I recently went in for an oil change and struts were recommended (due to high mileage). Gio explained everything about the repair and the cost of the repair, he's very knowledgeable, and very helpful! Although I went ahead with the repair there was no pressure whatsoever to do so! The car rides so much smoother now, thanks to their expert mechanic Dave, he's the best! I've been going here for years and have always been very satisfied with oil changes and repairs. They have great customer service and they are honest & reliable too! I highly recommend them!

FIRST AND LAST - brand new customer and I will never return, I can do a better job at home. They damaged my rim trying to put on new tires. The manager, Doug, seemed to want to argue about the damage. I'm surprised the other two employees still have a job but I guess in todays world, it s hard to find good help. Doug said he was going to have someone sand down the damage to my rim and then paint. I m not ok with this, my rims are powder coated. When I asked them to pay for a new rim they told me it s not warranted. He called me today to say that he never said any of that and when I asked him how it would be repaired he had no clue, was extremely rude and refused to let me talk to the person who was going to repair it. I contacted customer service and am waiting on a phone call back & for a phone call back from the district manager Nicole. It took them a total of 3 hours to put on new tires. $840 later and now I have new tires but damage to my vehicle. Do not go here, there are other places that can do better.

The people who give this place bad reviews are the same people who get upset when they don t get what they want. They are honest, do great clean work and try to make every experience a good one. And they DONT hustle women I don t know who wrote that but that is not true in the slightest. Pep boys port Jeff is the greatest!

I have always been satisfied with this Port Jefferson Station location. Today just added to my satisfaction. Manager Gio was once again kind and courteous. My car today was serviced by Krystina once again and once again she gave the car great service and even ran out to my car as I was pulling out to give my car one last go over. My last half dozen times at this location I have been serviced by Service Technicians Krystina and David and every time I have been more and more satisfied. Managers Douglas and Gio are running the place.Keep up the great work!!!Long time customer, Gerard

Yelp gave this place a bad wrap and maybe things have changed. Lemme tell ya, Doug was awesome. Tire was delivered early, he was able to fit me it same day as delivery. Was upbeat, personal, and overall, a pleasure to deal with.

This is the station to go and get your vehicle serviced! Dough and his team have stepped up and answered all my inquiries without any issues! I have been using this location for 25-plus years and counting! I am treated with respect every time from the team. I am encouraged to ask questions if I am not sure of something and the staff will explain anything I may not know. As the team grows, each member is just amazing, and I am not afraid to stop by with a question or concern! I truly appreciate the warm welcome feeling when I go because other service stations do not ever feel that way. I look forward to not having to worry if I need some work done to my vehicle, understanding that I have Dough and his team to take care of any concerns with my vehicle. Thank you all for what you do!

I tried making an appointment to change my tires on Saturday. It was a last minute appointment, but I called to double check and make sure they had the four tires that I needed and to make sure that the Black Friday sale on their website was still happening (buy two tires get two free). I called around 11:30 and was able to get an appointment for 1:00pm. I showed up for the appointment and had to wait 3 hours to get the car serviced as there was a long wait time (I was told I would only wait up to an hour). After 3 long hours, I was told they didn t have the tires I needed in stock. The staff was friendly but the service is just terrible.

Gio did an excellent job in helping me out. The staff noticed that my oil pan was damaged from a competitors past oil service. They informed me as well as completed my oil change. They all were courteous and professional.

Gio likes taking adantage of customers, particularly women! Had 2 tires put on a friends car and a alignment. When her car failed inspection he conviently overlooked the tyrods and said she NEEDED ANOTHER ALIGNMENT. Gio needs to get his scruples aligned. Scam artists! Perhaps he should try honesty!! It's unscrupuless auto shops and the likes of people like him that give honest shops a bad name. Please don't ask for my contact information, instead clean your operation up! Sorry doesn't mean anything except that you are Sorry someone opened their mouth!Not over you didn't even perform all the services paid for if you don't come clean and amend this. Better business bureau or whatever legal avenue we feel necessary will be persued. Pathetic this is, although you'll be given the opportunity to right this. And it will be reflected in a revised review. I have a strong feeling you'll do the right thing! Let's see if your computer generated statement matches your actions .

Gio went out of his way to accommodate my not being able to leave the car for new tires by calling me up when he had an opening for me to bring it in and they would be able to do them while I waited. Great service. Thank you.

Doug was the best, super courteous and a lifesaver in getting a great deal and efficient service when I needed help changing out all of my tires last minute. Gio was also helpful and I appreciate everyone there for their time and efforts + their friendly and kind manner making the process so much easier :)

Doug and the mechanic are outstanding!! Called around 4:30 on a Friday evening, check engine light showing up on my Jeep Wrangler. They diagnosed the Jeep immediately and set up an appointment right away. Will continue taking my cars to them. Thanks guys

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and read all the negative reviews first before going in. I ve already reached out to customer service and provided them with a full, detailed explanation of our disgusting encounter with this business and their service manager, Douglas Brinson.

I made an appointment at Pep Boys for my annual NYS inspection for 1/2/24 at 9:00. After about a half hour from check-in, the front desk clerk, Doug , showed me my car s air filter and told me it needs replacing. I said ok thinking that it was required to pass the car inspection. It too them 45 mins to locate a filter (Doug had to drive to an AutoZone to get the air filter). My scheduled appointment took a HOUR and a HALF! THEN, when I got home my husband told me that I didn t need a new air filter to pass an inspection AND that the cost of one from Amazon is only $9-20 yet PepBoys charged me $41 ( Doug said he gave me a deal from the real price of $61). I got hoodwinked! I am NOT a happy customer. Pep Boys in Port Jefferson, NY lives up to the stereotype that mechanics can t be trusted!

I needed my front skid plate reattached. Called in the morning, Doug told me I could bring it in right away, no appointment needed. He had just the right parts to reattach it and got it done in under ten minutes. Amazing. Any time I ever have a car problem, I m definitely coming back and asking for Doug.

Just tried making an appointment with a man on the desk. I just outright bought my car from a dealership. Was looking to find out what else I could have done for the vehicle and extra options for lifetime maintence. I told him I wanted to know about extra work and he berated me telling me I should be getting work from them. He didn t realize I was having my brakes done at the dealership because he wanted to tell me it s not good to get work from other places. This phone call just took place. I will not be going here for future work and I will find another pepboys to accommodate me. He sounded overwhelmed and uncooperative. I have had several services already done by them. Since I had these brand new tires, the dealership has warned me of wear and tear. I should have never gone here. Life time wheel alignment and rotation is a scam I feel like because, I have not put more than 10000 miles on these tires. They are showing significant wear. I hope people will learn from this to always have a second opinion. Now the customer service was rude and I will not be going to this branch again. I literally was looking to find out how much extra lifetime services would cost me. Unacceptable customer service from a guy who I believed his name was Joe I couldn t understand him because he was talking so fast and also kept talking over me

My car was serviced promptly at my appointment time. The wait time was quite reasonable, compared to some other local mechanics where you have to wait hours even with an appointment. The manager is knowledgable and knows what he is doing. The space is clean, with free WiFi. It is also convenient to wait at the McDonald's next door.

These guys are the best. Everyone was unbelievably helpful and informative. I was there for about 3 days in a row as my car was having a problem passing the inspection . While inspecting the car they discovered a major problem that could have led to a really bad situation. Thank you so much guys- and I definitely have to give a shout out to Doug, Dave, Switch, Briyan and Gio. Definitely will return for all future services and repairs!

Called and they said they had time to do an emissions check. Got there and And they asked me to make an appointment for the following day as they didn t have time?. Came the following day during the appointment time. Was promised it d be done in 1.5 hours. Came back in 1.5 hours and it hadn t moved. They said they re short staffed & it wasn t ready. They didn t apologize or Care. The dude kept eating at the register. I left. Waste of time.
