I personally have been dealing with (Kenny) New Hackensack Auto for at least 20 yrs, I've had many repairs and general maintenance done over that time.His mechanics are excellent,and repairs are done in a timely manner,and pricing is very reasonable.Kenny and his men will forewarn you of future repairs or maintenance needed,but won't be pushy.They will also explain the importance of staying on top of the situation not to make it turn into an emergency situation.I would and have recommended New Hackensack Auto to anyone needing auto work done be it a N.Y.S.I , oil change ,brakes, exhaust,air conditioning, engine work etc,etc.5*****Services: Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C recharge, Tire rotations, Brakes, Auto tire replacement, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Battery, Oil change

I'll cut to the chase. Excellent place. The owner & his son are top class & very friendly.Long story: had to fly to CT and get to Poughkeepsie area to pick up a car that was sitting in a family member's driveway for over 18 months. I had no idea what condition the car was in, etc. Many places will rip you off, tell you that the car needs things it doesn't, and so on. Here? They were upfront from the start and told me that it was in pretty good condition still, but that "You'll need new brakes within a month". They weren't pushy or anything, trying to get a profit. They told me I can wait until I get back to PA. But the guys were so good to me that I wanted them to get my business, so I had them do the brakes. They're quick, efficient, and friendly.

Most honest repair shop around. There is a lot of anxiety, when searching for a knowledgeable auto repair shop, but all of my dealings with New Hackensack auto have been very smooth.I have used their services many times, through 2 vehicles. My car is always well taken care of, and the price is very fair.
