This is an honest garage! Which is few and far between nowadays. I love local family ran, small businesses, such as Mike Jr. s! Especially when the business has that family owned/operated, environment , even more-so when it comes to auto repair! He s been in business for years!! The mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly as well as the front desk clerk(s), if it s a last minute thing, they will do their best to get you in, (call ahead to be sure.) If you ever have to wait, it s worth it, as your vehicle WILL be taken care of right, and you ll feel welcome! Unlike the franchise competitors! You aren t just a dollar $ign!

They were very attentive to detail, noticing that my inspection sticker was expired, doing the inspection and replacing it. Thank you for that. I ve lived in Rome 2.5 years and was nervous taking my car anywhere. I'm glad I brought it here.

Had to get my car towed, and this shop was subcontractors for my car brand roadside assistance. Driver showed up and was professional and nice. We had some trouble with the manual key preventing us from putting the car in neutral, so the driver went and got a different truck that would allow him to still tow the truck without damaging it.

Been calling to talk about a vehicle to buy and last he said was to make an offer. Mind you he was telling this through the secretary and wouldn t actually pick up the phone for himself. I wanted to take a look at it so I did. The vehicle wasn t running, the window was stuck open and the interior was being weathered, there s a hole in the floor and needs a floor pan and there s 1/8 inch flakes coming off the frame so I tried calling over and over to make an offer and was being told he s not there every time. They had given him my number two times and he ignored it. They had me shoot an offer and ignored it. He must think it s worth its weight in gold like those I know what I got guys. Then the last time I called they said he wasn t there and I happened to drive by on my way home from work a few minutes later and there he was right out front. This is completely unprofessional to treat people like that when you run your own business and should have the respect to call somebody and not ignore them and waste everyone s time. I d hate to ever bring my vehicle there to be repaired now that I see the lack of communication he s demonstrated and don t want my vehicle being towed by such unprofessional negligence to customers.

I would like to say that the branco wasnt listed for sale in the first place. And your acting like its a brand new vehicle. Why would you write a review when you never done bussiness with me before. This is more of a reason why im glad I didnt sell it to you beacuse you obviously have no probelm leaving bad reviews on people you never done buisness with.- Mike Jrs Auto Repair

Broke down in Rome NY on busy intersection rpd called jr's for tow driver said they would look at in morning never heard from for three days.called back Lady at front counter was very rude she said the mechanic looked at it but was off when I called no call from anybody finally got tired of run around had to have them tow to dealership.they then charged me 200.00 dollars for tows and 600.00 dollars for it sitting outside his shop.beware of this place he would only deal in cash.will never use his service again.once again beware.

Got towed there by a cop after breaking down near an intersection and then got charged for storage fees when they were not open over the weekend this was after they said all I had to pay was towing fees do not go to this con man when asked why so much in storage fees after they didn t even look at it he said I don t care I charge what I want and said it had to be in cash

I had a pretty horrible accident, And the car was totaled. Mike Came out to get the car and I didn't really get a chance to introduce myself that night. But when I came the next day to go through the car, I have to say he more than helpful. I didn't know anything about what to do after a wreck and he defined the difference between the inspector and the claims agent. Because of him I had an easier time navigating through this insurance mess. And he did nothing less then look out for my best interests. TY again!

When my car battery died in town, a Good Samaritan gave me Mikes Auto repair number. After I gave them a call, A tow truck was at the breakdown location in 10 minutes, jump started the car and installed a new battery at their shop at 8pm. They didn t charge me for the dispatch or the labor. These guys are extremely kind and helpful.

My van broke down on the way home from Chicago, these guys were really quick to get me towed over for a look. By the next morning they had the parts for my coolant system and I was out of there for very cheap early afternoon. Super friendly, great service! Thank you!!

I was stuck on the side of the road this morning. I called AAA and the driver that arrived was friendly and polite. He towed me to a nearby shop. I m sorry I forgot his name, but he was very considerate and helpful! Just wanted to give him and this business a well deserved shout out!

They are the only ones I trust with my car. When Monroe quoted me $1000 needed in repairs, I brought it to them and found out I had been lied to which I suspected. They make their money honestly And don't try to give you the mechanic slip. The repairs have always been done right the 1st time. Only place I'll go in town.

This is a review for the tow truck. The speed limit on Erie Blvd is 40mph, not 60. Just because you know all the cops doesn't mean you're above the law, but thanks for flashing your hookup lights at me. You'd think with all the accidents you see that you'd not speed.

Who ever answers the phone calls should NOT BE PUTTING CUSTOMERS ON HOLD FOR LONG TIME and clicking on and off .making customers wait!! That s mostly is rude and disrespectful and should have better communication skills to answer s phone calls

Used this company through AAA on Easter to unlock car door. Service guy was very nice and friendly. Spoke with dispatch on phone prior to arrival due to poor service in ADKs and he was also very professional and nice. They drove over an hour to help us because all other local garages were closed for weekend/ holiday. Grateful these guys were open and willing to make the trip, would recommend!

Honest and excellent service! Excellent staff and an asset to Rome, NY. I was talking with my wife the day before her vehicle went in and estimated what it would cost if it was the wheel bearing so we could plan our budget for the rest of the month. It was and he came in right at that number.

Hadn't been to Mike Jr's for over a year, cuz I no longer had a vehicle. Before that, they did work on my car and never ripped me off. I have an issue with a vehicle I recently got so I stopped to talk to Mike. We agreed on what we thought it was, got an estimate, ordered the part, and made an appointment to have it done. After an hour or so (busy place), Mike told me it wasn't that part after all and explained what it is and what it would cost. When I asked him how much I owed him for his time today, he refused to accept any payment. Now there is an honest, locally owned business man!

Friendly and helpful. Reasonable rates. Informed us every step of the way...even helped us if he could find parts cheaper. He really helped us in our time of need. Got us in and out quickly

From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff waiting to assist you. They are very upfront with costs and most importantly how much it will cost. I found there prices reasonable turnaround time exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone who needs repair work on their car.

Mike jr. Is just a stand-up guy overall. He had multiple opportunities to inflate the charges, try to squeeze out extra money and I even mentioned a higher possible cost than what he actually charged in the end. Point being he could have tried to get more but instead he was fair and very honest. And the work was great. I had Muffler work done among other things but my car sounds so quiet I couldn't tell if it was even running while I was at the gas station. It's super quiet. Lol And I have a Chevy Monte Carlo that used to grumble loudly. But bottom line, Integrity can be hard to find these days, especially with auto shops. Some auto mechanics see an easy upsell or a chance to take advantage from a mile away. But Mike Jr is more focused on doing the right thing by his customers. I walked away very impressed with both the quality of the work that was done and the quality of his character.

Josh and Erica took great care of us on a Friday afternoon 9 hours in to a 12 hour drive. Our van was fixed within 3 hours and with reassurance of warranty from Mike. Thanks for the fun afternoon.

Polite and courteous to your face, but a complete con artist. Did NOT tow my vehicle from the accident site to the shop I requested, but instead towed it to HIS own shop. Then he proceeded to stall and drag his feet and actually lied to me about taking my vehicle to Acchino's like I requested, telling me they "refused" to take it. When I finally went down and paid him to release my vehicle, because he was waiting for his money up front and not from the insurance company, he didn't want to give me a receipt for paying him (so he could double dip from my insurance company too.) I incurred 4 days "storage fees" from this swindler when it should have been a simple tow. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt when a friend told me they didn't trust him. Since my horrid experience with him, people are coming out of the woodwork telling me how crooked he is. I fully concur! DON'T USE THIS CROOK!

These guys saved the day. While driving through the area on the way to the Adirondacks for Labor Day weekend, I discovered a major gas leak on my van - I had gone through more than 25 gallons in 90 miles! I pulled into his shop at 4:45 PM on Friday of Labor Day weekend, van loaded and family in tow. He got the van right in and found the fuel filter had rotted out. At 4:55 he was on the phone with a parts store arranging to have it delivered ASAP. The new part arrived and was installed, and by 5:45 we were back on the road! The service was excellent, reasonably priced and obviously fast! If I lived closer, this would be my go-to mechanic!

They do good work the only problem I see is he needs 6 make that 8 bays in stead of 4 he has a lot of business so what's that tell you it Tell's you he does really good work !!!

I had a flat while trying to drive my children from central NY to Vermont. I called AAA and Hector came to our rescue! He put on the spare and called several tire shops to see if anyone could help us on a Sunday evening since we couldn t make it home on the spare. When that didn t work out he gave us hotel recommendations. So professional and kind!Service: Tires

Solid people all the way around - Mike, his mechanics, Erika - They're slammed everyday, but that just reflects how much in demand, trustworthy auto-repair shops are in the vicinity. Very few and far between.

I just have to give a complete shout out to the owner Mike and his crew especially Hector the mechanic and tow truck driver they were able to help my girlfriend long distance she lived up there they got to her car immediately for me as I tried to help from Florida fixed it in a few hours charged an extremely fair price I couldn't recommend them any higher if you're in the area they definitely are top mechanics!
