I've been going there for years and I always get treated professionally. I see the owner works with his staff, which gives a good feeling of how he runs the establishment.

They caused a problem on my vehicle the first time I brought it in for brakes, then refused to fix the problem they created and tried to upcharge me. Then they asked me for more money to check a part on their recommendation, and when I brought it in they didn t check it and charged me money anyway. What a dishonest and disgraceful business. Do not come here.

Every time I go, there is friendly guys who work there, knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, got my inspection done. Found out they do auto work and more. Thank you

Avoid this shop!! It is highly unfortunate that I need to change this review. I don't usually like to change reviews especially when I give a good one, but man these guys bamboozled me.Brought my bus in first time for a rear brake change. Ever since then it started to have a growling problem in the left rear brake. Brought it back for them to look at, instead of fixing my brake they did something to my drivetrain which made it better (hence my older review), but still didn't make the growling go away. They told me it was my bearing in the front, so I brought it back in. They didn't even do anything to the bus - when i came back to pick it up they said they couldn't get the bearing off and basically charged me $150 to babysit my bus when they did nothing to it. This was a year ago.Fast forward to today, I had another mechanic look at my back brake and behold - the caliper was misaligned when they put the new brakes on. If they had the decency to care for your vehicle or check their work, that problem would have been completely avoided. My mechanic also showed me that they did an incorrect weld fix to my driveshaft that will eventually cost me big down the line. They probably did it thinking I wouldn't catch it to get it out of the shop faster. Very unfortunate.They definitely are the type to upsell and tell you parts need to be replaced just to sell you on the part. I had confidence in them, but they never were able to fix that growling that they caused and may have possibly damaged my vehicle more with their shoddy repairs. I paid them thousands of dollars just for them to half fix my vehicle with mediocre work.Avoid this shop at all costs. Car was fixed quick and was charged a reasonable fee to have a new starter installed. Just moved to the area and this definitely will be my new mechanic

Quality of work is alright. Speed of work is good. Labor prices are average. Parts prices are doubled. Some of them are nice. One of them has bad attitude. If i will give some one business, i will not choose a place with attitude.

Clemente was nothing but disrespectful. I understand it is a automotive repair shop & at times they can come off as "busy" or "rude", but this experience with Clemente & his staff was beyond that. I've been to several repair shops throughout my life & chose to give this one a go since it was nearby. Came in for a simple starter issue to which they didn't even fix, but when they told me it was done, I came to pick up they keys to where they issued me ~$800 bill.. for a starter.. ok no problem. Done & paid, went to turn on my car and it doesn't even start! That is when I approached Clemente and he insisted on having a second look but at a cost. I told him politely that why would I pay for something that wasn't fixed. He corrected me and said the starter was fixed but the car has other issues and that he doesn't know what it is.Not once did Clemente call me to tell me this, but instead "fixed" a starter in a way that the car wouldn't start. Charged me $800 cash. And told me to take my business elsewhere. Beware of their deceiving service.

Best shop on the island. Clem is a fantastic mechanic and shop owner. His guys are equally awesome. Been going here for over a decade at this point and I always leave satisfied.

Didn't have any work done here but went in for information about a plow and they were willing to be helpful so I would say I'd give the place a shot if I needed .

Prior to this visit at richmond auto, I used to take my nissan to the dealership auto shop to be serviced they have disappointed me in the past so someone referred me to richmond auto and i will never go anywhere else again! Richmond auto are honest and reliable and way cheaper than nissan auto repair shop. Richmond auto repair is fast friendly and availble for all car needs.. I am so happy with the services done by richmond auto and appreciate them letting me know I actually didnt need a pricey part for my car like nissan who told me that lie that I needed all kinds of parts when I didnt they just wanted to get more money from me. Anyway, thank you richmond automotive repair center I truly appreciate your services your smiles surety and safety of my car! Oh did I mention they fixed my car in less than 4 hours?! They are the best!!! I recommend this shop to all other drivers who care about their car and their wallets!!! Richmond auto is the best!

BRUNG MY CAR IN TO CHECK THE OVERHEATING ISSUE AND RENEW MY INSPECTION.. BASICALLY JUST CHANGE THE THERMOSTAT... INSTEAD HE RIPS OUT MY RADIATOR, BREAKS MY HOOD LATCH AND LOCKS, AND CLIPPED MY ENGINE OXYGEN SENSOR OFF THE BONE.... GOT CHARGED $1200 ... THE GUY CLEMEMTE SET ME UP!I WALKED AWAY WITH A ENGINE LIGHT ON, DROVE 2 MILES MY ALTERNATER BLEW, THERMOSTAT ALL JAMMED UP....... HAD TO DROP IT OFF AGAIN AT DIFFERENT MECHANIC............... RICHMOND AUTO CENTER WAS THE WORST MOST OVERCHARGED PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN.. WHAT A SCAM!
