J&M Auto is the mechanic I've been looking for my whole life. These guys do great work. Also, they are honest. These aren't the guys who will tell you that your car needs something just to milk you out of a few bucks. If Mike tells you your car needs something, it does. He'll tekk you why. Their parking lot is always full. They have lots of work. They do not need to trick or nickel and dime you.

Stop by J And M for a quick oil change I checked my wiper blades said I needed new ones I was in and out in 30 minutes they are always very friendly and prompt

Have used J&M for a number of years. They did a timing belt change and front axle replacement and my car runs like new. They are known for honesty and quality service and have a very loyal following to prove it. Mike and his son were efficient and helpful as always this time with our cars annual inspection the other day. In fact, I told Mike that I received 2 tickets on the same day for an expired inspection sticker while parked in 2 places in NYC and he noted that I might be able to get one ticket waived- went to the site to dispute it and site did state you should not have to pay for both tickets if received in 24 hours so will probably win that dispute thanks to Mike. We have been going to Mike and Randy for close to 2 decades and they are the best.Service: Vehicle Inspection

If you are looking for a business with very high integrity and commitment to making things right for the customer then look no further than J&M. I originally came to the shop as I was effectively broken down off the LIE and needed to find someplace quickly. Thankfully for me, J&M was the closest shop to where I was and they took me in on a Friday evening. Everyone I spoke with there was friendly and helpful and they made a point of getting my repairs done the next morning so I could have the car back for the weekend.Unfortunately I had a slight issue a couple of weeks later and Mike (one of the owners) jumped right on it and made it right. Throughout the process he was patient, fair and professional. His only concern was making the issue right and making sure I had a positive experience and the car was fully ready for the road. I would use J&M again in an instant and am sure that commitment to the customer flows through to everyone that works there. Thank you J&M!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been using J & M for over 25 years, and my family used them from when we first moved to Syosset. I will never use any other service station. I get my vehicles back in top notch shape and always a fair price. I went here recently for the first time. I explained that I needed to have my brakes done in the same day. These guys quickly assessed the problem and found the time to complete the job on a Saturday morning. Great customer service.

I was in the area from out of state when my van started idling really rough. I googled shops in Syosset NY and wound up at J&M. Randy diagnosed the problem immediately and I was back on the road in 2.5 hours. The price was very fair and they could have really taken advantage of an out of towner that needed to get back on the road. A very clean waiting area with a very professional staff. Big job from car accident was done and insurance paid about 18k. But rapidly know steering issue left and second time needed to work. It was not nice in every time visit and not satisfied. Wiper light was on after 2 weeks and there is grindpy sound when turning to the right which couldn't be fixed ever. We went other fair shop and spent several hundreds to fix those unprofessional wiring issue and strauss issue in which unequal nut for turning. Basically they didn't do professional or racial discrimination.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Body & Trim, Wheel alignment

Except for J&M, I never rate businesses on the Web. They are the exception. I've dealt with J&M for a number of years after having my vehicle serviced at another local station for a long time. The primary difference is J&M fixes what is broken; their competition looks for things to fix that don't require servicing. They're straight forward, no B.S. business at fair prices with terrific service. My wife and I don't necessarily agree on everything but this is one business we're totally in-sync on. I recently moved out of the area but still bring both my vehicles to them. I even extended my AAA coverage so that if my cars ever need towing from a long distance they can be brought to their garage.
