When you find a good and honest mechanic, you stick with them. Gerard and Danny are two of the best mechanics that I know. They are honest about work that needs to be done and the are meticulous and careful with my vehicles. The shop is spotless, tools are well organized so its obvious that they take pride in what they do and how they do it. The office/waiting area is really nice. I have been coming here for 12 years and would not go anywhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations

I've been a customer of Gerard's Quality Auto & Truck for almost 20 years. I know that when I bring my vehicles in for service or repair it will be done right the first time. Gerard and Danny have always been professional and don't try to sell me something I don't need, they are extremely trustworthy. Gerard not only stands by, but guarantee's his work.I'm very OCD about my vehicles and know from first hand experience, that anyone that goes to Gerard's will never have to worry about the reliability of Gerard and Danny 's workmanship. In a word they are the best!!

Amazing Service and People! I came in with a check engine light, unannounced, and they were able to take me in immediately. They looked super busy, so I was so happy that they were even able to accommodate me, because I had to be somewhere and was concerned if the car was alright. They spent a 1/2 hour with the car, taking other cars out of the shop to bring mine in to take a look at it. Turns out, my gas cap was just loose which caused a code! Here's the best part: Even with the time they spent with me, looking at the car, and plugging into their machinery...they didn't charge me! This is customer service, people! Gerard and co. really care for and have empathy for their customers..you can just tell. Also, the office is awesome! I'm a new customer for life.

If you want the job done right, take it to Gerard. If you want to make sure your new car gets the professional care it deserves, if you want to extend the life of your old car, take it to Gerard. Got a problem no one else can solve try Gerard.I have been coming here for years. Multiple cars. New cars, cars with 200K + miles. I am obsessed with safety so I feel good brakes, tires, steering are working optimally. What you pay him will be worth it.By the way, if you want cheap work, shoddy work go elsewhere.

Gerard helped my son by giving him great advice on his fender bender and Danny saved my day this morning by fixing a complete flat on my car that got me back to work within half hour.. he stopped everything to help me and didn t rip me off what a great neighborhood find!!! Got a first-hand personal experience of the first rate customer care that Gerard himself had to offer. I benefitted from his deep well of knowledge and expertise as well as his warm and personable demeanour. My visit felt more like a trip to an old friend than a car service call.I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in the Smithtown area.

As a seasoned consumer I usually do not put much faith in the catchyslogan of a business. However, that is not the case here. At Gerard's Quality Auto & Truck Care they 110% deliver on their promise of "Quality Work Done Right. Only What You Need"!

Three things....1. Trust 2. Master mechanics 3. Relationship. This place is a rare find. From the most complex repairs to complete overhauls, Gerard and Danny are experts in their field that you can trust. Leave it in their hands and if you don't believe me just take a look at their shop and tell me if you have ever seen a cleaner place. Says it all.

They are always honest with you and never try to upsell you for more than you need. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a long term mechanic.
