I needed a new battery for my car ASAP but the advanced auto parts store on amboy closed in 15 minutes. I spoke with a nice girl named Stephanie who was extremely understanding and even kept the store open a little longer to help me out. She was so sweet and helpful and I got the exact part I needed in less than 10 minutes!! She knew exactly what she was doing and I received amazing service from her!

Rudy is top notch. Came in with a defective battery which happens too often with Advance, but Rudy s professionalism and demeanor in solving the problem were exceptional. That level of service is what keeps me a customer.

Need a better selection of parts did not even have the part for my car because it was too new and this car is over a year old

Went in on a Sunday to order some parts for my car. The store was clean even went as far as to put balloons up on the aisles. The person behind the counter Justin was helping me place an order while also helping other customers. He was extremely knowledgeable and went the extra mile to help me find all the parts I needed. I will definitely go see him again.

The store is very clean even had balloons on the aisle. The person Justin behind the counter was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Took time to help me find all the parts I needed. The manager Rudy and Mike were helpful as well. Would recommend going to see them for your auto parts needs

Terrible!Went in asking to get my car tested cause Check Engine light was on. Guy behind counter told me he wasn t going outside today., with a arrogant smile on his face.Nobody was in the store while I was there.I walked out, not going back. Done with them!, even if it is closer to home.Called local Autozone, tech said sure bring it by.

Dealt wit a young woman. Very helpful. Staff is great really appreciative of the help I was given to find what I needed. I believe her name was stephanie who helped me. Highly recommend

Service was poor with lazy workers. No way did they go ahead and help a a clueless person when it comes to a car and a screw on license plate. They actually handed the screwdriver to me. I have no clue. But geez thanks for your first and last time I go their or any other advance auto parts or service. Let s name Richie as the worst employee of the year

General manager Rudy & other colleagues are absolutely amazing and so kind! I came into the store just looking for tool to get something wedged between my seat and center console, I walked in, explained what I needed and they offered to let me borrow one of their tools at first, no charge but It didn t work. Rudy then personally took time out of his day to come take a look, he ended up unscrewing the backseat to lift it up so I could get what I had lost & it worked! I offered to pay him for his generosity and he refused. I would definitely recommend this shop- no doubt! 10 star rating

The store manager Rudy and sales person Chris helped me out with a battery today and did right by me. Chris insisted on installing it in my car though it was very hot outside and was very nice about the whole thing. Rudy helped me on the price as well, I didn t have much to spend on a battery in the first place, but they was assured me I d be getting back on the road without any issues. Thank you guy very much.

I placed an order online, received an email to confirm that the order was ready for store pickup, when I went to the store the order was not available.I already booked an appointment with a mechanic and took a day off to fix my car.This store's mistake caused waste of my time and money

It is such a convenience to have Adv Auto where it is. Anytime I am in a pinch to get something I need, they always have it and the staff is always helpful.My car battery died yesterday and after I jumped it, I drove straight here. The guy behind the counter got me the battery I needed, removed the old one, installed the new one and did a quick and clean job. All of this within 15 minutes. Love this place.

Had the guy take the time to help figure out why the cost was 20 more than it was supposed to. Needless to say I was more annoyed than he was having had to go to the shelf twice to get me the correct items. My go to store, they're always going the extra mile for customer service.

Shameful. This is the second time I walked in this store and eventually walked out. The staff was heard laughing in the back while customers, like myself, stood at the counter, unattended. Unacceptable. After announcing ones presence, they still ignore you. This shop needs a top to bottom shake out. Find another place for auto parts.

Very knowledgable and helpful staff. They will install wiper blades when you buy them. Prices are reasonable and they have a great inventory. Once they didn't have what I needed. They called their Richmond Avenue store and determined that they had it in stock. I appreciated that.

Jacob installed my battery for my car after it decided to die in the parking lot, two hours after they are not supposed to install batteries anymore! In chatting with him I found out that he is an mechanical engineering major at a very prestigious college in NJ and he explained in detail the process of installing the battery in my car in an articulate and professional manner. To top this off, he problem solved in a great manner, I was very comfortable watching him find a efficient way to secure my car battery into it's spot.I'm not exactly the best with tools, but watching Jacob install the battery reminded me of my father, who was the manager of an industrial hardware store for 25+ years. I loved watching the balance of an intelligent and technically sophisticated mind and hands at work.Also, my car was totally on the other side of the parking lot and he still wheeled out the cart all the way without complaint. Definitely a five star experience and worth every penny. Thanks for the help! Autozone should offer Jacob a position much higher than what he is doing now, he is going places! if they don't, don't be surprised if he ends up working at Tesla, SpaceX or NASA!

After having my breaks done three times by proffessional shops , they were never done correctly. My dad took it upon himself to fix my car . With the help this store and the great employees they have working here. I want to personally thank the general manager Rudy Vazquez and his staff phil and liam for walking my father through the job and finally recrifying the real problem! He was so confident after fixing the breaks with their help , he changed the strutts and shocks too!! Hopefully Advanced auto parts upper mangement sees this and recognizes their staffs talent and proffessionalism.

A great, helpful and friendly neighborhood autoparts store. The staff are forthcoming with help and advice, but are not nagging if you are in just to browse. I had to change the battery, air filters, and some other things, something I thought might be an time wasting ordeal. Not only I got a good deal on it, the whole transaction took no more than 15 minutes, with searching and swapping of the battery and filters. They took in the old battery for recycling, no questions asked, which is something I had worries about, as many autoparts stores often use such opportunities to be pushy selling you stuff (you might not even need) in exchange for accepting your spent batteries or oil. I'll be coming back here for my parts and tools.

I shop here because it's close by but there is always a new staff at this store ,the employees dont stick around too long and the prices are more than Auto zone . If your in a pinch it's ok, but to go in and shop no.

needed a brake lite # sw6218 your guys sent me outa the store with the wrong part which was order on tues i showed a photo of needed part was told the wrong part was the right part they reorder it was told it would be ther at 3 pm thurs at 6 was told the part never came was told it would be in the store at 8 am fri went in at 7 pm 4360 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10312 it still wasnt there boy do you guys mess with your custmers

Prices are a little high but 3/4 of the guys that work behind the counter have some sort of mechanical knowledge so it's always nice to go thru a question at them ... Pretty good service

Their general Manager (Sorry I forgot your name!) was SO helpful and an absolutely TERRIFIC GUY! They will install your battery but don't forget to tip the guy!

Epic fail on customer service. Lets begin when my car battery died on me by my house and I had to use a jump start it with the help of a good neighbor. Fast track to me getting my car to Auto Parts and buying an emergency battery charger for $49.99 in case i get stuck again, only to realize that when I came out of the store my car battery was dead again. Realizing that I might need a new battery all together I walked back in to Auto Parts and purchased a new battery for $160 and had tipped the installer just to install it. Running short on time I started my car and left knowing that i can always return the Emergency battery charger at a later date as there was no mention of a no refund policy by Debra ( Cashier ). Fast track one week later were I had returned to Auto Parts to get the refund for the 49.99 because now I have a new battery I was told that I had opened the box and I wasn't allowed to return the charger even with my receipt. Thanks alot Auto Parts for the epic fail I'll stick to Amazon from now on...

This is always my first choice for parts since i started working with Debbie she always go above and beyond to help you find the right part for your vehicle even if you're not sure what it is there have been many times that all I needed was a picture to get replacements I am always confident in the products she recommends 5 stars thanks again Debbie B.

I needed a part for my friends car I called and they helped get me the part the worker that works their was very nice and helpful this gentlemen named Rudy went out of his way to help get the part I needed when u need a part for toe car I highly recommend Rudy thank u and the rest of the crew that works for advance auto parts and thank you for staying open the w this co vid 19epidemic time

If you want to work at advance auto, get ready to go back in time when you were 10 or 12 at camp, that's literally how it feels, minus the good time .You don't need to know anything about automotive, but you best be ready to clean toilets and stock shelves, the company doesn't even require drug or urine test for a driver position Lol

Have been in this Advance Auto Parts store a few times. Staff is pretty helpful and they always had what I needed. Place is clean and items are stocked properly on the shelves.
