wife and I stayed here for three nights, absolutely no issues. great room with cathedral ceilings, bright and well lit. The room was big enough for two beds with a small kitchenette and a small bathroom. The linens are high quality and the room was clean upon check-in. The parking is the best you can get, directly outside your door. The pool is highly maintained and crystal clear. The fact that they are pet friendly is great, and there's a good dog walking area and a trash barrel. The location is central to all of the best of the Hamptons and they offer a town beach pass which is less than 5 minutes away and also has easy parking. this really is the hidden gem of the area, pride of ownership shows throughout with well-maintained grounds and responsive staff. we got back from an event pretty late at night, probably 11:00 pm, and we had a problem with our key, The front desk responded timely and handled the situation. (it was completely my fault, I was using a wrong key). can't say enough good things about the place. give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

The manager at this property racially profiled us! I m at lost for words! She refused to honor our reservation that was made on Expedia saying that it looks suspicious and it has an international phone number and a weird email address. I contacted Expedia and they are also not sure what that manager claimed to be seeing, because it has all of the correct information. The manager then went on to say we made a reservation the previous day and didn t show and she wait an extra half hour to accommodate us. First of all that reservation was canceled. It s not anyone s fault why your system or whatever didn t update. And also, since she claimed it be sitting and waiting, why not calling the guest, wouldn t that be smart?Exactly, all lies. We asked for a sensible explanation as to why she won t honor the reservation and she started victimizing herself. Saying she can t handle this and it s too much for her. I m at lost for words! I m black and you treated me unfairly! I m so surprised, I didn t know someone could really treat another person poorly for no reason. It s as if nothing I said was credible or it didn t matter to her. She dismissed me. I have never experienced racial discrimination before until today. Wainscott Inn, I m appalled and heartbroken with your general manager! This is totally unacceptable!

Very courteous and helpful staff. However, despite of its favorable location, the state of the room ruined everything. While I understand it's a budget motel, but the rooms, decor, furnishing were very outdated and old. Bathroom was extremely small and claustrophobic. The bright lights in the patio can't be turned off... making it impossible to sleep.

Location is great, didn't have to fight much traffic - but that is the only good thing to say. The room was so outdated and not well maintained. The bathroom was super tiny with a tiny shower stall. The TV was small and mounted high on the wall - making it feel extra small. No breakfast. The pool was closed when we got there. Emailed the Inn prior to my stay and it stated I would receive a response within 24 hours but I never did get a response - I had to call a few times to get through instead. A giant spider was living on the high ceiling inside the room - no possibility of even reaching it to get rid of it on our own. Would not recommend

We stayed here during high season out east and while the location was great and rate one of the lowest for this time of year - the experience left a lot to be desired. At $250+ per night - mildew in the bathroom, hair in the shower, and scuffed/chipped furniture it was not ideal. The kitchenette in the room was the highlight (microwave, fridge, coffee, sink) and the room itself was spacious. The outdoor pool was also great - as well as the access to beach passes. The worse part, however, was the WiFi which was down for the entirety of our stay. We were told it was "fixed" and informed that we were the only ones having issues ... our next door neighbors asked us if we were having trouble and informed us that they too had been told they were the only ones having issues. I get that WiFi issues are often out of our control - but to have no cell service (in a dead zone) and no WiFi for 4 days with no apologies/etc. was a bit of a challenge.

I d avoid this place if possible.Comically overpriced for what it is. The room is a small, damp, motel-like room, and has mold in the showers (see picture) yet it costs $250/night. The wifi is unreliable/sometimes nonexistent and the rooms are in a cell phone dead zone (confirmed for T-Mobile and Verizon at least), which leads to a lot of frustration. And the owner is quite unfriendly and acts as though you are doing him a favor by paying to stay at the inn.

It's just so peaceful and scenic . the gentleman that runs the Inn is super nice. Hospitality is above and beyond in the main guest house , quaint accommodations and lovely continental breakfast. The pool is a great addition, it's a relaxing place , yet close to town.I highly recommend!!!

what a awful experience staying for 2 nights at this dump called the Wainscott Inn there is no option for 0 or minus stars which would be my choice the place is nothing short of motel 6 even worst, there is no staff, the rooms are gross and very dirty, you dont even want your feet to touch the floor, the furniture in the room is all broken down and the whole place has not been touched in 40 years, however they charge $900 for 2 nights. I dont recommend this place to anyone and shame on the owners to run such a poor business and have no respect for the people that by accident stay in the place. the place is a complete junk.

Yikes - this place is the Bates hotel but one hopes to be murdered after setting foot in the room. Well located but expensive.

Tried to book a reservation and Jim was the rudest individual I have ever spoken with when trying to make a reservation - Here is my favorite quote from Jim "You are not listening to me" Really??? Who treats a potential client that way? Over priced and rude not a good combo!

Had a great time at this cozy inn which was quite private. Lovely place for the summer wher one would be a quick drive away from the beach
