I started bringing my car to Mavis because no matter the issue I have, they always find a way to fit me in and rarely have to wait more than a day to get my car taken care of. My alternator went this morning and the battery needed to be replaced as well, and as soon as I got there my car was taken in and I was taken care of by the afternoon. The staff at the Freedom Plains Road location have always been so helpful and accommodating and it s very appreciated so thank you!

Alex was amazing! He helped us with our concerns and made his recommendations with no pressure. Later met the team and can say that they are great! I'm definitely coming back and bringing in my son's and daughter's car for tire service.

Chris at the front desk today was awesome answering all my questions with patience during the Saturday rush. The Mavis team quickly addressed my vehicle issue and I was out the door within 30 minutes.

Best tire shop in the 845 Alexander was a great help and took good care of me. He explained everything that was going on with my car and was very careful with my car which no other shop has done. I will totally recommend coming here to get any car work done to my family and friends. If you are looking for good shop to take your car too make sure you stop here and ask for Alexander. I went to Mavis today with one of my tires losing air. I had no appointment however Alex told me he would take a look at it. After about 20 minutes which I consider good timing considering I had no appointment he walked me to my car and showed me a screw in my . Then assisted me in getting it fixed. Thank you for great service and staff.

Alex was the best!! He was excellent at explaining everything in a way that didn t make me feel uneducated in the oil change world. very professional but also friendly. very good at making people feel welcomed.

I had made an online appointment for an oil change for 5pm the next day, I got there a little early at 4:30pm. They took my car in right away and had the oil change done in less than an hour! A new record?! The employees were helpful and very nice. Thank you Mavis! :)

Staff was friendly, but I made an appointment for an inspection 4 days in advance for 3pm. Arrived at 3, gave my keys and sat down. Waited for an hour and noticed my car hadn t moved. When I asked if they were going to get to it soon, the person running the desk told me he had forgotten to check my car in and that it would be another 45 mins before they finished. Ended up having to leave because I had plans, I ve been there a few times and I ve had good experiences but this was annoying and a waste of my time to be honest.

Update to this review. Last night I realized that my tail lights are out. Alex replaced a headlight bulb and must have screwed something up. Yesterday I waited an hour and 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment and now I have to deal with this. Getting them to fix this without wasting any more of my time.

I had a great experience at this location. Alexander was very helpful and truthful with me. He showed me exactly what s wrong with my tires and how dangerous it would ve been if I continued driving the car like that. Would definitely recommend this location.

i made an appointment 5 days in advance for a simple inspection on a new car. i arrived for my 9am appointment and was asked if i was waiting for the car or if i was leaving it. i assumed an inspection would be fairly quick considering it s a new car. i waited for an hour and my car wasn t even moved yet. i asked what the status was on my car and they told meit would be another 45 minutes until getting my car into the bay. and then from there another 40 minutes for a safety inspection in a brand new car. when i asked what was taking so long since my appointment was at 9 and at this point i waited 1.5 hrs. they told me that the person who had an appointment at 8 didn t pass inspection and needed new tires. so apparently it takes over 3 hours to inspect a car and put new tires on it. at no point during the hour and 1/2 i had waited for my 9am appointment no one thought it was a good idea to tell mei would be waiting over 3 hours for a safety inspection that i had made an appointment in advance for. apparently making an appointment doesn t matter. horribly customer service and the tall manager had an attitude and could care less and didn t see an issue with someone having to wait 2 hours for a 9am appointment. did not try to offer me any type of solution. so after wasting almost 2 hours when i had an appointment i asked for my keys and left and got an inspection in about 30 minutes from start to finish at another shop. normally i would never bring my car to a mavis but i figured a simple inspection on a brand new car what could go wrong? apparently a lot.

Great experience at this location. The guy Anthony at the front desk was also very helpful, hardworking, professional, polite, knowledgeable, and gave me a better understanding with the needs of my vehicle. Over all this location has a great team of machanics and staff, they were able to help me with what I needed and more. They were able to do the work in a very fast period of time and affordable. I highly recommend this place to all my friends, family and or anyone who needs work/service done to their vehicle. I was 100% satisfied.

Beware!!! I bought new tires less than a week ago. Initially they were nice and helpful. Then within a few day one starts leaking and loses pressure several times. I bring it back in. Alex told me I had a nail in the tire (I didn't). He and Anthony then admitted there was no nail, they were mistaken.... but that it happened because of he cold. Three times to only the one tire... I was upset about being lied to and that clearly there was something actually wrong with the tire. I was told by Anthony that he is a manager and that he's "not sure what you are trying to get here and why you are being confrontational." I am trying to get a new tire that doesn't leak air and for you to be honest. They didn't want to provide me with any manufacturer warranty information. They said it's printed on the receipt. It isn't. Terrible experience.

I went to Mavis, because I needed some tires. When I arrived I was greeted by an associate by the name of Alex. He helped me to figure out the size of my tire and which one would be good for the winter. I really appreciated the time he spent to find the right tires I needed. Great customer service as well

I had a heavy leak in my tire. Showed up at 4pm on a Sunday and they took me in right away. Anthony and his crew are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient! This was the best experience I've ever had at a Mavis!

Alex and Anthony were very helpful. I found a screw in my tire earlier that day. I walked in. They were able to get my car immediately on the lift and even gave me a discount on the tire!

My family and I had an incredibly positive experience with Mavis Discount Tire in Poughkeepsie, NY, and I cannot speak highly enough of their exceptional service and hospitality. Just over a year ago, while on a short road trip from NYC to Montreal, we were unfortunately involved in an accident on the Taconic Parkway. In the accident, two of the tires of our car blew out, rendering it undriveable. As luck would have it, this incident occurred on Veterans Day when most body shops were closed.As most body shops were closed, the tow truck directed us to this Mavis Discount Tire, where we were met with unparalleled kindness and support from the staff. Despite the severity of the damage to our rims, preventing them from mounting new tires, the team at Mavis went above and beyond to assist us. They graciously allowed us to stay in their parking lot while we arranged for a rental car to continue our road trip. Moreover, they extended the extraordinary gesture of allowing us to park our crashed vehicle on the edge of their parking lot over the weekend until we could arrange for it to be towed back to NYC.What truly stood out to us was that, despite our inability to purchase anything from them due to the circumstances, the staff still provided us with their unwavering assistance and hospitality. Their selfless acts of kindness during our time of need left a profound impact on us, and I am immensely grateful for their support.Additionally, we entrusted them with the key to our vehicle and instructed them to pass it on to the tow truck driver, a responsibility they handled with utmost care and professionalism.Despite my home being nearly 100 miles away from this location, I am wholeheartedly committed to returning to this specific Mavis Discount Tire in Poughkeepsie for all my tire needs in the future. Their exceptional service deserves recognition and patronage, and I am eager to repay their kindness and support.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Made and appointment for my vehicle inspection for 11am get to the place they tell me the guy who does the inspections won t be in until 2 and won t be able to get my car inspected until 4:30pm. The guy I was dealing with is named Sam, wasn t helpful. Had the same experience over the summer when I called for a vehicle inspection I was told to come now they can get me in and out. Arrived less than 10 min later and the guy I spoke to on the phone was standing in front of me telling me to drop the keys off and pick up the car the next morning. I asked him why and what changed in the 10 mins since we spoke he said got mixed up long and short of it this place sucks 2 waste of time experiences with 2 different ppl at this place and the other reviews show this is a regular occurrence here. Go somewhere else like a local mom n pop shop

Alex was very helpful today. I came in close to closing with a tire that went flat he was able to get me a new tire. While I was here he told me I need 3 tires he worked with me perfectly very very happy

Efficient service was warned there would be a wait due to low staff but it was only an extra 30 minutes or so. Customer service rep was very helpful. Would return for future services.
