I'd give a zero star if I could. They will waste your time from the point you make your appointment, through it all. Arrived for appointment -- tried to call prior to arriving, no one picked up -- and there were no tires for my car. Days later to order tires, confirm appointment, leave you waiting for hours once you arrive for your appointment. You call to see about your car, on hold 5+ minutes each time, hung up on. Call Customer Service multiple times, bounced around. Terrible Customer Service all around.Disclosure: they do not have cameras in their shop, they will intentionally cause damage to your car. Then they will lie, knowing there s little evidence available to prosecute further. They are criminals.

Excellent service and professional work. Gave me a great deal on low profile tires and they were extremely cautious putting them on these new wheels. The guys here are amazing. Never once felt like I was being hit up for more work I didn't request. .

Bait and switch. I'd give zero stars if I could.I made an appointment on 01/18 for 9AM on 01/19. I was asked to pay a $25 deposit to hold the tires I chose. I was given a balance due on the website ($874.92).I arrived at 8:40AM. At 9AM I was told the tires I reserved were not in stock, and was offered a lesser tire. I needed the tires in a timely fashion, so I agreed to the lower grade product.When I was given the price the lower grade tires were only ~$50 less than the tires I was supposed to get. When I asked why, I was told that they couldn't have honored the price I was quoted online for the original tires, and they would have charged me $1012.00. They said that they are a franchise and not responsible for the corporate website, and that this problem "happens all time."I called corporate and was told that because the Rhinebeck NY store is a franchise, "there is absolutely nothing we can do to help," and the local store is responsible for giving the price quoted online.Because they blame each other, I'll let the NYS Attorney General's Office sort it out. My instinct tells me that corporate and their website is to blame, but after this, I wouldn't trust any Mavis location.

I've been going to MAVIS over 13 year's in Rhinebeck and always provided me with good service and got the job done , of course I seen a few things that could use improving like the toilets and other things, but overall service the repair and my request was granted and I feel safer on the road now considering I can stop my vehicle do to their timely services to me. Thank you.

I have been here twice. First time they ordered tires for me and they were there the next day and matched the price of a dealer further away. Friendly service and I was happy with the overall experience. The second time I went, I was just there to get a quote on tires for another car. Staff friendly again. The quote was slightly higher, but still competitive. I haven't decided yet. There is usually a wait, but then again there is a wait at every tire place due to staffing shortages. I had a bad experience with Mavis over 20+ years ago, but these 2 new interactions has brought me back as a customer.

Due to the staff's professionalism and consideration of my time I became a regular customer and bring all my cars to Mavis in Hyde Park. I appreciate walking in and being taken care of especially when my cars need fixing. I have posted before giving these guys 5 stars and I wanted to give an update by showing support to Jesus and the fellas with another superstar rating. Good looking out!!

Awesome place to get work done. Easy to deal with. Honest. Management great. Jim has helped me out numerous times. Had tires put on my jeep a week ago. Great job. Now back again to have all 4 new tires installed on my explorer. They work hard to get you out back on the road driving safely.

When you are traveling our Beautiful Country in your RV and happen to have a problem with your RV Tires, be SURE to CONTACT Mavis Discount Tire, Owner is Matt and his associates, Managers are Scott and Pete - you can talk to anyone who answers the phone! This business establishment Treats you with Respect and feels your pain when something goes wrong. Our Mechanic was Javier and he is just such a happy person and does great work. These Gentlemen are so nice, they make your day with great humor and smiles. It works. Now for the EXCELLENT SERVICE: We called when we had our problem, the next day the tire came in. They didn't want to interrupt our PLANS, so we were able to take our RV tire off and give it to them for several days while we enjoyed Rhinebeck and the surrounding areas. They even mentioned to us where the locals enjoy eating and we went with their suggestions! Matt and his staff are all so professional, fun people and most of ALL - HONEST and SINCERE! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAVIS DISCOUNT TIRE in Rhinebeck, N.Y. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

I purchased a new battery from CarQuest and asked Pete for guidance on who might be able to install the battery asap. Pete called Jim at Mavis and told him what I needed. New battery was installed within a half an hour! It was a fabulous experience and relief. Both Jim and Vinny ( the store manager, )were helpful, professional, pleasant. I will recommend Mavis to all my friends.Thanks so much.

I showed up on a Wednesday afternoon, two months overdue on my inspection and babying a 10-year-old car battery (which was constantly on the Fritz) . The employees at Mavis tire are so top notch.. so professional... so incredibly helpful. They explained everything in detail, and explained the prices and the parts that were needed. I actually left spending considerably less than I thought and I left with an inspection sticker! Highly recommend this service station.

I'm a local and have purchased tires here and had many emergency repairs done too. I have always been treated fairly and competently.Tonight was exceptionally good service ( and downright human kindness). Driving home from work I heard the sickening sound of thud-thud-thud. I drove straight to Mavis arriving 5:58 with a 6 pm closing time! Two employees ready to go home stayed behind and crawled under the car to pull out a bolt the size of my pinkie finger, plug it up and tell me--no charge!!! - just put air in it when you get home!Service above and beyond! Thank you gentleman!

Went in with a car that had been sitting for a couple of months. Needed oil change, brakes, tires, and a shock by the time it was all said and done. The team at Rhinebeck Mavis did very good and thorough work. What s more they walked me through the problems and best fixes while making sure to help my budget when they could. Been going here for 10 years or so and they have always been the best service and price in the area.

If you are looking for a Mavis location that probably won't break your car, mess up your brakes or leave your lugnuts loose and kill your whole family, this is the one.I begrudgingly made an appointment because I was driving on a donut and everyone else was booked out longer than I could wait. I walked in thinking my total would be about $95, they were honest enough to let me know that it was just a leak where the tire meets the rim and it was an easy fix, they did not sell me a tire. I walked out paying less than $30 for my repair. 100% would do business again, assuming my tire doesn't fly off LOL

Great quality, fast service, and very reasonable prices. I got an oil change, a checkup /tune-up, and I thought I was having trouble with my new fan belt squealing after I'd had it replaced somewhere else; turned out I have another problem. If I want it fixed 100%, I would have to get a new AC compressor which they don't service, but they were at least able to give me a potential estimate on what it would cost me. They were able to tighten my fan belt which is aggravating the compressor causing the squealing so it is now pretty much gone. My only complaint is they need new benches for the customers when they're waiting and the smell from the new tire display is overpowering. I did have to step out and get some fresh air because it was making me nauseous.

I got a flat tire the other day and brought my car to Mavis in rhinebeck to get them replaced. They said I also needed back brakes so had them replaced to. When i left all the lights were on and they instructed to drive it. So after driving it around all the lights are still on and go back today to figure out what the problem is. I had no lights on my dash prior to this. So after they look it over they say my wheel bearing is broke. How did it break! Well according to mavis taking the tire off may have made this happen. They are not taking any responsibility for this! Now i have to get this replaced. Why did they send my car out like this. Makes me extremely nervous that I had my kids in the car just thinking the lights needed to be reset. My car is running worse than ever after bringing it to them. Sooo frustrated!! Definitely wouldn t recommend going there!

Clean, Friendly, quick, complete and accurate service - even with a full waiting room, I got 4 tires mounted and balanced with road hazard added, an alignment and an inspection and it took less than 2 hours - And all this for $300 less than the neighboring company offered me and not for same day service. Corey was awesome and made sure I was happy before I left even gave me a quote for future service I will be due for - Highly recommend

They provide multiple car services not just tires. They have extended hours on Thursday. Easy to get same day service. Plenty of waiting room including a child appropriate space and separate booths with WiFi. Everyone is courteous and explains any questions you may have thoroughly. The billing is very transparent.The bathrooms could be cleaner. Also aside for water there weren't any beverages (coffee) or snacks available.

I happen to live relatively close to this Mavis, which is extremely convenient, but I would likely go here even if I lived further away.I took my SUV into the shop to get serviced, and due to the supply chain issues the whole world is facing, the repair was delayed. Vinny and Jim went out of their way to ensure that I could get to work... much appreciated!

I ve been coming to this place for decades. Yesterday I had four tires mounted on my Chevrolet 3500 truck. After I paid the bill I went home, when I looked at the bill the tires were $50 higher a piece then what I was quoted the day before. I also did research, I could ve ordered from Simple tire and they would ve delivered to Monroe right down the road, $100 cheaper per tire, and only $16 mounting, balance and new valve stem per tire. I definitely won t be coming back here. This is like the third time this happened to me over here.

I was unfortunately forced into coming here as it was the only tire shop on the area that was open on a Saturday when one of my tires popped. When I was eating lunch across the street one of the mechanics called and said hey I need you to come back over here to the garage so I can show you some stuff on you car , I have always heard that when a mechanic says that and then precedes to say that something needs to be fixed immediately, then they have no idea what they are talking about. Which was proven, when I asked them if the leak could be patched, they promptly responded with No . Then when I went to pick up my car when i asked what it was the mechanic couldn t answer, he just said oh it was something,And now it s in the past . Also, They tried to tell me my brakes needed to be replaced today when in fact they don t, and they quoted me $380 for the brakes and rotors, when I told them no, they preceded to try to convince me by saying I ll go as low as $280 if you want me to do them today. They also told me something else was wrong with the car in hopes I d have them fix it today, as when I said no I don t have Time the mechanic just responded with oh. I will never be back, and I warn those who visit here, self diagnose the issues with your car or use a trusted mechanic then go to these people with what needs to be fixed

I came in today to have 2 flats repaired and 4 tires rotated. The tires they were installing on my vehicle and stamped into the rubber rotation with an arrow. Reading must not be a requirement for this position because not one on my tires made it to the correct position.SECOND,It is to my belief that the 2 flat tires were never repaired! 30 minutes into my trip home my sensor was going off. I was on the TPW and there was no places for air. By the time I was able to get air onto the tire it was ruined. I have 4 wheel drive and requires all 4 tires to be the same. I was Forced into putting the other tires back on, on the side of the road, that I just paid to have removed.This was my first and only time here. I have nothing good to say about my experience. Waist of $70 and almost 2 hours of my time

I could not have had a better experience. Chris the manager was outstanding. I did not even have an appointment and he got me right in and within minutes they were working on my car. And the pricing was unbelievable, and thank goodness to as my money is so tight right now due the pandemic. From now on I am definitely bringing all my business to them, I would be foolish not to!! They have an excellent crew there. Whoever's reading this once you go there you will see what I mean,. Mavis has best pricing they won't try to gouge you on pricing and you walk out of there feeling awesome

I unfortunately went to Mavis in Rhinebeck because I purchased rotors and brake pads for my truck on line. I planned on replacing them myself, but didn't have the time. I also needed an alignment due to the fact that I purchased tires on line at Walmart and had Walmart install the tires. The brake pads and rotors would have taken the mechanic at Mavis 45 minutes to complete. I also needed an alignment at $89. When I went to pay the bill I was told it is over $300. I stated there is no way the bill could be that much considering I purchased the parts myself and brought them with me. Jim showed me the sign where they get $136 per hour. I told him they should post that on the door where customers can see it. That place isn't worth $136 per hour. I'm sure the mechanic receives $15 per hour. What a rip off. Avoid that place with all costs.
