new to the area and were recommended John s by a neighbor. Since then we have taken our cars several times for service and have no regrets! The front desk staff are professional and organized. Cars are ready in a timely manner, my car is returned clean and working as it should be. I also appreciate the mechanics keeping an eye on the car as a whole noting what is coming up. We would also recommend this business!

This is long story. It is also a very positive review for John's Auto on Milton Ave, Solvay.Part 1: I have a 2016 Ford Fusion SE AWD with the 2.0L Ford ecoboost engine. It has 83,000 miles. The check engine light went on. It was code P0304. That meant there was a cylinder 4 engine misfire. I took it to my mechanics at John's Auto who I've gladly been with for 7 years because of their great service. This is where the story gets ugly. I was told by Bill (a Ford expert) at John's Auto that he had "BAD NEWS". The problem was that coolant was leaking badly into the cylinder. I was told I need a brand new engine and it would cost $10,000. I was in shock but at the same time I trust John's Auto. I did some research and learned that coolant leaks into the cylinders have been a huge problem with the 2016 - 2019 Ford Fusion 2.0L ecoboost engines. Stay Away From Them! There are dozens of class action lawsuits across the country against Ford but it doesn't look like they will ever be held accountable.Part 2: My Ford Fusion is paid for and after researching the exorbitant prices of a comparable reliable used car I gave Bill the go-ahead to replace the engine. He said they'd have the new engine in the garage by Monday, December 18 and that the job would be completed by Thursday, December 22 (four days). This was crucial because they were closed for the holidays from December 23 - January 2. I was a nervous wreck as I rented a car until December 22 and checked on the status of the engine swap that morning. Bill told me the job was complete, that it went well, that he'd finish the paperwork and I'd have my car back by noon.Part 3: They did it! I am very pleased with the outcome. The car is running beautifully. No problems with the electronics or anything else. John's Auto is the best. I highly recommend them to everyone. Special thanks to Bill and Rob (who did much of the work) for their expertise.

I just recently were here to get my truck Krown sprayed and this place is very nice. The people at the counter are friendly and the mechanics that came into the waiting area to talk to other customers were very nice as well. I got the impression that most all the people in the waiting area had been there before. Everyone was talking to each other as if they were all friends. The spray job on my truck was very good, you could clearly see they hit everything under the truck and inside the panels. Based on my hour long observations waiting for the truck, I would not hesitate to send my vehicle there for other services.6/8/2021 Update - I just had John's change my oil this morning and as I expected was a great experience. I was in and out in 30 minutes. All the fluids were checked, my oil changed, and air pressure adjusted in my tires too. This place is full of really nice people, they greet you as you walk in the door. Thanks again for making my visit a good one and will see you again soon for the Krown and inspection!Services: Tires, Oil change

Great service, very fast. Brought the car in the night before, received a call at about 8 am describing the problem and the car was ready at 10 am. Couldn't ask for better service. Thank you.
