I have volvo plug in hybrid .i went to this tire store for tire change and when starting jacking the under chasis. The mechanic put the jack in the between the electric housing of at the back and came of off the metal piece. I told him this is air ride and not supposed to do the jack on that area. The mechanic was upset and yelling. Which is not appropriate behavior.I would rather not recommend this store. Very irresponsible and unprofessional.Becareful this store

If I could give this place zero stars, i would!!! The heavy set woman behind the desk is EXTREMELY rude and very unprofessional. I bring my car in for two new tires just to pick up my car with low air in both new tires, and my steering wheel is not straight. When I called about this, the heavy set woman behind the counter got extremely defensive and began to call me all kind of names. I've never in my life had the pleasure of dealing with anyone that unprofessional and rude. After I called and was hung up on i went to the location to which the woman proceeded to call the cops on me lol. DO NOT GET YOU CAR WORKED ON YOU WILL GET IT BACK WORSE THEN WHEN YOUR DROPPED IT OFF!!!! This woman needs to be fired or learn how to work in costumers service!

These guys know what they're doing!FROM Jay at the front desk to the technician doing my tire repair, I felt a very positive vibe in the shop.Professional and fast service solved my tire issue completely. Highly recommend, I felt like a valued customer.

I can always count on this place to take care of my car. I also send all my customers there for their tire needs. Dana & TJ and the crew are all very nice to deal with and quick to get my car back to me.

We went here to have a hole repaired in our new tire and they damaged our rim very badly. They are now refusing to reimburse us for the cost of the damage (after saying they took responsibility and would pay for it to be fixed). However, it gets even worse...The woman Dana asked us not to get a new rim, but go get it fixed instead and said it would be a couple hundred to fix it and she would reimburse us. My husband was pleasant and very understanding throughout the entire process, even making the new guy who damaged the rim feel better. He said he'd go get it fixed rather than getting a whole new rim replacement which would have cost their business a lot. The woman (Dana) said she'd reimburse him, and we have the documentation. There seemed to be no red flags, she was nice enough to my husband at the time and took total responsibility.We didn't think twice about it until we sent the very reasonable bill to her and she emailed us she would only pay about half. When we called and nicely asked about the reason for the discrepancy Dana was incredibly vulgar, cursing and threatening us then hung up without us getting in a word.We were shocked - it was as though a light switch was flipped and she went from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde on the fact that she now had to pay a rather small amount for the very large damages caused at her shop. Two follow up emails we sent were both ignored, even though we were well-mannered in our emails (despite her unwarranted verbal abuse).After a month went by and she clearly was not sending a check as initially promised, I went in person thinking there surely must be some mistake. Perhaps she had us confused with another customer and that was why she was so rude? Well there was definitely a mistake in going there because the woman was instantly aggressive, threatening, and cursed at me when I went in. I was calm, level-headed, and nice the entire time, as was witnessed by the patron behind me. I never did anything to elicit such abhorrent behavior, and realized quickly she was going to get more dangerous as she started not making any sense in what she was saying and was becoming more and more volatile with zero provocation.It was truly bizarre is the only way to describe it. She then said she would call the cops (which was as surprising as a thief robbing you then saying they will call the authorities), and although I hated the idea of wasting the police's time on something like this, I said I would appreciate it if she would like to do that as at this point her behavior was rather frightening - afterwards she went into the back screaming.I later found out that the police are called there often due to Dana's random scary and assaulting behavior towards customers, so this is a frequent occurrence at her establishment (which can be seen by the statements of other real reviewers).We should have read the terrible reviews that state the horrid way she handles her customers. It was scary to see how she behaved towards us, saying "f---k you", "go f---k yourself", etc, and told us directly to "sue her" if we wanted our rim repair properly reimbursed...all after we were nothing but kind and respectful (and continued to be even throughout her threatening and harassing us).Be very careful here, I'd recommend going literally anywhere else. Hopefully this review helps save someone from going through what we went through.

Dana is very knowledgeable and kind.She got 4 tires on my car and front brakes done.It was very quick. I waited. They helped me out ..another shop was really overcharging me.Great prices. Quick service. She has great workers. Thanks !

That woman at the front desk has serious anger issues. Unfortunately I m sure she loses a lot of business because of her attitude and mouth. Sure she can be nice but she s like Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde. You never know who you will get. Beware

Dana and her staff are great.Today I purchased my third set of tires today for one of my vehicles. Dana and her staff are patient with all their customers. They will listen to you and answer or give you their opinion with any questions you have.Call for a price they give you the price and that s the price no hidden fees after the fact.Folks this is a family business not a corporate outfit.Dana and her staff treat you like family. The small business owners need us now more than ever. I am pleased with me service from Dana and her staff every time and thank them for being there for my neighborhood.Trust me call them for your business!

Had a terrible experience there a few years back and thought I would try it again but when I walked in to see the same miserable woman sitting behind the desk I turned around and walked out. Dana is dishonest and disrespectful she should be away from the public not face to face with them. If you have a vehicle you care about and wheels you want to keep scratch and damage free look elsewhere. Brand new wheels all damaged that I literally unboxed in front of the business before having tires mounted. Every one of them had damage and the offer I got was 50 dollars off but that was only after getting cursed at and Dana having a temper tantrum. Stay far away from this place.

I went here for tires after getting the run around from several Mavis Discount Stores about prices and timing. I researched some of the tires they recommended and they all had sub par ratings yet were all over $100 per tire. I remembered my mother had mentioned that our long time trusted mechanic had recommended a place - she had gone there and had good service. So I ended up at Discount Tire and got the tires I actually wanted, cheaper than expected, the same day, and a $50 rebate. I got 4 17 inch performance tires, mount & balance, and wheel alignment for $630, and not including the rebate. I thought Dana was great and it was nice dealing with a woman. You could tell she had been doing this job for a long time and knew her stuff. She reminded me of a typical Long Islander - down to earth and all heart. Anyway, I have to go back tomorrow because I have a nail in a tire and it s nice knowing that she will take care of me.

Worst place to get service! I bought goodyear tires with installation included but when I go to them they tell me its not included that I have to pay that separately. I also asked them to put them rims and sensors. They did but the wrong sensors were added and were not compatible. When i go to the dealer they told me those sensors were used and not for my vehicle. I went back to them to let them know like i can get refunded and they denied it. They offer $100 out of $400 and i said no. Their secretary is very nasty has no manners and very rude. You can ask the simple question and she will answer you back with attitude. Be careful in getting service with them. They will surely rip you off. They have people working that are not even licensed.

I have been reading the reviews for NYS Discount Tire.... I have been going to them for over 25 years way back when their dad ran the business... Dana, is a very knowledgeable woman, she knows what she's doing. You get great service everytime. I am taken back by all the negative comments about Dana, she is kind, sweet and helps you get the best tire for your vehicle without going above your means. No one should judge others, get to know her she's a good person... Has anyone out there ever had a bad day? I always get same day Service. Have a great day!

Have been here several times and have always been treated very well. I recently brought in my own low profile tires and had them mounted and balanced on 20" wheels and they had no issues whatsoever. Prices were very reasonable unlike most other shops around.Stopped in for a puncture several weeks later and they got me right in, plugged the tire, and back on the road withing 20mins. Highly recommend them.

I pretty much knew what tires I wanted, but still had a few questions. Dana answered my questions and ordered the tires while I was still at the counter. Next day the tires were mounted and installed in about 20 minutes. No excuses, no nonsense. In addition, the cost was about $100 less than the dealer would have charged after mounting and installation. You bet I'll be back!

Terrible place. Dana is the rudest, least intelligent person in customer service I have ever dealt with. Avoid NYS Discount Tire at all costs. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! Several of my tires were not properly installed which almost led to a major car accident on my way home. I tried speaking with Dana and explaining my situation...she could care less about my life or the lives of others. This place is a hazard and danger to society. Dana at the front desk is not only rude, but confrontational with customers. She became verbally threatening and is very very rude to customers. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE or you might regret it......T and Ed Campbell are Dana...Their Review is fake...THIS SHOP IS DANGEROUS..Dana is rude and dangerous

Great prices, fast service, well done job, kept the car clean, no messing with the car. free coffee in the waiting room, and a nice sweet lady in the office. As to the other notes of dirt, from other users... first its a tire shop, and it was not that dirty. looking at other shops it was clean..! The guys there worked on my car so fast, I did not have time to do a white glove test. the shop is fine, must be a clean freak...lol

So far so good! I desperately needed tires, long miles, far job no time.. So I just walked in when I had a moment and saw their sign. Didn't have the budget for new, asked if she had used, and the woman ( very, very nice and helpful ) had 4 use Michelins for my SUV for 40 a piece. I took a look, great condition, and within 30 minutes I drove home with confidence in pouring rain. They are great.

I went to nys discount tire in port Jefferson because the alignment and all 4 of my tires needed to be fixed they called me up to come back two days later and I went to pick up my car and it wasnt driving right so when I went back to them the counter girl got a little angry and started cursing so I asked her to not curse in front of me and she started going off about how if I don't like American women cursing then I shouldn't be in America and was continuing to make racist remarks. It was terrible customer service.

I have brought tires to be installed there 4 times and have always had a positive experience. The prices were fair and the service was quick. They will get my business again.

I called this shop by mistake and glad I did! I usually pay 138.00 to put my winter tires on my Subaru WRX and 4 wheel alignment! I paid 70 dollars instead ,great saving Dana and her Mom who run the shop are very lovely lady's

2018 I have recently went to NYS discount tire to have 4 new tires installed. After the new tires were installed I realized I needed a alignment. I brought back my vehicle 2 times and the alignment was still no good. I ended up being my truck to another shop to have the alignment done. I would not recommend anyone doing business here. The woman behind the counter is rude and disrespectful by hanging up on me when I was trying to explain my problem and asking for a refund for work that was not done properly.

Best tire shop I've been to hands down. I've been coming here for years now with several different vehicles that need tire attention. They always have what I need. The staff is always professional and courteous and will steer you in the right direction whether it be information or product.

Woman was extremely rude and sarcastic for no reason when I called, also lied about mounting machine. She didn t even introduce the store, I thought i had the wrong number, she just said hello angrily.

Came to New York Tire for tires and an oil change and walked away more than satisfied. Surprisingly, I was given an great discount by Dana at the front desk. She went above and beyond to meet my needs. This place rocks!

- I was trying to relay my tire Size over the phone and this rude, nasty women named Dana told me she was too stupid to take my information and if I wanted tires to come in with my size. She not only used the words stupid but "I must be mentally retarded since I can't comprehend this information" I've never in my life dealt with someone so nasty and rude. This women should not only be fired but not given one more job with customer service.
