Amazing shop, ESPECIALLY for specialty vehicles. I have never seen a cleaner or more organized auto repair shop. Kevin has done several repairs for us on 2 1960's Mustangs. If parts are unavailable, he gives potential alternate options. When a hose broke on a Saturday, Kevin facetimed us some basic instructions to at least get the car running to get into the shop on Monday. Repairs are done quickly (assuming parts are available for these classic cars) at a reasonable price for specialty work.

Brought my 65 Mustang to Kevin to replace the fuel pump and go over the car for an overall check up. The attention to detail was impressive. Everything from the loose shifter knob, to a few missing rubber grommets, to the squeaky clutch pedal was looked at and addressed. He is an excellent, trust worthy mechanic. I live an hour away and will be back.

This is a trustworthy spot. I brought my 2008 Accord coupe to Kevin back in 2020 and he did some work on it. He advised me to sell the car before it broke down even further. I did sell the car, and bought another used Honda in January 2021. Right after that the prices skyrocketed on used cars. Kevin gave me honest advice and it helped me make the best decision I could for my car needs. What more can you ask?

Kevin at Appel Auto Service has been our trusted mechanic for many, many years. Kevin has decades of experience and has maintained our Ford, Honda, and Mitsubishi vehicles. Highly recommend.

It has been a really long time since I went to Appel Auto Service because I moved about 10 years but I still remember Kevin and his shop with positivity. If I ever move back to eastern Long Island, Appel Auto is where I am going!I used to bring my 10 year old blue Mitsubishi eclipse. He was always kind, fair and honest. When the time came that fixing the eclipse would cost more than the vehicle s value, rather than taking my money, he told me to consider a new car. I did and he inspected the certified used car before I bought it (a silver toyota corolla w/ ~10K miles) and Kevin said it was a great car with no issues and no accidents. BTW, he was right because the car is still running well, even after 130,000 miles.If you live close to Port Jeff, I highly recommend Appel Auto!

I've been going to Kevin at Appel Auto for the last several years since I moved to this area. He has consistently been priced fairly, and provides honest service. When I have had my vehicles in his shop he gives you all the options for repairs first and never pressures you. I trust him with my family vehicles and my sports car.

Went here for an oil change 6 months ago for my wife's car and my car. Found a leak in my wife's radiator, wanted 4!! Hours of labor at 100$ an hour to fix plus parts, a total of over 600$. Wife and I bought the radiator online for 150$ and fixed ourselves in about an hour. Was four hoses and 8 screws....Then today I decided to change oil myself and my drain plug was overtightened to the extreme and broke on the way out. The mechanic should use a torque wrench to tighten things, not just throw on an air tool and tighten to some arbitrarily high torque.Shady and/or lazy. Go literally anywhere else.

Great mechanic shop. The mechanic addressed 4 concerns in 1 hour. One didn't need immediate work. The other three he fixed on the spot. Wonderful service for the cost of an hour's labor.
