My experience with Compass Automotive Group started when I first contacted them on Tuesday June 23 regarding an Air Conditioner Recharge. The phone call was handled with professionalism. Kevin gave me a call back and clearly explained to me the process for recharging my air conditioning. We're having 90 plus degrees weather all these days and Kevin did not take advantage by giving me higher price for the AC recharge. Nowadays is difficult to find honest people and I did find it at Compass Automotive Group. They do all type work from TPMS programming to major mechanical work. The shop was clean and very spacious so you'r not afraid that your car will get scratch. I have to agree with everyone in the previous reviews that Kevin is the guy to go. Thank you for your great service.

I heard about this company from a buddy who got his Jeep Wrangler upgraded here. These guys are the pros and showed amazing communication skills. The guys there are filled with lots of knowledge on any vehicle questions and are great people to have a general conversation with. I will be recommending all of my friends to use this company for any of their Jeep or car modifications!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fantastic job as always. Got my car in super quickly, got everything taken care of at a reasonable price. I ve never once felt like I wasn t being told the truth or was being sold something I didn t need. It s such a good feeling to trust that my car is in good hands. If you are purchasing a Jeep or any vehicle, BRING IT HERE. I recently purchased a vehicle and had major concerns about it s mechanics. I brought it to Kevin and he was able to give me an evaluation and help me go through the vehicle s warranty and service history to see what needed to be done. His patience and knowledge is the type of service that exceeded my expectations. He was straightforward honest about repairs and condition of the vehicle. I felt no pressure, just genuine care for clients and vehicles. I m glad I found a shop that is passionate about their work and know exactly what they re doing. Amazing service, Kevin, Dan, and the guys worked hard on diagnosis and repairs and made sure the truck was up and running for me to pick up right away. Very honest work and would recommend everyone go to these guys if not to get repairs then to shake their hand and thank them for their work and characters.

Recently had a lift kit installed and gears changed on my pickup truck here, and to say the least, Kevin from Compass Automotive is a master at work. I could not be happier with the results, the truck rides better than it did from the factory, and following Kevin's advice with the gearing has resulted in my truck having tons of power and better mileage.Kevin is very knowledgable in his trade, he quickly answered all of my questions and explained to me precisely how everything worked every step of the way. He was very straightforward and honest when it came to pricing, and immediately I knew no time would be wasted at my expense.By definition, Kevin is a true professional.Anyone looking for quality auto work, this is the place to be.

38 reviews?!? Shoot well I'll make it 39th ... and probably more!I don't have a Jeep, nor do you want to see my vehicles. But what I can say is that I use my vehicles often and as such they need constant maintenance. I handle what I can, but I'm not mechanic.Kevin, Adam & Dan are 100% Gnar Dogs for life ... and they have excellent customer service and do what they say they're going to do at a very fair cost. Overall great experience. Kevin is truly fantastic. He worked with me to get my car back before I needed it for a long drive. He explains everything you need to know about your car and is very knowledgable. Will definitely go back if I have other car issues. Highly recommend.

My car's alternator and battery completely failed just as I pulled into the shop. Kevin was able to get my car back up and running in quick time and at a great price. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, thoroughly explaining the car's issues and repair options to me as well as some honest advice for other automotive concerns. I highly recommend his shop and I'll be coming back for future automotive needs.

I wish I could rate these wonderful men more than 5 stars!!!! Hands down best experience in my entire life getting my vehicle fixed, not only did they go above and beyond fixing a major issue with my truck but they made it safe for my children to be back in this truck and gave me piece of mind every step of the way .I am so thankful I found them and will never take my vehicles anywhere else...you want it done right and fair prices then go straight to these guys !!! Extremely knowledgable and helpful. Honest pricing and excellent customer communication.Was home for the holidays and my serpentine belt went. Dropped my car off at 9 am the day after Christmas and picked it up at 12:30. Kevin walked me through other things he noticed I might need done before inspection, and asked how familiar I was with car repairs before explaining. The repair called for 2 hours of labor but he only charged me for 1.2 because thats how much time he actually spent on it. Its those kinds practices that speak volumes to a mechanics character and business practices. In short, great auto repair shop go here for a pain free experience.

Great service and beyond convenient. Right near my apartment. Could drop the car off and pick it up when done. Beats the heck out of sitting in a waiting room somewhere. Kevin is very professional and keeps you informed every step of the way. Prices were more than fair, and they didn't try to upsell you on ANYTHING you don't need. Was a pleasure getting car inspected and oil changed without the dreaded, and inevitable upsell...This was a hidden gem as I drove by it without noticing. If you are in the Defreestville/North/East Greenbush, Rensselaer area (or anywhere for that matter) you owe it to yourself to check this place out. I have found a new place to get my car serviced when it needs it!Services: Tires, Oil change

Best service in town. Kevin is a top notch mechanic. The most important thing, however, is that the guys at Compass are honest! I ve never felt lied to, ripped off, or pressured to get unnecessary maintenance. Never going to a dealership again

Called in a couple of days ago, to have my Pre purchase inspection. He was very pleasant and patient, even after I was running late. Completed the service free of charge as a courtesy. God bless you! And you definitely have a new customer!!!
