Today on my way to see a patient for work, my car battery died on William Floyd Pkwy. After having gotten it started again, I safely and slowly drove it to the nearest auto shop which happened to be J&R s, not my regular shop. I took a chance because I didn t have many other options and I m very glad that I did. I was immediately greeted by whom I assume to be the R , Richie, a wonderful guy who is super knowledgeable. He came right out front with me and inspected the battery. No call ahead, no appointment, he took my car right in to be looked at. Now, being a (young) woman walking into an auto body shop can certainly be intimidating, but Richie s shop was nothing less than welcoming. Definitely on the older, more experienced side of things, the shop has a more hard working, local feel to it. I felt completely safe and heard when conversing with Richie, he was very patient. The car was timely fixed and ready for me out front. Richie explained to me what he did and how it helped my car get back to the roads. If you get the chance to take the chance at J&R s, I d say do it. Thanks Richie for making my already not nice day a little nicer, the sign above the door that read it is what it is reminded me in that moment that it REALLY is what it is.

I highly recommend J & R Auto Body Shop to anyone who is in need of an honest, reliable and cost-efficient mechanic. I worked closely with Richie for the past two weeks and have nothing but good things to say about him. He was in constant contact with me, letting me know what was going on with my SUV. He shopped around to get me the best prices knowing my financial constraints. He fixed issues wrong with my car that other mechanics botched. He couldn t have made this process any easier for me and I appreciate all their hard work. They respond to any questions/concerns in a timely manner and look out for your best interests. He explained things to me so I understood them. They even offer transport to & from shop to your house, if you re local. Not only are these good mechanics but they are also good people! I ll be using them from now on, as I know my SUV will be in good hands.

You couldn't find a more honest and efficient repair shop. I discovered this place through Google reviews and i have not been disappointed. They perform a thorough and honest review and they do a good job. The prices are very fair. They will not upsale services that are not needed. I recommend this location to anybody. Richie and Tommy are fantastic.

Thank you for you help with everything with my RAV4 it s been a nightmare since the truck was totaled. Thank you for your kind words and for future help! It s more appreciated than you will ever know! Definitely utilize J&Rs services they are quick super friendly, and helped me get the few items left in my vehicle and took plates off for me. My father in law brings his pickup truck here everytime for repairs, Rich is fair in price and is professional and efficent. Would recommend to anyone needing a good reliable mechanic. My father law always says he is glad he found him

We need more mechanics like Richie. He's a genuine guy and it shows in his work. I hit a deer a few months ago and Christmas was right around the corner. He knew I had a small child at home and needed my vehicle for work and made sure I had it back in time for the holidays.

I would highly recommend J & R Body Repair for any repairs your vehicle may require - minor or major. Rich is very informative and helpful. He is nice, professional and handled communication with my insurance company gracefully. My car runs great and I couldn t be happier with the service provided.

I would highly recommend J&R auto body &Repair. Of Shirley . I bought my car in and Rich was so nice and pleasant to talk to .He told me what I needed and how much everything would cost . He even told me some things my old mechanic I was using what he was not doing right . This was very helpful.I was very happy with my car repairs . My car runs great now .I had my timing belt done , water pump , my anti freeze changed and another belt changed. Most of all my front head lights look great because they were so bad and fuzzy you could not see my lights that well at night. Once these were done I was so happy cause the lights looked better than ever. Now people can see me coming down the road. I will definitely be bringing my car back for more work now and in the future. Bye ! Bye old mechanic . I would rate this business a five out of five . I just got a flat while I was out working. I was on my way to a shop I've used over and over. I just so happened to see J&R's on the way and decided to stop there. I'm glad that I did. Richie was outside and seen me and assessed the problem before I even got out of the car. He sent Jason out right away to address my flat. I was also driving on a spare and he asked before fixing it if he could plug the other tire for me, which I really appreciated. They had plugged and put both tires on within 10 minutes! Super fast, and reliable. I will be coming back here for future car repairs and highly recommend them.Service: Tires

Richie and his crew are the best! I have been using them for about 5 years now. Richie is the most honest mechanic I have ever used, he will tell you what needs to be done right now and what can wait. He is more than fair and is not the kind of mechanic who is looking to get every penny he can out of you. I highly recommend him to everyone!

These guys have been nothing but excellent. I had an accident with my Volkswagen Passat where most of my front end needed to be replaced. The car looks better now than before the collision. Someone hit my car while exiting a 711. Had the driver side bumper was dented. They worked with my insurance and replaced the bumper painted it to match the car and my baby looks better then ever. The best auto body shop Ive ever been too. The staff is so kind, the turn around time is Immaculate!! I had a bubble on my tire and they got it fixed for me within a day span. They communicated everything and were spot on to finish time to a T. They are amazing and the only place I ll be going too for my cars forever! The owner i believe, he gave me all the details on how to go about doing my insurance claim after my car accident. because it was my first claim ever i wouldn t have even known where to start! And thankfully, everything went as smoothly as i hoped. Thank you J&R!
