Alvin was incredibly understanding of my concerns. Despite immediately identifying the origin of the burnt oil smell my VW was having, he went out of his way to show me that it was not a problem with the transmission fluid, as I had thought.Explained every step of the way and even threw in a little discount for being a first-time customer. Absolutely would recommend.

I had a check engine light issue for my 2001 Honda Prelude that I was suffering with for months that kept me from renewing my registration. After taking the car to different shops and each of them advising me to change various switches and sensors. I took it to the shop for a diagnosis. I was told they would let me know the issue within 3 days. I dropped off the car and instead got a call back a hour later with a diagnostic, issue and quote for repairs.My car was then completed in less than 5 days no check engine light and ready for inspection. I will definitely be returning with my other cars when needed.

I brought my car here for some transmission work. The valve body and transmission cooler line had to be change. I have driven the car for some time and it is running smoothly. I am quite pleased with the level of service I received.

If I can give 0 stars, I would give him negative stars. This guy has absolutely no idea what he s doing. I came in with my car, for a simple inspection. He started talking to me about new throttle body , my catalytic converter , along with other words and phrases that when I went home to google didn t exist. After an hour or two of going back and forth over what I need done, I finally got him to JUST do the inspection, I go to the store up the block and come back and my car is in the car Jack, tires off, and a guy with a blowtorch under it. At this point I was absolutely furious, I go to talk to the guy and he blames it on the worker, which I m almost sure had no clue. I insist that I ll just leave and after 30 mins my car is off the Jack and I go take it to another mechanic, only to find out that the THIS mechanic had done some things that are irreversible. I will be contacting my lawyer for further course of action. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!Service: Vehicle Inspection

Been coming here for over a year now. Done oil changes, change all 4 brake pads, even had them change an old abs module. Every single time I come in this shop always respectful honest and never wasting any time.

Don t even waste your time here. You re never gonna leave the shop with just the issues you came in with. Just prepared for that phone call that your car is not ready because of parts, other issues, and basically just trying to get more money out of you. I ve been here 3 times and I can t understand why I ever went back after my steering pump hose change. Shoulda been just a leaky hose, and turned into a bad pump, pulley, and more. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else.

Best and most humble people working here. They will hook you up with almost anything. Customer service is top tier. You definitely feel the love with these guys they will not overcharge or rob you of anything. Best to these guys!

Quite frankly one of the most honest mechanic shops in queens. I came in for an oil change and Alvin's crew advised me of an oil leak, turns out I needed a valve cover gasket replacement, no wonder I was losing oil every other day. I'm happy they were able to fix my car and get me back on the road 10 out of 10 service.

I highly recommend this shop. I went to different shops around queens paying shops to figure out why my car wasn't starting right up. Alvin has a solid team that did their diagnostic and figured out my fuel injectors were bad on my 2006 toyota tacoma. I will be returning for repairs in the future. Glade I found a shop that knows what their doing.

I am so satisfied with my service at Richmond Auto Repair. Not only was Alvin's service excellent, he and his crew were also speedy, accommodating, and honest. They helped me when my car wouldn't start and needed towing and quickly discovered that a new starter was needed. I had my car completely fixed just a handful of hours later and am confident that I was given a fair price for their hard work. We were very grateful to have our engine coil replaced on short notice, a few hours before closing, on the day before Christmas Eve, when we had a trip planned. $350 might have been a bit much for a Hyundai, and we were not given a receipt.

Chris and his staff are amazing. I have used them for over a year now for various issues with my 20120 Subaru Outback. Everything from oil change to brakes to the big one last week: entire transmission. They got the job done at a fair price and on time. they are good communicators, too. I highly recommend.

I feel like they charged me little bit extra.but I didn t have complain about it because if it was that expensive then they have to take that amount.But I am not happy for other thing that I wanted to pay by card they said machine not working so they sent me to a store atm to get cash for them and said atm will take 1 dollar fee But I had to pay total 13 dollars feeAnd I didn t get my receiptService: Battery

Christian and his team are the best type of mechanics! Experienced and Honest. They always try to give me the best available deal and what will work out best for me. I recently got my fuel filters changed, Fuel pump replaced and oil changed in my F-250 Deisel truck with no issues and at a great price. Finally found great place to go! Very Dependable.

Excellent and honest service. Alvin is very friendly and follows up with you to make sure you know what the situation is (Had to wait on a part, that was ordered for my KIA). Prices are reasonable. Definitely found a "go to" mechanic.

I own a RX 330 and I had a transmission seal issue. I went to two other mechanic places on Liberty Ave and they wanted to rob me. One place wanted $80 just to assess the issue and another place was already saying that it would cost between $500 and $1000!!! Anyways I looked up Richmond Auto Repair on google after that and boy oh boy these guys are the real deal !!! Alvin looked at it and quickly assessed the issue (without charging) and the car was taken care of in a matter of two hours. It cost me a small fraction of what the others wanted. Alvin and his crew are first class!! Ill be a customer for life after this experience !! I IMPLORE ANYONE IN THE WHOLE QUEENS AREA THAT IF OWN A CAR AND ARE HESITATING to take your car to a place because you dont trust them or worried about being overcharged well dont worry, take it straight to these guys. I felt so comfortable with these guys (and they will give you family prices). I never write review but I had to this one time because I hate dishonest car repair places and there just seems to be too many of them out there and thats why Im really swearing that FINALLY I FOUND A PLACE THAT BLOWS the COMPETITION IN PERFORMANCE, CLASS and ETHICS. SO ... After taking your car to Alvin and his guys you will never look anywhere else ever!!! I promise you that. Please visit these guys the next time you have a issue with your car. Richmond auto repair has been repairing all of our company vans, trucks, and pickups for over two years now. Never had any trouble with them and very reasonable on prices. Keep up the good work!
