I recently purchased a '96 Chevy Blazer from Rob. His integrity and competence as a mechanic has been evident from the day he showed me the vehicle. Rob has consistently answered my many questions and serviced the vehicle any time I needed. He does what is needed to keep the vehicle safe and reliable, but not things that are unnecessary. His charges are more than fair. I have dealt with many shops over the years and can't say I have ever found one that I trust as much to do the job right than Rob's. Thank-you Rob

Worth every recommendation they have received!! Excellent staff and reliable service!! I am so happy I decided to take my car in. After a nightmare experience with Empire Chevrolet in Huntington, they were able to diagnose and fix the issue my wife's car was having in under 30 minutes for an extremely reasonable price. I cannot wait to continue using them in the future for all my cars and steer everyone I can in their direction.

I ve been going to Rob s for years even before they moved locations and they re still the best! I moved out of Smithtown and I ll still make the trip out to Rob s for all my car problems. Great people! Great service! Highly recommend.

My first experience was a polite, straight to the point, no thrills direct answer to all my questions and concerns. At first, I was suspicious due to my past experiences with several other auto mechanics in the area; however, my suspicious emtions were gone when he told me in detail why I need to do the things to my car to make it last as long as possible. He had me pull up my car to the ramp, he raised the car and showed me exactly what is good, and what needed to be fixed or replaced. He then worked with me on everything from giving me a donor car for the day to even working out a lower price for a better experience. The next day he reached out and without any amount of pressure he told me that something had to be changed on my car when I can afford and he even linked a better price when compared to all the competitors.Not only does my car run, sound and drive better. It gives me the sense of security knowing anything that I need will be taken care of. He told me not to worry about my car for another 30k miles, besides doing an oil change or tires obviously. I highly recommend. Give them a chance. That is all they need to win you over. 5 out of 5 and they worked for the 5 out of 5.The nice young lady behind the counter answered all my billing and waiting period questions. She was down to earth and very friendly. Keep in mind parking is a little odd but after the first time it is easy!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning

I had been going to same mechanic for years, but started to feel like something was off. I had brought my car in for constant suspension issues, but continuously blown off (after having my car for several days), being its an older car and has major issues not worth repairing. I decided to give Rob's Auto a shot, and hopefully find a new mechanic. Best decision I could have ever made. Right off the bat I could feel things different. The girl at the counter was courteous and no hassle setting up an appointment. The night drop-off set up (lockbox, envelopes) was great. Communication was solid. Got texts updating me on the findings and an attached estimate. Now the best part...Rob A was a total pro. He went above and beyond to find out all these major repairs weren't that major. He spent most of his day with my car and didn't stop until he felt confident he found every possible issue. He communicated with me every step and worked with me as best as could on the price. He even followed up with me a few days later to see how the car was. Total 180 from what I was dealing with. I was ready to junk this car last month, now I just installed a new radio in it because how well it's running, lol. Thanks again guys!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Started using Rob over 15 years ago because he did the cars for the company I worked for at the time. I have been going ever since. I trust Rob's opinion and I've never felt he was trying to take advantage or upsell me. I went to Rob's Auto Service. My car needed some essential repairs. Skilled auto mechanics that know their stuff. The turnaround time was the same day. The service was great. Robs Auto got me in for service next day and was able to sort out issues other shops were not able to. Quality work, very fair pricing, and no pushy sales tactics. Very satisfied! I have know Rob since he started his business over 30 years ago. He is by far the best mechanic snd best person! Rob is extremely honest and prices are always fair. To find these two qualities is so very far between. Robs auto care is always the very best, and the job is always perfect the first time. i will definitely be taking my vehicle to rob going forward for any needs it may have. i brought it in there to have them look at my alternator and the job was done smoothly with ease and had it back fast. hes very honest, does very good work and straightforward with you and doesn t try to steal your money. thank you rob for all you do, i look forward to bringing my vehicle to you for any other mechanical needs it may have in the future.

Good service, fairly affordable, very trustworthy. The owner (Rob) seems extremely knowledgeable regarding cars and car maintenance. First time I went he took me under my car and showed me exactly what's wrong. Rob's Auto Service goes above and beyond.

I called on a Friday mid day for a 8am Monday morning alignment. I was welcomed by the front desk receptionist. Rob himself promptly took my car in and was on alignment lift at 8am promptly. He spent a good amount of time and periodically came to let me know how progress was going. Rob took extra care on my mustang as it's suspension was modified. He nailed the alignment perfect and had the car out in a very respectable time. Thank you Rob...I will be returning with more vehicles.

A+ service. Called to make an inspection appointment when they openthe following Monday. Rob greeted me 5 minutes early and got the car turned around quickly while I waited. Also offered advice on next used car purchase and said they are happy to take a look at potential vehicles free of charge. Great improvement over the shop that used to operate in this location.

Rob is such an honest family man, he takes care of every family member and friends as if it was his own. His mechanics know their craft and his pricing is reasonable. He'll go out of his way to accommodate your schedule and get you back into the your vehicle in no time. So convenient and so trustworthy. Great location and nice fenced in auto yard with security gates and cameras.

I ve been coming to Rob s Auto Service after realizing that Nissan dealership is just taking my money. The first time I came here without an appointment for routine maintenance and replaced two brakes. Rob had me in and out within an hour and charged nearly half of the Nissan dealership. The staff is friendly and I feel I m in good hands.

Wish I lived Near Rob's Auto Service. Brought a car from his local area that I was looking at buying for a pre-purchase inspection. Gave me the complete rundown on the car, recommended a specialty shop to review one issue and wouldn't take any $ from me. Really great attitude! and easy to deal with!

The ONLY mechanic/repair center that I trust to work on my cars and Truck. Super reliable! In many years, I have never had even one issue of any type. Never a come back. Had everything performed, from basic oil service and brakes to more complicated issues.I have recommended many of my close friends and work associates to Robb's. They are all still talking to me. :-) That says alot!Simply the Best!

Robs Auto in commack is by fair the best shop to handle my RV rental fleet, they are fair in price, fast in service and Rob is very trust worthy. I have been using his shop for over 6 years now and would recommend them to take care of any mechanical issue you have. Thanks Robs for anotherhelpful RV service season !! Brought my car to the dealer for repair. They quoted me $1295 to fix it. Asked them to wait & researched the issue needing repair. Towed car from dealer to ROB'S AUTO SERVICE. Car was repaired for $794.00. Same issue... same parts... minus the exaggerated time dealer was billing for hours. Even with towing, I SAVED $491.00. Thank you Rob for your excellent work and honest business.

My experience with Rob's was not so great. I came in with a squealing noise from the passenger side rear wheel. The noise would happen at low speed and was not affected by braking vs. not braking. This was diagnosed by Rob as a brake problem (warped rotors) and I was told I would need to replace the rotors and pads. This is quite an expensive repair. I went ahead with the repair and less than 1 month later the problem was back exactly the same. In addition, I believe that the rotors used are inferior parts (not OEM) because they are visibly rusting. Since I have nice alloy spoke wheels, you can see the ugly rusting of the rear rotors. There is no rust on the OEM rotors in the front. So overall, I am not happy and will look elsewhere next time I need work done. Meanwhile, I am still stuck with the original problem.
