I arrived just before 9 this morning to receive my inspection and my oil change. I was greeted warmly by Scott who was in the front end Lobby, he was very courteous, he was very friendly and he was able to help me right away with what I needed and checked me right in. It was a very inviting place to be because it allowed you to relax and not worry about what needed to be done and it was very professionally run.I'm going to now talk about the experience with my vehicle. This was also a great experience the tech that worked on my vehicle was excellent he was well informed he knew exactly what he was doing he was the one that performed the inspection on my vehicle and was very thorough. He also performed the oil change and also performed all the other text that needed to be done including the air filters in which he did find something that needed to be changed which was both air filters. Normally they would try to push items on to you while they're working on the vehicle that was not so in this case they let me know that the vehicle passed inspection but did need to get tires eventually and expressed concern that although they did pass the tires did seem like they were on the very cusp of not passing so they recommended that I get them replaced as soon as possible I thought that was excellent of them because they could have very easily just said while you need to replace them now but they didn't they were honest, and honesty goes a long way with me.Overall my experience there was an excellent one I truly enjoyed the conversation I had with Scott and during the wait for my vehicle the knowledge that the tech had was Bar None when it came to my vehicle and what needed to be done with it and the professional courtesy that was given to me and expressed in this facility was very much appreciated. If you ever need to have work done on your vehicle, I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for listening.

Update from 6/922After my previous review (below), Scott (the manager) reached out to me about my concerns. He understood why I was frustrated and gave me a partial refund as well as a coupon for a free oil change. We discussed my interactions with his staff, which he acknowledged needed to be improved. I was impressed by his responsiveness and his desire to maintain me as a customer and overall desire for customer satisfaction.I know that it has been a challenging time for businesses as whole in hiring staff and the automobile repair industry has been particularly challenged since they need trained employees. Based on today's visit, I am absolutely willing to give them another chance.Original Review (6/7/22)I have previously used this location and had good experiences, but I think they must be under new ownership, and their service was abysmal. I brought in my son's car for a free tire rotation and alignment check. First, they had no record of our appointment so what should have been a 30 minute appointment took most of the day. Then they could not get the lug nut off (even though the brakes had been changed last week so they were not rusted on) and then when trying to replace the studs, something stripped so they had to replace the hub as well. Net cost to me $320 for a free tire rotation. When I complained, they made no effort to improve the situation (like maybe discounting the labor). Needless to say, we won't be back.

Scott was a huge help when I was charged twice for my service because of a computer system issue the day of my service. I notified him as soon as I noticed the extra charge and he resolved the issue within 24 hours. He kept me informed of his progress and followed up to make sure my account was credited. I have been going to this Goodyear for many years and it has always been a great experience!

Dropped car off in the morning for oil change and inspection. Told them no rush and that I couldn't pick it up till end of day. They still got it taken care of pretty quickly.

Amazing service - came in multiple times to get my car checked and Scott was incredibly helpful during all of those times. Last time I came in, they suggested doing my oil change and it was done right on the spot. Even made sure my oil change was cost efficient too! If you live in Schenectady/Niskayuna area, do yourself a favor and come here for all your car needs.

I would like you to know about the really great personal service Mr. Scott Pincher, (Service Manager at 3713 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304), provided my son and I over the course of the past 24 hours. �When I phoned Scott to inquire about the price of a set of tires I was being quoted by a different Goodyear store on Day 1, he explained how I could save money by applying for and obtaining a Goodyear credit card. �Even though it was getting close to the end of the business day, (and he was probably busy), he was very patient and professional and took valuable time to answer all of my questions in a kind manner.As a result of his attitude over the phone and concern for our best interests, we brought our car to him early the next day to have it fitted with 4 brand new Goodyear tires. �When he said he could also accomplish a 4-wheel alignment right away, we were thrilled in that it saved us from making a second trip to his location. �Knowing the car is now in alignment, means we can get the best use of this new set of tires.Not only did Scott do a great job, he also kept us informed regarding what he was observing and doing each step of the way. �Yes, it took an extra few minutes to do this, but this occasional interaction made us feel very comfortable during the entire process.We also appreciate the option of waiting in the waiting area while the car was being worked on.Finally, he made sure I had a copy of the Invoice by Emailing it to me. �I cannot emphasize enough how pleased my son and I are with his thoroughness and professionalism. �He is several cuts above other Managers. Recently went with a family member to this location and it's nothing like it was when Ryan was there. After hearing my family member get scolded for driving unsafe and not coming in sooner (which was unknown to the customer) and that there's no way they can take the car home tonight (had been there about 3 hours), the next day they send them home with the same "unsafe" parts on the car. They weren't told of any issues until after it was too late to stop them for the night, it was too late to get a rental, and wasn't given the cost estimate until we were walking out the door. The cost was very expensive and seemed way too high, but they insisted this is with a discount. They also promised it would be ready first thing the next morning. I brought them to pick it up the next morning and the car was far from ready. Once completed the mechanic Kerry told him the cost was about half, as it turns out they didn't need to replace those "unsafe" parts after all. So the question is: did they want to increase their sales by doing work that wasn't necessary? Or were they trying to avoid a cost complaint and used the same parts that may be "unsafe"? Regardless, we won't be going back there after 25+ years of loyalty.

Scott did an amazing job on my Dodge Caravan. My 2 back tired were bald. I was quoted a great price. Only took a little over an hour. He explained everything he was doing & what he recommended be done in the near future. I would recommend him if you come to this location.

Scott was very accommodating. I shared my concerns with him about my vehicle and he was great at addressing my issues. He even squeezed my vehicle in that afternoon to do an alignment as I was making a 2,000 mile trip in a few days. This is my second time using this shop and both experiences were great. It's my go to.

Ryan was very friendly and helpful when we first needed to buy tires. He ordered them and on Monday went to have the tires installed and met Scott. He was extremely professional and made sure all my needs were met. I am new to the area and Scott made the experience an easy and nonstressful one. Would certainly go there again.

Goodyear auto service was amazing. I worked Scott Pincher, who from the beginning was awesome. He helped me find the best deal on tires, ordering them directly from corporate. When I dropped my car off at the wrong shop, Scott without hesitation went to pick my car up and brought it in for the work. He kept me updated throughout the whole time, letting me know what else my car needed without being pushy. Of all the places I called to get a quote on new tires, Goodyear auto service was the best priced and one of the few places who actually called me back. High recommend!

Scott took great care of us today. He called to make sure we remembered our appointment. Scott then had the tires on our car ahead of schedule. He and the service techs made us aware of the brake condition as well as some other items on the car so we could plan for the work to be done at the next appointment. Thank you to everybody that works at the Schenectady Goodyear store. Love the tires. Love the service.

This place has been my go to for almost 10 years! I couldn't possibly say enough good things about them. Ryan and Scott are always phenomenal and make sure my car is well taken care of! I've had my fair share of car issues and they have made it a breeze to get it all fixed. If you want awesome service, go to the Goodyear in Schenectady!!

Went for a routine inspection of $21.00 and came out charged for almost $140.00 . The claim a dirty air filter and ripped wiper blades. I have a 2019 Honda CR-V, mind you , we just had a winter snow storm, I cleaned snow off the car my wipers were fine! I asked to see they looked like it was slashed. While in the waitingroom another women was doing the same thing, getting an inspection and she asked why they taken the filters on out in the first place,it's not required. She says she will not be coming back. My father recommended this place andthat's why I went there bc it's supposed to be reputable, but I could have went to jiffy lube, or vavaline where they do those shenanigans . I'm really surprised but that's what mechanics do to women, who want to maintain their cars.I can't imagine what kind of prices , they would come up with God forbid for car repairs! I am genuinely shocked and disgusted! Not to mention absolutely outraged! Lost my business forever! womentrtheir cawould have to face if it was a repair job! I'm thoroughly shocked and disgusted, and genuinely outraged!m

Scott is great guy! He will pour his heart out to help you...any tires you're looking for and always with great smile, he has a sense of humor...me and my son always bring the cars here for Good year tires! Recommended for everyone to come here for new tires and services.

I ve been going to this Goodyear since moving to the area in 2018. They ve put on a few new tires, done inspections and other fixes (brakes, bearings) to my 2011 Highlander. Ryan is great at managing the front and Scott and his team provide great service to my car. They are thorough, super helpful and finish the jobs when they promise. I recommend them 100%!

Great fast and friendly service. I travel for work and not having my car for a long period of time would be inconvenient; however, I got new tires within 3 hours. Great job Scott and the team at Good Year in Niskayuna NY

Sales associate Scott P & technician Joseph M were truly outstanding. Detailed description, review Ian s explanation of the work including pricing and ways to access deals, service, discounts and rebates while ensuring 3 year tire replacement, lifetime balance, rotation & alignment. They also uncovered a brake pad that was not properly functioning & needed immediate replacement .They did a great job on the phone and in person with 6 other clients. Personable, professional, knowledgeable and made everyone feel valued

Great job done here by Scott's crew! Got 2 new tires & they also found some serious issues, I need fixed upon inspection. Would definitely recommend this location. I will be returning here for any future inspection & tires. Great job guy's!!

Best service ever, period. Had a flat tire & had called around for assistance and the average wait was 2-4 hours. I called Goodyear & they brought me in right away to help repair my tire and put it back on. Kind and helpful people. Absolutely will be back!

This was my second visit to this Goodyear location. Scott, once again, provided timely and knowledgeable service. The communication was great. I felt confident that my truck was being well cared for. I will definitely be back for any future maintenance needs.

Excellent customer service. Ryan works incredibly hard with every customer. Even though they had 2 service technicians sick on the day of my visit, Ryan worked himself, even staying late, to make sure we received first class service. Kudos to Ryan and thank you for everything.

They did a NYS inspection on my Tesla Model 3. Despite being short staffed, they fit me In immediately. Store manager Ryan Simmons took great care of me and I was in and out in a flash. Thanks to you and your team. Quick, efficient, professional.

When traveling in the area, I had a tire blow and needed a new tire right away. Although the store was very busy Scott worked out a time and a process that worked perfectly for me. I was very impressed with the customer service and efficiency. I only hope that I find a similar customer experience in my local Goodyear shop so that I don t have to make that 200 mile trip for my next set of tires. Thanks Scott!

These guys are the best! Scott P. and his crew came to my rescue on a super cold November day. My vehicle died and needed to be towed to a shop where it turned out the starter needed to be replaced. This Goodyear shop was closest and I'm glad it was here. They were very professional and understanding of the situation. Once the issue was diagnosed they walked me through the repair, cost and how long it would take. By the end of the day I was told my vehicle was ready and the cost for repair was on point. I would highly recommend this Goodyear shop to handle whatever your vehicle needs. If repairs were this easy, I would imagine tires would be to!
