This place is a time machine...in a good way. Dude is a character for sure...if what he's saying confuses you in any way, chances are he's messing with you.I was just getting an inspection and he told me to have a seat (behind his desk) and told me to get to work writing up work orders and sorting parts. When another customer came in, I had to explain "I don't actually work here, lemme get the guy." When he came in he said "sorry about my assistant here...he can't seem to keep up." Hahaha!I could do without the pro-Trump pro-gun dumb signs & posters, but hey sometimes we see things differently.After I paid we sat and talked for a few minutes before he had to get back to work.Dude is a legend...support local business!

What a great experience. I met Mr Robert who is one of the owners. I showed up about 5 minutes to 7:00 and he welcomed me in, he was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. We chatted about cars and life. I got a thorough car inspection and was back on the road in about 25 minutes. Sad to know he'll be retiring soon. I wish I'd found this place years ago..

Overall my experience went very well. Took my jeep for a safety inspection but it had an evap issue. It took 3ish days to fix due to the time it took for the part to get delivered. The older man that runs it seems like a fair and honest person.

One of the best experiences with car mechanics I've ever had, highly recommend! I will be coming back here when my car needs it. They didn't talk me down nor tried to oversell problems that my car didn't have, like many mechanics try to do for female costumers. Their price is fair (they actually barely charged me) and they seem to genuinely be nice people.

Ace garage is awesome. They've been taking care of my car for years. They are fair with pricing, they do good work, and are super nice. This is the first trustworthy mechanic I have ever found.

A bit small, not the shiniest place, and a bit hard to get an appointment - but if you get can get in, the work they do is great. Good prices, honest folks, and though busy they are definitely personable (which is not a common thing in the auto industry). I definitely would recommend them.

bob is a great mechanic who has been in the building for something like 70 years he told me. very knowledgeable and fair pricing. never did work without calling me first to ok it.

These people are honest as the day is long and I m so grateful to whoever steered me in their direction (even tho I don t remember who it is )! Not too long ago, I d gone to Mavis Tire on West Genesee St to have a slow leak repaired, and they did a courtesy check of my shocks. They informed me that they needed replacing, but I d read in the past that their advice isn t reliable. So when I had Ace do my annual safety check today, I asked for them to check my shocks, and sure enough, my shocks are fine. I can t recommend them enough!

This is my first time writing any Google reviews. I could have given Ace Garage 10 stars. Bob, the owner is such a honest and humble gentleman. I had my check engine light on and went there for an inspection and he diagnosed it right away without charging me a penny while other auto shops would charge for over $100 the diagnostic fee. He worked on my car the next day and figured out the problem was in the programming and it has to be fixed with the car dealer. Once again, he didn't charge me for anything. I was so lucky to have found Ace Garage and so grateful for having honest and genuine people like Bob. I will always come back for more auto services and refer anyone to Ace Garage.

Bob is a very fair and honest mechanic. I took my car to two other shops before taking it to Bob at Ace Garage and both other places tried to cheat me with high estimates while Bob told me what was really wrong and gave me a very fair price and saved me thousands.

I have been going to Ace Garage now for 3 years. I was told about the tiny shop by a freind. Bob's prices are always the lowest!! At first when he would do work on one of my Jeeps I would call around after he gave me the price and was shocked to find his quote was always the lowest by about $50.00. He is an older man who is very friendly and very professional!! As a 20 (something) year old woman I have never had him talk over my head and he always listens to me as I try to explain the problem even when I know little about cars. The only draw back I have ever had is that his shop is always busy and sometimes you have to wait a few hours before he can get you in. That is worth it to me when I know #1 he is priced fairly and #2 His work is perfect! Who cares about the wait, ace garage is worth it!! Thank you Bob!!

Just moved to Syracuse from out of state. Bob is the nicest guy, and got me in and out fast and with a very fair price. So happy I found this little shop. Won t be going to anyone else.

I went for a car inspection and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Even offered me a ride after dropping off my car. I was very pleased with service I received and will definitely be returning!
