All the employees were extremely helpful. Nick at the front desk was so courteous and polite. I had such a pleasant experience getting my tires changed.Joel worked on my car and was professional and thorough. They didn't have my tires in stock but were able to get them quickly and have my tires installed. Great job. Thank youM Raymond

Thanks to Kevin & the whole staff for putting 4 great tires on my car. 4 tires were ordered right before Mavis closed & put on the vehicle the next day, allowing me to not cancel a full day.They ordered the tires swifly. No trouble. Car was ready a few hours before I needed the car. Highly recommend. Good attitudes. No bad vibes

I have been here 3times. I had a problem and replaced the tire once. I plugged my tire holes twice. I always feel good every time I come!! This place is friendly and honest. Recommended!!

Super quick and efficient work at diagnosing my issues! Found a faulty sensor and a bubble in my tire and were able to fix both with the correct parts (all in stock). I waited while they worked, and I was out of there in 45 minutes! Keno was terrific at working on my car, very knowledgeable and comprehensive! I would highly recommend!

Went in for low pressure on ONE tire. Was told our SUV needed two tires as there were screws in both tires. Since we dropped the car off and we re not there, I asked them to take photos and show me the problem. I was sent the photos shown here. I was very skeptical as the one screw looked like it did not puncture the tire and was in sideways. I am not the mechanic and I can see that this was obvious. They supposedly had assessed the tires and told me they were both leaking and needed to be be replaced as the screws were in the sidewall and could not be plugged. A simple liquid spray test would have shown this was not leaking and fine . But they did not even mention that this was a possibility, instead saying the total cost would be $630 total for both tires, balancing, and taxes.I told them I would come and get the car. Went to the Lexus dealer we bought the vehicle from and we only needed one tire and the other one was FINE. Before we even let them take the car onto the lift to look in detail, the mechanic told me he was 95% sure that sideways screw did not pierce the tire.So had I agreed, Mavis would have replaced both tires and cost me an additional $300 I needed work.I am sure they knew and this was a type of scam. There is no other way to explain the fact that a place whose business IS tires would tell me to replace both tires.The vehicle/tires were only 2 months old and still brand new.I would never give this place my business again.there is absolutely no excuse.

THEY CHARGED FOR SERVICES NEVER RENDERED!!!! If you receive a call from Brian after dropping off your vehicle at the Syosset Mavis stating you need an alignment, BEWARE!!! Mavis claimed to do an alignment, but strangely enough the car drove the same when my daughter picked it up! Here we are a couple of weeks post Mavis alignment, and I had a chance to check under the car to see if there where tool marks on the tie rod ends, or any of the other components, and surprisingly nothing was disturbed! Not the road grim, grease, or dirt, nothing! As a retired mechanic I know there is no way you can loosen up a tire rod end and not leave a tell tale sign you where there. To confirm my suspisions I brought the car to a independent repair shop for their opinion, and to check the alignment. MY SUSPICIONS WHERE CONFIRMED! My mechanic did the alignment while I watched, and he had a very hard time freeing up the frozen tie rod ends! If the car was aligned at Mavis just weeks before, the tie rod ends would not be frozen, being the Mavis mechanic would have had to loosen them up to bring the car into spec! In addition the alignment was out of spec as well!!! I WAS BLATANTLY RIPPED OF BY BRIAN AND HIS BOYS AT MAVIS!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

The guys here are great. Scott, Joel, and Nick were very friendly and welcoming. They were able to rake my car quickly and the work was done efficiently. They made me aware of any additional work that was needed to be done on my vehicle. I love coming to this location. They are the best

Awesome shop; went there for 2nd opinion tire repairment, was $40 cheaper than the other one, able to get in and out within 40 mins. Friendly staffs

I've been to Mavis Discount Tire in Syosset now several times, for everything from an auto inspection to needing new breaks, and each time all the staff that I interacted with was not only very professional but friendly! The service on my car was done in a timely manner and the price was, in my opinion, completely fair! They definitely do not try and rip you off like some other places I've been! I will continue using Mavis for my car and would recommend them to everyone!

WARNING FOR WOMAN!!!!The Manager Marco (one of the managers as he put it), was remarkably rude and disrespectful to my wife when she came in to get her tire replaced after they next called the day before to let us know that the tire came in. She called this morning and was told to come in and that the wait would be 45min. He than told her "you're next" for almost as hour as she watched 3-5 other cars go in. (total time there +1.5hr). When I called to ask why its been so long he told me he has "other priorities" and hung up on me. I called back where he dismissed my questions and hung up on me again.Finally, I told my wife she should just leave and well go elsewhere. She asked for her keys when Marco said "Listen Mother!" (as if he was stopping himself from cursing at her). She left and we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. NO ONE should be spoken to or treated like that especially at places that have the stigma of treating woman unfairly. Sadly this Manager Marco reinforced the stigma.I spoke to Corp and they will be escalating the issue which I am thankful for. What a shame....

Very disrespectful!!!Called to get a price for brake pads since I already had the parts. The guy (don't want to mention his name) said, "You have to bring the car here first, I'm busy now, BYE" then hangs up the phone.Used to go here for tires and mechanical issues. Not anymore.Called another place and they replaced it for me.

Absolute worst experience ever. I told them I would wait for my vehicle, ended up waiting 3 hours and THEN they told me they did not have my tire.. Meanwhile, they were fighting with other customers about various other things. I was then told I had to wait several days for them to order it. Few days later I got a call that the tire came in, and that there was also now supposedly a nail in ANOTHER tire that they tried to charge me for. Needless to say I refused to pay for it. When I finally picked up my car, the air pressure on one of the tires was 47 (while all others was 34 as they should be), so that was also very strange.. And oh yeah they were also by far the most expensive place to get the tire replaced. The dealership and other places were charging around $230 for the same tire, while Mavis charged $300.. do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The Wednesday Crew is amazing here!!!!!!!Knowledgeable, patient and explained everything very thoroughly before any work was completed! Even gave me pointers on things to take care of as well! Would definitely recommend to everyone and will definitely be back!From the time I called panicking on the road, Travis called my nerves and took the car right in as soon as I pulled up! I appreciate the entire team!

Walked in on a Sunday after trying at 2 other Mavis Locations. The location in Great Neck was so busy they didn t realize they missed our reservation so we took a ride to Syosset.Joel greeted us, and was able to get us in right away.

Kevin at the Syosset Mavis Discount Tire was extremely helpful and understanding of my situation from the moment I walked in. I had suspected I might have a flat tire and wanted them to check it out. I got my answer after a short wait in the comfortable waiting area. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Great mechanic shop to go to if you need maintenance work done on your car. The place is very clean and prices are reasonable. I needed new brakes and rotors for my car. Carlos was very helpful and assisted me right away. My car was given back the same day. I will continue coming back here.

Just had an unbelievable experience. Travis was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything to me. Very personal made me feel comfortable with the work that needed to be done. Will definitely be going here for all my needs

I brought 3 cars here in the past few months for brakes and oil change. They are fast, courteous and knowledgeable. The manager was very professional, informative, pleasant and most important, honest. My family will be back here for our car service needs. Thank you.

I just want to start with saying how amazing wonderful frank the front desk receptionist is he s so sweet welcoming very nice makes you feel so comfortable when you drop off your car like everything is ok if your worried about your car he will take that fear away with his kind words and confidence in the company of fixing it for you I will be coming back to forever fix my car and referring everyone I know if there in the Syosset location to go there because of him . I was having a bad day before I came in the shop but his kindness made my day better when I left the shop after getting my tires fixed thank you so much for treating the customers so well we appreciate you god bless you

Top notch customer service and quality service. I ve been going to this Mavis location for years and they re the absolute best. Phil, one of the managers is kind, respectful and honest, (as are his co-workers). His customer service skills and overall demeanor are superior. The work is always completed in a timely manor and always done with care and precision.

I had a bad experience today.I had visited this store so many times (i have changed like 6 or more tires here and more than 5 times oil change). Every visit was great but this time.I had a bubble on one of my tires, I dropped the car in the morning, at first they said they need to change two tires to keep the balance and i doubted that since they had changed only one tire for me before (from here i was feeing they wanted to fool me). Then the guy told me the engineer would check and call me back. After 2 hours, one guy called and told me they can change one tire but the bubble was not covered by the Road Hazard insurance. I said no, it would be covered since i had changed the tire due to the bubble in this store before and it was covered and i found the Road Hazards Insurance and read to him that it was covered. The guy kept saying it is not covered. I asked to talk with the manager or owner and he said 'I am the owner'. But I knew he was not since I have talked with the owner before. This made me feel more like he was trying to fool me. The guy then said i did not understand his English and asked me to visit the store for explanation and hang up the phone directly.I walked 20 minutes there. Since I was thinking he was fooling me, so I tried to record our conversation in case I would talk to his manager or owner. The guy found this and yelled at me and refused to provide any service. I asked to talk with the manager or owner again. but he refused again and joked at me 'do you think the manager or owner have time to talk with you?'He said the mavis has good reputation. Yes, Mavis do has good reputation otherwise I won't visit the store so many times. but the good reputation is ruining down by those employees.
