Mike seems like an honest business owner that isn t out to nickel and dime. His shop checked out the car I was considering buying and didn t charge me. If I lived in the area, I would give them all my business.

On a 200 mile road trip to visit relatives, our brakes started grinding. While I was inside visiting, my husband "fixed" the car. We stopped for gas a mile away from the nursing home and the wheel was smoking! A few calls later we were referred to Mike's, only a few miles away. At 2PM, they were able to squeeze us in, and got it fixed so we could get home that night. It was a frozen caliper. The woman at the desk was so understanding and accommodating, by the time we got there I was totally freaking out!

My father goes to this shop because it is close to our home, always pays 75 for an oil change has never gone any place else. I was told that would be the price upon drop-off, I never receive a call to pick up the vehicle so I have to call them to tell me it's done. upon pick up the price is now 105 after me showing her previous receipts of it only being 75 dollars tells me the price went up even though I was never told that when I dropped the vehicle off. that being said after going back and forth with her while the other lady is sitting there told me 75 has nothing to say but eat her lunch. I pay the 105 and go to leave and there's no oil sticker so I go back in and she tells me "they are notorious for forgetting that" unprofessional said the least won't be returning to them nor will my family.

Recommended by a friend. First time at Mike's. Highly recommend! Honest! Awesome communication! Lynne at the front desk was the first person I met... courteous/polite! Mike inquired about the car's "symptoms" and with his own observations he discovered the problem! He is very knowledgeable of older/classic Hondas and their "problem histories". Highly recommend. Spoke with Theresa who was bright and happy, to arrange my first appt there on my 2020 Accord . My car was done properly, on time, and at the quoted price. Mike met with me and explained a few things and he was spot on. Will definitely return with the rest of our Hondas. Thanks. Was very pleased with my first trip to Mike's. Mike took the time to explain what was done on my wife's Honda pilot and what need attention going forward. Was impressed with the cleanliness of the waiting area as well as the shop. Will be returning. Thanks Mike and staff.

Reliability and peace of mind is what you will find at Mike's Mechanic's Service. I have been going to Mike's for over 15 years and this is especially important now that the kids have cars (Honda's & VW'S). Mike and his crew repair all makes and models. They are honest with repairs and maintenance, always willing to explain what needs to be done and what can wait for later. I love the personal touch of this "Family" run shop, the front desk is always courteous and organized, regardless of what gets done the car is cleaned , fluids are topped off and a check up call one to two days later to see to confirm all is well. The minute I walked into Mike's, I was greeted by a terrific lady named Fran and she made me feel comfortable right away. I then met Mike, and then I knew I finally found the right place to bring my car! My air-conditioning hasn't worked in almost 2years so I left my car for the day. A while later I got the call my car was ready so when I asked how much is it going to cost? Fran said " the part was $10 and labor was $95 so total of $105" so I asked are you sure? She said Mike found it was a fuse link and my air-conditioning was working great! So the honesty and compassion that they all showed me, I will never forget! They are wonderful people and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a great mechanic!

Mike's Mechanic's Services is a great, professional shop, specializing in Honda, but they can work on any vehicle. They only use OEM parts. They are honest and have integrity. Just a few things Mike has done for me include, checking out a vehicle I was buying free of charge and getting me a better price based on his inspection. Checking out my a/c system for free, not just filling up my freon and letting it slowly leak out. He goes over the whole vehicle, he'll point out points where you could do maintenance but doesn't try to get you do do work you don't need to. Fran, who is the woman you speak to on the phone is a sweetheart. If you go to this establishment in good faith, you will not be disappointed. My opinion is that you get a very good value here bc it inspires confidence in your vehicle to know it is being thoroughly looked after. My cars are almost 20 years old, one of them Mike had been maintaining for many years and it runs and drives flawlessly.

This service center is honest, does excellent work and their pricing is fair and transparent. They get the work done when promised.The people that work here are friendly, they don't try to up sell you and prices for all service work are in writing with suggestions on what work needs to be done at each mileage level. Wonderful.The waiting room is clean and I always drive away knowing that I got excellent service work at fair prices. This is one outstanding establishment with wonderful people working there. You can't go wrong trusting repairs or maintenance to Mikes Mechanics Services. Highly recommended!

A mechanic you can trust, Mike s has been caring for our cars on & off for nearly 20 yrs. They keep an eye on safety, don t push unnecessary repairs and are always helpful & polite. When our cars are new we go to the dealer - after that we trust Mike s.

I needed exhaust work done fast, Mike took me in the next day. They did the repair and a 4x4 service on my ford escape. They even swapped a tire from front to back that I thought was causing excessive noise. They did it fast and at a great price. I will recommend him to all my family a friends.

If you are looking for cheap you should not go here. They charge the going rate for good work and will only use Honda parts on my Honda. That took me by surprise but they explained to me they want it right the first time. After going there for a few years I now know they are right. I never leave Mike's feeling that I didn't get my moneys worth because I don't mind paying a fair price to have the peace of mind that the problem is fixed.

The best Honda service you can get outside of dealership (and the same goes for other makes). Everything is explained, your options are laid out, the work is done correctly the first time and you get a follow up call to check on the vehicle. In over 45 years of car ownership, Mike's is one of the very few mechanics that I have ever recommended to friends and family.

Ive been coming here for years. I love this place. You always get great service and they never try to up-sell you, they just tell you what you need and do a good job at it. Knowledgeable and friendly, highly recommended. I have a Honda Civic I ve been bringing there and it s got 239,000 miles and still going thanks to Mike and crew.

Need a trustworthy and reliable mechanic? Mike and his team are the way to go.I have been taking my cars to Mike since 2008 and can't be happier. Always honest and professional. What else can you want?

I was told I had a broken transmission cost $1500 to $2869 to repair. I rented a car while my Brother looked for a better deal and found one.Called Mike the night before and left msg that brother Warner who owns Scott auto in Huntington picking up the car. No call back from Mike so I called back. His receptionist said off the bat Are you gonna do it or not ( meaning the transmission)I said no.Then everything changed.Know he thinks it the axle 5 days later. A whole lot of BS and explanation. Mike insisted on looking at car again.Mike was very Indecisive a lot of back and forth calls. So I had Warner call him and he told him don t touch the car. Mike said car was on lift already taken apart and they re at lunch back at 2pm.I made a surprise visit at 2:05pm funny car is done And parked. Mike was supposed to call my brother back. Mike said I don t know what I m going to do with your brother I was supposed to call him back . I will tell my brother don t worry. He thought my brother was paying. When I told him I was paying he said oh that changes everything !Finally it was only a $271 axle.His receptionists with short dark hair is Rude, disregarding, obnoxious, COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! With her snarky comments and replies.If you re a woman and your car brakes down while in Port Jefferson DO NOT GO THERE!SHYSTERS!!!

Had my Honda Pilot towed in With a no start and told them I had a noise in the front end as well while driving- they called me right away to tell me the starter was bad and front strut was leaking. The car was repaired and finished out front same day even made accommodations for pick up/drop off after hours. They also called me a few days after I got my car back just to make sure everything was running great highly recommend will definitely go back again.Service: Engine repair

I have been going to mike's mechanic's for a few years now and the expertise and honesty is highly appreciated. My car feels like I'm driving a brand new car when I leave. All the mechanic's do an amazing job. The ladies in the office are so pleasant and very professional. I will alway's bring my car here. Thank you alway's.

I've been going to Mike for 25 years and he's helped my Hondas run well for 250,000 miles plus. Staff is curious and trustworthy. It's nice to feel safe when taking your car to be fixed. They're not out to take you to the bank, they just do it rigjt.

As someone with an old, and honestly not the best, car I'm no stranger to having to get things fixed. After searching around for a few years for a good mechanic, I got recommended Mike's. Now there's nowhere else I could even imagine going. Quick and great service with a friendly staff, I couldn't recommend them enough!

Totally concur with all the 5-star comments. Always a good experience. Mike's tells you what is needed and what isn't. Charges market rates but here you can be assured you are getting your money's worth. As for the 1-star comments? I would like to hear a reply before I judge. There are two sides to a story.

If you are young do not go here under any circumstances. Have had multiple extra small services done here from inspection to oil change and the car leaves with a new problem everytime. They will not take you seriously and brush it off as your fault even if everything was totally functional before ending up in their care. They have never wronged any of my older family members either, pathetic.
