We loved our stay at 34 State! The owners renovated it beautifully while maintaining the historical charm. The home has such a warm, cozy feel that makes it easy to relax, and the rooms are spotless and filled with luxury furnishings and bedding. Katie is extremely responsive and helpful, and she has lived in the area for a long time and had great recommendations. The location is hard to beat, as it is walking distance to everything - the lake, parks, restaurants, and the grocery store. We highly recommend it to others!

Katie is an incredible host. This is a beautiful special place right in the village. You can walk to shops and restaurants. The energy of this space is so magical that once you get there, you won't want to leave, so prepare to stay an extra night. Thank you Katie for all you do.

We spent a weekend at 34 State during the 2016 Dickens Festival and had a lovely time. The suite was luxurious - spacious, well-appointed, spotless. Katie greeted us at arrival and provided us just the right amount of availability while totally respecting our privacy. We spent the first evening enjoying a bottle of wine in the living room in front of the gas fireplace - very romantic! The butler's pantry was a plus - handy and well-stocked. The location is perfect - easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and lakefront. I cannot more highly recommend this lodging - we will definitely be returning.

My now husband and I stayed at 34 State for our wedding weekend 8/31/19 - 9/2/19 - a great decision! The owners were very accommodating, patient, sweet and even offered to let us borrow a car so I could make it to our ceremony on time after I was having a mini bridal meltdown. The room was beautiful and clean and the bed was so comfortable. Such a quick walk to town too! We hope to stay at 34 State next year for our 1 year anniversary!

I recently stayed at 34 State with a couple of friends. It was our girls weekend away from the Hubby's. We were all thrilled with our accommodations. The suites are large and luxurious. Very elegantly decorated, and were stocked with everything we could have needed, makeup remover, lotions and Aveda hair products which I've never had the pleasure of using before. The common guest areas were also amazing. A pantry stocked with beverages, and breakfast items which we were able to help ourselves to 24/7. There is a fireplace and even a piano to play in the sitting lounge.Hopefully we didn't annoy the owners to much with that (giggle). It's a very short walk to the quaint village of Skaneatelas where we were able to shop for hours. There were many restaurants from fine dining to casual fare all within walking distance. All of that on one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. I just can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was!!!! We will definitely be back. And thank you so much to the very friendly and accommodating innkeepers Jack and Katie. We will completely understand if you put a lock on the piano when we return. (Giggle)Pamela Rounds

Wonderful.....Wonderful....wonderful. !Took a leap of faith by booking based on reviews to celebrate our annual girls weekend.We booked both suites and had the entire house to ourselves. The artwork in the home is special as well as the furnishings. Katie makes you feel as if you are part of the family. This inn will not disappoint. We booked for next year as we checked out..I think that says it all. Can't wait to return.

My wife and I just LOVED our overnight at 34 State. This place is just perfect with the ambiance of a wonderful historic home in excellent condition. We especially enjoyed their style of B and B...they call it "quiet concierge" meaning you never see the hosts or hear from them unless you need something. It is really nice if you do not like having breakfast at a set time with people you do not know (they have a pantry where you get your cereal, yogurt etc. when you want it). We have had some really weird hosts in the past and some of the breakfast conversations were "odd" to say the least. Location is perfect just off the main street with all the shops etc. Really a perfect place for a quiet, high quality stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a romantic getaway, and we loved every second. Even though we live close by it was a nice escape from our daily lives. We loved that the room was spacious and evem had its own sitting rooms. The innkeepers were very helpful of we needed them, but gave us our privacy which we loved. I would highly recommend 34 State!!

This place is great! The location is super close to downtown and the back patio is very nice to relax in after a long day on the lake. Katie really knows how to make you feel like you're home.

True to it's Name - we stayed in the Barrow Suite for a long weekend. Our suite was beautifully decorated with personal touches; spacious; and luxury bed linens, towels, and toiletries. I would highly recommend 34 State.

Located in historic center of Skaneateles, walking distance to everything. Beautifully decorated rooms and house. Owners knowledgeable about the town, restaurants, activities and a pleasure to have as hosts. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to visit the Fingerlakes.

This is a gorgeous home in a lovely town. The hosts have provided any and all amenities you could wish for. We had a fantastic stay and would certainly consider staying again and again. Can't thank you enough!
