I was stuck in Scarsdale when steam was coming out of the hood of my Jeep , and l am not from the area, l asked my phone about a repair shop near my location, and l was given few places, l called the first one, was answer machine, l called the second number, it was somebody who was yelling at someone, and asked me if l have cash , then l called JC auto repairs, and Amy answered, and she asked me if l was OK, and if l needed to be towed, and l should check my insurance carrier if l qualified for roadside assistance, otherwise she will recommend someone, and l was connected with Mike, he was equally courteous, informing, and assuring. When l reached the place with my towed car, Mike told me to go to the office upstairs, and make myself comfortable, that s when l met Amy, Papa John, the owner, who told me not to worry, and the car will be fixed, and it will be done the next day, and he told me how much it will cost, and actually drove me to the train station to go to NYC. I went back when John called to pick up the car, and everything was done and more. I am amazed how this family business is running efficiently, with customer services that do not exist with this industry. Kudos to you John, and all your family, and staff

The folks at J.C. Auto are amazing, professional, and honest. They have my business as long as I live in the area, and absolutely trust them to take care of my GT350.Thank you again for taking care of me so quickly on my minor issue, I will be back for all my maintenance and repair concerns in the future that I am not able to handle myself!

I had the battery on my Mazda CX-5 changed today at JC Auto Repairs. Mike and John are super helpful.This is a great place to go for auto repairs. Highly recommended!

Primarily I went to have an inspection, but I also let them know that there's always a noise whenever it rains or right after the rain. They fixed the noise problem free of charge since it was a minor thing to do. They also let me know that at some point the links for the stabilizer need to replaced. I scheduled an appointment for the replacement and there's also the price on it, which is very helpful so that I'm aware of how much it would cost. Of course I don't have to pay anything until the work is done.Just moved into the neighborhood last year, and will certainly become a regular customer going forward!Services: Exhaust, Vehicle Inspection

John, Mike, Jeff and their veteran team of pros have cared for my valued ride for over 9 years. I think they treat her better than their own rides. Several times over the years they told me not to spend money repairing when it didn't need it. This year, the subframe and suspension finally required some major rehab and they pulled thru with 10 stars. If you rarely need to return for a final adjustment they might apologize even if it's not their fault, recognizing that your time is money too! It's no wonder to see Manahattan or even Florida transpants continue servicing their cars in Scarsdale. Those who recognize the best keep going back because distance is no object.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Auto brake repair, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto tire replacement, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto brake replacement

I just moved to the area from the Bronx. I had a fantastic mechanic down there and am loathe to drive 40 minutes to someone I trust. Good thing I checked in with Google and came here based on the reviews. Several things.1. The people here are fantastic! Everyone's family. I met JC's daughter who's worked here her whole life, and her brother is one of the mechanics. It's such a wholesome place.2. I came here for an inspection. They checked everything and even noticed that one of my wipers was horrible (which it was). I mean, who the hell checks windshield wipers?? They were so thorough!3. They replaced my wipers and their prices were excellent.JC you found a new repeat customer.

Excellent, ethical auto repair facility. I needed routine maintenance on my out-of-warranty bmw. All service was done in a timely manner at a surprisingly fair price. Was advised to hold off on replacing my brake pads as the owner thought I'd get a couple thousand more miles out of them. On a separate visit, they fit me in on short notice just before closing to fix a flat. I wish I new about this place earlier.

This place is amazing! Look no further if you're trying to find a repair place. I have odd work hours and needed to get my car checked out and they accomodated me on a very short notice. They were also very professional, kind and honest. You could tell they were not trying to rip you off and gave honest advice regarding what is and isn't wrong with the car even if meant not so much of a profit on their end.

You will find no better place to bring your car. You can rest assured that John and his crew, which includes his family, will take care of you and make sure your car is running in tip top shape. Our family has been going to John for 43 years and I would go no where else to service my car. No where. I would give him 10 stars if I could

This shop came highly recommend from a big time car guy who has a small fleet of cars. Another friend took his more than a decade old Audi A4 wagon and their diagnosis was spot on the repair seems to have been done well. The costs was a fraction of what the dealership estimate was. My personal experience was taking my wife's 2018 Discovery Sport for regular maintenance. Their estimate was a third of what the dealership wanted to charge me for the basic service and my car is still under warranty! Here's the best part. They serviced it for a fraction of the cost but pointed out a suspension issue and advised that I take it back to the dealership because this wasn't normal wear and tear and the suspension arm was faulty. This shop is a keeper! Nice guys and seem to service a wide range of brands from non luxury to luxury.

JC Auto Repairs is the ABSOLUTELY BEST place to take your car to be repaired! My famiky have been loyal customers for over thirty years and while we now live in Manhattan, i still bring our car in for all repairs! JC Auto also stores our snow tires and puts them on every fall and then replaces them with our tires in the spring. Over the years, John has helped recommend which cars we should buy as well as recently urged us to buy our car off of our lease. I think we know that not all car repair businesses are created with the same level of ethical standards . I m sure we all know of friends who have been ripped off or had unnecessary work done on cars. However in over three decades of being a customer of JC Auto, I ve only experienced excellent service and recommended them to all of my friends and colleagues. If you bring your car in for a service that will require more than an hour of work, John , Michael or one of his mechanics will drive you home and pick you up when your car s ready! Over the years my adult daughters have not only returned to JC Auto for repairs on their cars, but when one of them lived out west and wasn t sure that the estimate for a repair was fair, she contacted John who not only agreed but found a more reputable repair shop in her neighborhood! JC Auto specializes in repairing very classy automobiles but pays as much attention to my Toyota as he does to the luxury vehicles.

The owner, John, is someone you can trust. He's a straight shooter. He runs a smooth operation. JC Auto Repairs has an excellent reputation in the area for being fair and doing quality work in a timely manner. They always do their best to accomadate my schedule. They are willing to pick me up and drop me off. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this place. I wouldn't waste my time writing this if it wasn't true.

I drove my car into knee-deep water where it stalled. With help it was immediately pushed back to part of the street above water. Trying to start it, at least one cylinder seemed to fire but the car would not start. For 3 weeks the car was in the street in sometimes hot weather but attempts to strat it always ended in exactly the same way.I then called nearby repair shops. One said that the car needs a new engine. At Central Avenue Hyundai, where I had the car serviced for many years, the person answering the phone said that 20 water damaged cars that had been brought in had to be junked. When I asked to talk to one of their service managers, I was told to have the car towed in first.I also called J. C., 166 Summerfield St, Scarsdale, because it was highly recommended by a friend and had excellent reviews. They were of course overwhelmed with work but agreed to have the car towed there. After about 10 days they managed to get the car started but wanted me to wait for it to dry before picking it up.Weeks later the car was dryer and I picked it up.. Mr. Casale warned me that wet carpets get moldy and mold can damage my health. I now drive only locally, a few minutes at a time, I am willing to risk that. Mr. Casale also wanted to charge me a very low amount for his services. It would have cost me many hundreds and quite possibly thousands of dollars if I had taken the car elsewhere, I felt honor bound to pay more than what he asked.Service: Engine repair

Whenever I take any of my vehicles in for repair or maintenance, I know that when I leave there my car is going to be reliable. My wife and daughter drive the cars and I know that they are safe from mechanical failure. They do a complete inspection of your car when it goes in for servicing.The customer service is second to none.
