Stopped into the service department for an appointment and was well treated. Easy to make an appointment within a reasonable time period. The place is clean and comfortable if you're waiting for the work to be completed.

We returned to TJ Toyota on 1/12/24 to pick up the 2nd vehicle my family has bought from Shawn in 4 weeks. We come from NYC to buy vehicles from this dealership as there are no games or gimmicks. They get you into the vehicle you want for great prices. I prefer to drive to Potsdam to purchase a vehicle and to get my car serviced. It s 400 miles from home but worth the trips.

My favorite Toyota service center ever! Absolutely incredible service, smooth and quick check in. During the service the guys at the counter made sure to keep me updated on how everything was going and went above and beyond! So attentive to all the details, definitely coming back!!

Made an online appointment for our Rav4 to get the 20,000-mile check and snow tires. We did not get any confirmation. I got here, and they don't have snow tires. It's November in the North Country.I'm not pleased with the lack of communication and will not come back.

Was charged 40$ to have them look at my window which wasn't working properly. No work was done, nothing was fixed, 40$ please. Would give 0 stars if I could.

TJ Toyota was one of the first Toyota dealerships in the North Country. My family has bought many new Toyotas from them over the last 25 years.I will not give them business anymore. They do not appreciate loyal customers, and I think they take their role as one of the only Toyota dealerships in the area to take advantage of their customers. Our family recently had an issue with a Highlander we bought from TJ Toyota. They gave us a very high quote for work that we ultimately had completed at another dealership for a 3rd of the price. I get that dealers overcharge for service. What I find troublesome is that in spite of my family's loyal patronage of TJ over the last quarter century, when my parents visited the dealership in order to buy another new Toyota from them, they gave an outrageous trade-in value for their car. I'm talking an offer that is almost half of what the Kelley Blue Book value on the car is.I'm not sure if they think they can take advantage of my parents because they've been loyal customers, or maybe its because they are immigrants and speak English with an accent. Whatever the case may be, my family will never do business with TJ Toyota again.

I cannot say enough good things about TJ Toyota. I own a 2012Toyota Sienna. One of the cables broke on the electric door. I took it to the dealership closest to my home (Della Toyota). Della told me that the door was going to cost $2,800 to fix. I felt like this was completely unreasonable given this part had been recalled and I had only missed the recall window for repair by a few months. The service staff at DELLA Toyota were rude, unhelpful in answering my questions, and didn t even bother returning my phone calls. A friend suggested TJ Toyota. I called and Tim quoted me $650 over the phone. I scheduled an appointment immediately. Tim answered all my questions, they were flexible with the appointment time, and the quote was exactly right once the repair was completed. I have already suggested TJ Toyota to multiple friends who are facing the same problem with their vans. Thank you TJ TOYOTA for not taking advantage of your customers it was a pleasure to work with you all.

Went car shopping recently and Ben at TJ Toyota was very nice to work with and set us at ease. He helped me out with what I was looking for and dealing with my price range. The place seemed welcoming and we felt comfortable with the little time we had to wait. Bought a Rav4 and I will be going back to see Ben if I plan on trading in a couple years.

I typically steer clear of dealerships due to the negative experiences I've had. But when my Tacoma had an issue that required Toyota service I had no choice. My entire experience with TJ toyota was surprisingly excellent. From the phone communication to the diagnosis and finally the repair. The whole service team puts the customer first. They are fair, honest, and accommodating. Their service manager especially, an honest man, thanks for your help Mike. I will recommend TJ service to all my friends. We'll see about your sales team when it comes time to replace our Venza with that Hybrid Rav4.

I've bought two vehicles from TJ Toyota and I have enjoyed the experience each time. The sales team never tried to put me in something outside of my needs or price range. I got more than I expected from my trade in both times. I mainly come back for service because I always go "Certified Pre-owned" for my own peace of mind. They don't send out an obnoxious amount of offers in the mail, and the times I've had recall services, they got me in quickly. It may sound ridiculous, but it feels like too nice of a place to be getting service. The waiting area is unusually large and I've never seen it full. I never feel comfortable in the waiting area because it feels fancier than I would like. You'd expect the people working on your car to look like they've been working on engines all day, but they have a reception team and you never really meet any of the mechanics. Not entirely a bad thing, but worth mentioning. The service department is open on Saturday, which is great for me because I work all week. Their website allows you to schedule online however I've never been able to get that feature to work. I get to the point where you pick a day and it just won't let me. Prices seem fair, but I really don't have enough experience or knowledge to know for sure.

Let me start by saying if I could give this business 0 stars I absolutely would. Toyota has great vehicles but TJ Toyota is awful, Toyota should do an investigation on this dealership because they are doing the brand a HUGE disservice! I HIGHLY recommend Waite Toyota in Watertown!! Worth the drive! Here is why I feel this way .1. When I went in to lease my first vehicle, the guy thought he had my business in the bag and when I said I would be shopping around he was noticeably upset. I then received weekly phone calls and emails for MONTHS. He even tried to contact me on Facebook messenger.2. Before I started leasing I took my car there to have work done on it and I drove down the road and everything was fine. When I got back in my vehicle my car was idling weird and I ended up having to take it back and spend more money.3. I took my vehicle in the other day for routine maintenance. They did a tire rotation and alignment among other services. A day later and my tire is completely flat. I called to let them know that this has happened and the guy on the phone says well did you hit a pot hole or something? This dealership is unprofessional and it s employees are incompetent and rude. I get free maintenance for the first 2 years through my lease but from here on out I will be taking my vehicle else where and paying for maintenance because this business is an absolute joke.

Ordered a new RAV4 came in on a Monday. Purchased winter tire and rim package and asked for a car starter. Picked car up on Friday. No car starter that had to be scheduled later. Two weeks later arrive for installation. An hour later a tech tells me they don't have the right part would have to be ordered. In the meanwhile my wife notices a clunking in the front end. We had lost two lug nuts and the tire was loose. Contact dealership and after almost a month no call about the car starter we already paid for. Call dealership and ask for the starter or my money back. Perhaps the supply chain problems are the problem but without explaining they tell me I will be getting my money back. Not impressed

I won't be going back again. Bought a brand new car there 7 years ago with the best warranty and biggest protection coverage I could get for rust (wasn't cheap). The car was completely undercoated among other things. I have been bringing the car there routinely for all maintenance and problems. I just discovered a bar under the car so rusted out it had holes in it. Now I don't go under my car every day but I just so happened to be under it checking it out which is not normal. But the mechanics are under it often doing my regular maintenance at tj Toyota and never told me. When I confronted them about it they just said to file a claim with the company they work with for the rust protection. Long story short after many back and forth with them they would not help me because the part on the car wasn't covered. I strongly disagree and understand somethings aren't covered but this should have. I believe I wasted my money in this rust protection because I am sure I would have the same results if I didn't get it at all. So thank you tj Toyota for selling me something and making me believe I would be better off.

Took the old taco to get her frame replaced and it started of great I felt like Charlie and the chocolate factory there was complementary beverages and doughnuts the staff were extremely friendly but only if i knew. The frame recall took a week to get done which was more then satisfactory but however a day before it was supposed to be done I get a call explaining that they had damaged some bolts and a bushing in a strut, I figured no big deal and agreed to pay to replace the bolts but told them to put the strut back in. Now I figured that it was a bolt couldn t cost more then $5 Ohhh boy was I wrong $24.95 per bolt before tax. So when I went to pick up my truck and saw that I was dumbfounded and asked to speak to the manager about the price. Almost instantaneously that friendly attitude I once was amazed by turned to pure anger and what I would call loathing. The service manager explained that I was gonna pay the full price for the bolts because I had agreed to it (yet on the phone call informing me that I got at work that I had to rush and tell her to just put it back together for next day pick up because I thought they d be $10 max) and that I would also be paying for a part that they told be they couldn t safely put on my truck. So not only was I being gouged for $24.95 bolts I was being shaken down for a part they couldn t put on. Now the not so friendly service manager explained to me I would at least pay for the bolts and could pay for the part I ordered at a later time. The next Friday rolls around and during the middle of the week Wednesday or Thursday I go to get in my truck and realize something doesn t look right and I realize they didn t reinstall my skid plates ! When I go to pay for my part that Friday I ask where are my skid plates and they re response is we must have forgot and mind you the service manager almost has visible steam rising of his head and is visibly agitated. Now the next part I m not to proud of but felt it was justified because TJ felt the need to shake me down for a part they couldn t put on my truck instead of throwing it on some shelf for someone else I went to my bank and got the exact cost of the part in United state one cent pennies. And the second he saw that he refused to accept my legal U.S. tender and threatened to call the police if I did not leave. So I leave take most of my pennies (box kinda split open ) . Just today I call tj to get a quote on parts from the parts department not the service department I get about half way through then hear what I thought was just hang up then click. Call back and it s the most friendly service manager in all of the land explaining I bring him to many problems and that he refuses to sell me parts . Long story short don t go to TJ Toyota!

Poor customer service in the service department, weren t even aware of their own warranty plans. Charged me for a diagnostic on my car then proceeded to have to confirm they could perform the service with my warranty (platinum Toyota warranty). Caused further damage to my glove box and left the box and it s contents on the floor of car after their service . I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere and do not recommend TJ Toyota to anyone, friends family or strangers. It s a shame there was such a lack of knowledge about the warranties they provided. I called the warranty customer service and was completely taken care of in a mere 30 seconds, TJs is not a representation of Toyota overall just a lack of knowledge and care at this single establishment.

Called to inquire about getting Toyota sienna and the saleman was insanely rude. I was asking normal questions about MPG and he seemed like he was uninterested in talking at all. I don't know if there was some sort of miscommunication but not a professional call at all.

The team worked with me to get me into a new lease at a price point that worked for me. Their service team has been a pleasure to deal with over the last several years with our other car. I'll definitely be a loyal customer going forward.

Purchased a new Highlander Hybrid. There were some minor hick ups during the deal but they went above and beyond what I expected to keep the deal going. Will work with them again.PS: Corrected to 5 star review!

We (Adirondack Storage Barns) purchased our 2019 RAV4 the first week the new style hit the lot. We were happy with Tom who sold it to us, the service appointments we ve had and especially happy with the performance and fuel mileage (see below) of the new RAV4. Had it in for the scheduled service after 10k and both Tom and Jesse took the time to talk and visit for a while! They have a nice waiting area with coffee and donuts, etc. We use this vehicle for escorting our oversize buildings. We have a low profile 4 light bar on the top and use oversize load signs front and back. We have a little over 12k miles on it so far and have been getting pretty consistently around 33 mpg around town! Way to go Toyota! Thank you TJ Toyota!

Service Department is awful and Customer Service is just as bad. Took my car to TJ Toyota to get fixed and paid them over $1,000 for them to fix my vehicle. Drove my car 20 miles and had the same problem I took it in for in the first place. Dealership refused to go good for it or fixing my vehicle correctly. They wanted to charge me even more to fix their mistake. Was told by the Service Manager Mike I was just upset with them because they won't give me my way and fix it. Do yourself a favor and drive to the dealer in Watertown. You will receive much better service and customer service.

Me and my family have had nothing but one bad experience here. Most recently they said that our manufacturer warranty to get a service change there was supposed to be for 50,000 miles but according to them will not accept it being around 47,000. Also we have been treated poorly when having our car repaired with recalls that the company made. So in turn I would NEVER EVER go here to buy or service your car their just plain rude and disrespectful.

Product is a good one but service is not good anymore. It used to be much better but now manager speaks in a condescending way to customers. I guess he forgets what customer service is! Wish I had purchased product at Waite Toyota in Watertown. Would have been worth the drive for service!
