The Village Motel was a pleasant surprise for our trip to the area. The room was clean and very quiet over night even though they appeared to be fully booked. The check in was very nice. They also called me before I was even 5 minutes out because we had forgotten something of ours. It says it is a 2 star motel, but it has to be on the top end of that based on the service and cleanliness. Price was a little high but I consider within range since it was Memorial Day weekend and Cooperstown had the Hall of Fame Legends game in town. Definitely would use them again.Rooms: The room was nice. Cleaned very well and all amenities you would want in a motel (towels, Refrigerator, microwave etc).

Reserved a room here days ago after calling and asking about check in/out times, and was never told that this ain t a 24/hour establishment. The couple who run the place were pretty rude about it over the phone - and charged us around $300 for a room they refused to even give us because we weren t told that check in is no later than 10pm, apparently. You want to stay somewhere nice where the employees are helpful? Don t bother with this place. They ll take your money and then refuse to give you a room.

We had a one night stay at The Village Motel. The room was very clean. The bathroom was updated. An older motel but very well maintained. Had a mini refrigerator with an actual real freezer, coffee maker, and microwave in the room. Is non-smoking basically on the grounds as well which we had no problem. It has no amenities or breakfast available. But it was a great place for a one night layover. Definitely, would stay here again if the need arose.

The Village Motel in Richfield Springs, NY is a wonderful place to stay. Very close to Cooperstown. The couple that run the motel are so nice, friendly and helpful. The rates are reasonable. The rooms are very clean with modernized bathroom. Beds are very comfortable. Parking is conveniently right outside your room. Highly recommend this motel.

Highly recommend. Passing through town late and needed a place to stop. So glad we happpened upon this Motel. Friendly and polite. SUPER clean. Very comfortable beds and bedding, good lighting, squeaky clean fridge and microwave, good freezer on the fridge!, coffee maker, plenty of chairs and luggage rack, AC remote, good mounted TV, wifi, complimentary water bottles, parking directly in front of door. If we had driven another hour or so to Syracuse it likely would have cost at least another $100 and probably wouldn't have been as nice. Would stay here again.

We love vintage motels. Generally driving through an area and need to stop for an overnight. Clean crisp sheets. The tv volume did not work in room three but I m not a tv watcher much anyway. Clean bathrooms. New Windows I love windows open. The town had a concert at night and the owners let me borrow there chairs! My husband turned on the shower. It was full blast. He did not realize you can adjust it! Problem solved! Great co-op food store with in walking distance. Chinese and friendly bar too. Pizza place delivers to the bar! Lake nearby and also Cooperstown.

Do you like classic motels along the way? Then this place is for you. Old furniture with the classic musty smell? You will love this place. Need a place to crash that is not too expensive with clean rooms? This place is perfect! Be aware of a few things... The town is know for it's sulfur springs that are right across the road... yes it sticks at times. Also the shower head was one of the worst I have seen. It was like being power washed, a thousand needles stabbing me in the face. Other than that... just your typical roadside motel.

We had to cancel at the last minute due to a family heath issue so I asked for a refund- was told no. Then asked for at least a credit for a room in the future and the guy said not my problem and hung up.

It's clean. It has the basics. Firm bed. Utilitarian, but definitely not for a romantic rendezvous. Reminded me of my German grandma's house. You're okay, but behave yourself and don't get wild.

Had a great stay here, very clean room and comfortable bed. Free water bottles in the room was a nice touch. Appreciated the mounted t.v. optimized for watching while laying back in bed before sleeping. Highly recommend to anyone passing through for a few nights!!!

Nice and clean. A little old but definitely worth the price considering prices of other hotels close by

Our room was clean and pleasant! The refrigerator, in the room, and ice machine, in the office, was convenient. There are two chairs outside the room door which was pleasant to sit outside. There is a park across the street, and there happened to be band playing. This motel is a great value and is only 15 miles from Cooperstown. The customer service was outstanding. We will stay here again.

We've stayed here a couple of times. It isn't fancy, but it is clean and quiet and the owners are friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have something for breakfast, or at least coffee in the room, but the price is right even without that amenity.

Slept great super quiet and very comfortable atmosphere. Staff was very friendly cool little town Chinese restaurant down the street was killer. Cooperstown 20 minutes away not a yuppy place for the money highly recommend. Need a cocktail walking distance as well and a convenient store, pizza place and gas station.

Great hotel for a decent price, bed was nice and firm, bathroom was very clean. The only complaint from a personal view would be the shower head, not of my liking but it did its job. Would definitely recommend this place.

The motel was basic and clean and a good price. The owner even drove me half an hour to an auto mechanic, where my car was getting fixed. He offered to drive me without being asked and did not ask for anything in return.

My parents took my son and nephew on a vacation. My Autistic son caught a nasty cold on the way down. His cold left him congested and unfortunately caused him to vomit. The management evicted my family and AUTISTIC SON at 10 pm - after questioning why they d take other people s children anywhere. My family was forced to drive until midnight to find lodging. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY MORALS OR FAMILY THAT MIGHT BECOME ILL.
