Labor Day weekend my fuel pump went bad on Route 111, and AAA towed it to this clown. I paid the guy $1k in cash (for a $200 discount off credit card payment) to fix the fuel pump. When I picked up the car, it started fine, but I could barely put the car in gear (manual transmission). Not only did he or someone from his shop destroy my transmission, they drained it of all transmission fluid, ground the gears to death, but he also had installed a faulty fuel pump, AND left the engine cover off, which is now forever gone. $1000 cash into the wind; getting repairs re-done now by my trustworthy regular mechanic who has to fix the errors of this guy.Avoid this shop.

Romeo took care of check engine soon light by listing and correcting all mechanical problems on my Nissan altima. He even gave my husband a list we could do ourselves to save money. This mechanic is an honest and trustworthy mechanic whom i highly recommend.

We bough our car used from them last year, no problems there. Tonight i managed to lock my keys in my trunk they were there within 15 mins and had my doors open in less than 5. Plus charged a quater of what other companies quoted me. Steve the driver who helped me was friendly and professional and i will be calling him the next time i lock myself out.

My wife was with the kids on the LIE with a flat tire. Didn t have a spare so they needed a tow. Dave went above and beyond to take care of the situation and help my family. You don t see that kind of awesome customer service much anymore these days. It was greatly appreciated!!

They were sent through AAA and they are the worst. I had a flat tire. The first guy to come Larry, said he can patch my tire. I had the spare under my tire, I told him I don t want to wake up at 6:30am to go to work and have a flat again. Is he sure this is going to work. He said yes it s work for everyone else, except for one lady who insists on running over nails. Wake up the next morning, the tire is flat.I call again the next day, and get a different guy. He said he s a professional he will exchange the tire for the spare. First he can t get the spare off, so my husband goes down and helps him but I said forget. They re were working on the tire for about an hour. I said we will just call a tow truck and have it taken to a shop to have the tire fixed. He goes to move his jack for my husbands and his jack fails. My truck falls, the technician is almost crushed. My axle looks bent and broken. I asked what happened he said his jacked crunched under it. He showed me his jack and there are split lines on it. I asked why he would put his jack under it if it couldn t hold the weight and he said it could but obviously something happened for it to fail. The tow truck comes and takes it to a shop. I call the shop the next day and the mechanic said my control arm is broken. I call the company who is responsible for it falling and he said he also spoke to the mechanic and he said it was rusted through. It might have even been broken already. So this company is irresponsible, incompetent and now lying. They are refusing to pay for their incompetence. With a control arm broken my truck would have been banging, steering wheel vibrating and maybe even driving recklessly . So with two small children (3 and 1) they think it was already broken?! Worse service and company I ve ever dealt with.

STAY AWAY!!! I've been going there for a long time and thought they cared about me and my family. WHAT A FOOL I AM. I spoke with Romeo and told him my mother in-law's car needed work done.. Prior to her passing she gave the car to my son. It needed a break job and work done on the muffler. Rotors and pads and a flex pipe for the exhaust system. Romeo told me he would tow the car to his shop for me. I told him I can drive the car to the shop and that it didn't need towing. He said, "don't worry, I'll be in your town tomorrow night so I can pick it up and tow it for free". I still told him no but he insisted. Thinking that they still cared I allowed him to tow the car. After getting an outrageous price quote today, I told him not to do any work and that I'd be coming to pick the car up. I did just that and Romeo wasn't happy and wanted to charge me $95 for towing the car. "Really Romeo? Let's not go there because you told me you'd pick the car up and tow it to your shop for me when I didn't ask you to. I've been coming here for almost 10 years and have sent other people to your shop". He shewed me away with his hand and said "just take the car"While driving home I merged onto the LIE. I went 1/4 mile when the HOOD POPPED UP AND LEFT ME UNABLE TO SEE ANYTHING. IT SCARED ME TO DEATH. THE SOUND IT MADE WAS LIKE A SONIC BOOM. THE HOOD OF THE CAR WEIGHS ABOUT A HUNDRED LBS. WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU LOCK THE HOOD AND WHY WERE YOU UNDER THE HOOD ANYWAY???My husband and son came to get me. My husband was able to get the hood to lock and drive it home. The hood is totally destroyed thanks to this terrible auto repair shop.. A car that my mother in-law wanted passed down to her grandson has now been wrecked because of their WRECKLESSNESS!!NEVER AGAIN!

BAD BAD BAD. I was towed here with my car in limp mode, and they almost immediately diagnosed it as needing a 3700$ transmission rebuild. Skeptical, I drove the car over to my local repair shop, which promptly ran some diagnostics, rebooted the car computer and changed the transmission fluid for 100$. Three weeks and 500 miles later, I've had ZERO problems whatsoever, no engine lights, nada. So, I can only realistically conclude that the Smith Point Auto Repair guys are- incompetent- negligent-scammersYou choose which one is worse. Either way, avoid the place like the plague, and if you need a tow in the Mastic area, pay a little more to go somewhere else - anything beats this dump.

Terrible. Grease monkeys drove my car home for personal use. Driver and passenger left grease dirt and soot in and on my interior. I caught them trying to replace unnecessary parts. The mirror inside the sun visor ia broken. Stay away.
