Old man behind the service desk is a bully.I recently moved to Potsdam and thought I'd give Scott's a try because of all the good reviews. Brought my vehicle in for an inspection. It failed inspection, which is fine because it's an old vehicle, but when we were discussing what needed to be fixed I tried explaining to him that the passenger side mirror has been missing for years, that NYS law does not require a passenger side mirror and it has passed inspection several times already at a different auto service, to which he replied "well why don't you take it back there". Um, okay? I guess I will then? Way to alienate a potential customer.

We went to Scott s Auto for an issue where it was obvious that another place was trying to make us pay an exorbitant amount of money for something we didn t need. Their staff not only identified the issue but they fixed it and very super generous with their time and resources. Highly recommend this place!

Had my car detailed here. They did an excellent job at a very good price. I had a mark on the ceiling from putting makeup on and had forgotten to ask them to make sure they tried to remove it. Picked up the car and it was gone :-) I will definitely be doing this again next year :-)

My parents and I have relied on Scott's to service our vehicles for years. The service is always prompt and courteous. Labor rate is incredibly reasonable. My 2011 Chrysler 200 is still going at almost 140,000 miles because I can depend on Scott's to get it in and get it fixed right!There is also a Dunkin' Donuts and brand new Stewart's nearby if you prefer to go have a coffee and hang out somewhere other than the waiting area while they work on your car. If the weather is nice, there are places within walking distance to shop or run errands.Highly recommend. Love these guys!

They repaired a hole in my tire last year. They fit me in fast and fixed my tire for a very reasonable cost!

Great customer service. They were upfront with me on my auto issues (multiple cars), no BS! Real stand up guys. My S/O was driving me off the lot once, after I dropped off my truck, and one of the guys ran out and stopped us to fill up a tire because it was just about flat! Very impressed!

Mr. Murray is extremely knowledgeable and kind. We had an emergency on New Year's Day, and took our van in the following day to him. He took time out to make sure everything was okay, prior to us driving back home to Georgia. I would definitely recommend going to Scott's for your automotive needs!

I just bought my second car from Scott's Auto and it's a beauty!! Dalen and Lary are very good about getting you the best deals and making sure you are very well taken care of and go out of their way to make sure you get what you want . Dalen had my car lined up for me before it was on the lot. Thank you again guys!

They are honest mechanics, and always served me well. That being said they wrongly diagnosed the problem with my cars last week, and the check engine light just came back on
